Second time we have stayed here, will make it a third sometime in the future. Great cottage and location

Simpathetically converted malt house in a peaceful setting. Good sized house with absolutely brilliant garden that had plenty space for the dogs to run around. Comfy beds with fresh linen, towels, robes and slippers. Well stocked kitchen with thoughtful welcome gift. Cozy lounge with plenty logs for the burner. Great little study space for those that still have to do a bit of work. Hot tub clean with non-slip rubber mats around it. Unfortunately, more careful attention needed from cleaning team in places, which was disappointing - for the money, perfection expected. Warning for fellow townies - go less than walking pace along the track to prevent the underside of your car getting scraped, unless you drive a land rover. Also, the bins are located at the end of the road, so stinky rubbish needs to go in the car - too far to carry it. We're not precious about our car but our son flatly refused to take it in his new car!

Such a beautiful little get away with so many little hidden gems nearby! Was quiet 24/7 and we loved the peace and the amount of sun the garden and hot tub got. Such a cosy cottage and made us feel at home straight away, worth the drive! Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

The house was wonderful - we were delighted with both the location and with the property. The house was immaculate, and beautifully furnished with some really lovely pictures and objects throughout. The rooms were all good-sized and bright with the kitchen/dining area overlooking the garden a real standout. It was very well maintained and it felt like a proper home from home. The location was really lovely too - nice and quiet with a very short walk to the beach. We particularly enjoyed our walks around the area and along to Chanonry Point to look for the dolphins. A local pub and a lovely restaurant were close by too which was a bonus! Our host, Eva, provided us with clear and concise information prior to our arrival and messaged us a couple of times during our stay to make sure that all was in order. This was very much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend the property to others, and we certainly plan to visit again!

Fantastic stay at Capo Farmhouse. Brilliant location, gorgeous house and a very helpful and very responsive to any questions or help that we required. We stayed for a special birthday and felt right at home and staying with Caroline made our special trip extra perfect.

Beautiful location - clear directions supplied by the host. Local pub serving good food within a 5 minute walk. Cottage itself was clean & within a quiet location. There is a hot tub in a separate building available at an extra cost - was also clean, ready to use with a plentiful supply of towels . Would recommend for a couple looking for a weekend away interested in walking or exploring the surrounding areas

Truly “off grid” in the literal sense! It runs on batteries and a generator!! Despite it not having wifi we all had great 4G so never felt truly disconnected thankfully. It’s such a private place with literally nobody for a square mile or more probably. I would say in the winter you will need a 4x4 to access as it’s a mile down a dirt track! Amazing place and can’t wait to revisit :)

This place saved our holiday! We were camping in the Cairngorms and ended up with a catastrophic failure of our tent on the second night. Booked this beautiful cottage at 3:30am and checked in just over 12 hours later! Communication from Laura was fab, and she was always on hand with any queries we had. Delightful little cottage, and the bonus of a hot-tub and sauna made for a very different holiday than we had planned in a soggy tent. Would highly recommend, and would certainly look to go back if we stay in this part of Scotland again

Great host and loved the location and accommodation. Garden was great for the dogs and chilling with a beer and beautiful beach 5 minutes across the road. Locals and neighbours were very friendly Travelled to John ‘Groats, The Black Isle and Nairn during our stay. Highly recommend as either a base for touring or just a peaceful break in beautiful unspoilt surroundings.

I loved my short stay at Otter Cottage. The location is just beautiful and felt tranquil. The cottage is very well-equipped and comfortable but also avoids unnecessary clutter so feels spacious inside. The big windows looking out over the canal & Beauly Firth were a joy. Helen was friendly and prompt in her replies to messages and, although there was no need for us to meet, I felt welcomed by the thoughtful touches which greeted me at the property. I definitely hope to return. Thank you, Helen!

Great place to stay! We really liked sitting in front of the fire in the evening, drinking tea and whisky. Can definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Bluefolds for my Dad's 70th. The view from the property is spectacular and ever changing, and you'd never get bored of that alone! Sue was a wonderful host, very welcoming and proactive. The accommodation has everything you could need for a stay there. Take your walking boots, make sure your pets are treated for ticks (as its on a sheep farm), and have an incredible time :)

Fab little cottage, exceeded my expectations. Only stayed 2 nights whilst travelling to support my Hubby whilst cycling LEJOG. Briony was very welcoming to myself and our two Labs who loved the secure garden and watching the cattle wander past the hedge!

Very comfortable cottage in peaceful location yet only a couple of minutes walk from the main street of Braemar.

We loved Alexander and Bart’s beautiful cottage. It’s all been said in previous reviews but it truly is a clean, quirky, charming, generous place to be. We all slept like babies in the oh-so-comfortable beds and linens in this peaceful haven. Waking up to sunshine and birdsong and a cuppa in the pretty garden left us wishing we could stay longer. Amazing escape from the busy world. We loved the calm environment at the bothy and the wildlife in the surroundings. Spending some days without permanent electricity and cooking on the Rayburn was a great experience to slow down during holidays

My group of 4 really enjoyed our stay at Ken’s! We were here for 2 nights. We had a car so it was easy to go out and about. The city centre of Inverness is very close with a lot to see and eat. We enjoyed an afternoon at Culloden Battlefield, lunch at Playback, dinner at Cheese & Tomatin and a drink at McGregor’s. We also visited Castle Tavern for a dinner one night. Would definitely recommend Ken’s stay!

We had a very lovely week - the perfect holiday, relaxing, but lots to see and do. The cottage worked very well for the three of us.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Ballater. The scenery is breathtaking – nestled in the Cairngorms, with rolling hills, rivers, and peaceful walks right from the doorstep. The village itself is charming, with lovely cafés, friendly locals, and a strong sense of history. Our accommodation was spotless, cozy, and perfectly situated for exploring Royal Deeside. Waking up to such beautiful surroundings each day was a dream. We would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

This cottage is one of a kind. What a beautiful and authentic Scottish home and surroundings. Yvonne was very responsive when we needed her. Incredible stay!

This is a fantastic house set back from the road in beautiful Newtonmore. Lots of wildlife can be seen from the windows along with the beautiful Cairngorms. Great open space for the family and the log fire was a bonus! Will definitely stay again on the future.

We loved our stay at Sonja's place. It was cosy and had everything we needed, a sufficient distance away from the main street for a little quiet yet close enough for convenience. My girls especially loved the giant teddy and had many adventures in Sonja's lovely house with him. Sonja was also quick to respond to the one or two questions we had - we highly recommend her place!
