Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Athens County

aside from not having hangers to hang clothes, host was friendly, replied quickly, pet friendly with a fenced in yard Lucky had sooo much fun and didn’t want to leave. peaceful and very close to campus for the alumni festivities.

We LOVED our stay!! The property was so magical and very private (our favorite part). The first day we were there, the sun was shining and we spent our time lying in the flower field. The hot tub was perfect and so comforting at night. The fire pit by the pond was so calming and the full moon reflecting off the water was so serene. Following the sunny day, we had a rainy day by the pond which fulfilled all my fairy garden pond dreams 🧚🐸 the frogs were active, the pond alive. Genuinely one of my favorite places I’ve stayed. There’s magic in the air. On the sunny day, we drove 20 min to ash cave and cold plunged under the waterfall. It was amazing. We had a 2wd car - it took a couple tries to get up the hill, but we were able to do it. We did not leave the property on the rainy day, we would not have been able to get up the driveway. So definitely keep in mind the weather if you aren’t driving a 4wd vehicle.

This is our second time staying at Amanda's place, and we plan to stay again! For reference, I stayed with my husband and two small children (1 and 4). If you are looking for a kid friendly place, this place is great. By closing all doors upstairs, our one-year old could roam around the kitchen and living room freely without getting into trouble. Our four-year old loves roaming around the patio and yard. We all appreciate the views and beautiful sunrises. I, personally, have enjoyed the coffee setup both times. :) Comfy, cozy, well-updated home.

Beautiful spot located just outside of Athens. Placed was perfect for a weekend gathering. The hot tub was a welcome treat and we also took advantage of the grill and fire pit. I'd definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

We were visiting for our daughter's graduation from Ohio University and this was a great location. There are a couple ways to get to this location from the university so be careful because one way will take you 25 minutes and the other takes about 15 minutes. We found the home to be incredibly clean with great amenities although we did not get to use them because we were gone at the university. I'm sure the hot tub would be great but the weather was not conducive to being outdoors at the time. There is a lot of space, plenty for six people. The location is very private and secluded., also incredibly scenic! Everything was true to the pictures and I felt it was reasonably priced. The host was exceptionally great and easy to communicate with!! I would highly recommend this Airbnb.

I can't wait to return next year! I loved the country farm setting and the super friendly outdoor kitty. Deborah was such a wonderful host! My family felt so at home. The house is gorgeous and so spacious. Loved the fully stocked kitchen. I haven't slept that good in I don't know how long! I highly recommend the Farm 🚜 House 🏠 😍

Jolinda's place perfect for our gathering and family celebration. The living room/dinning room/kitchen area allowed for all 12 of us to relax and have plenty of room. Having all the rooms on one level made it easy for the grandparents. I highly recommend Jolinda's place.

Fantastic solo stay! Most communicative, responsive host I've ever had. Very good, clear instructions about everything well in advance. BEAUTIFUL area and cabin! Plenty of great hiking locally. Needed some peace after death in family and this is an ideal spot and size for single stay. If I were single, I would live here. Would definitely stay again!!

Dran's place is amazing! Everything was clean and tidy with enough room for many folks to stay comfortably, and it's less than 10 minutes from town. My family stayed here while visiting us in Athens, and we made good use of the grill, hot tub, game room, and kitchen - it was absolutely perfect for the kids, too. We will definitely be booking this again!

The pictures and description were spot on. I loved the history involving the cabin and the old pictures/items integrated into the space. Serene setting with a peaceful ambience. Will look forward to possible future stays. David was great, responsive, and available if we had any issues. The hot tub was a nice addition. My only gripe would be that we didn’t stay in cloud covered Ohio. The stars would have been nice to watch when sitting out in the tub at midnight. Not much I could do about that though.

Our family stayed at Dragonfly Retreat for 4 days this weekend for a little rest and relaxation and absolutely loved it! Ashley & Clint were quick to respond with any questions and were overall very accommodating; they even went as far as explaining to us how to connect our Xbox to the theater screen to make it more like "home" for our stay. We are a family of six and had plenty of space for our children to spread out and enjoy themselves and they still decided to spend one night in the bunk room together! We would happily recommend Dragonfly Retreat to our family and friends! Our kids loved it so much they want us to make the Dragonfly Retreat our yearly tradition and my husband & I agree!! Thomas was great about communicating from start to finish. The location of the cabin feels super remote and private, yet it's convenient to Rt 33. We stayed here during Moms' Weekend for OU. It was nice to be able to bring our dog to visit with my son. The hot tub was a nice feature, especially since it rained the whole weekend, and we didn't have much to do. The place was nice and clean. Definitely need a 4x4 to get up the driveway. The climb was steep, but even with all the rain, we didn't have any issue.

This was our second stay, Colton was very responsive and helpful. We absolutely enjoyed the hot tub after a long week and had some good laughs and fun playing pool and eating some good local food. Will be visiting again and telling friends/family of this little hidden gem.

Cabin was comfy and cozy. Clean. Her directions to the place are on point and easy to navigate. Hot tub was clean and enjoyable. For having well water, there was no well water smell! Smells clean and like chlorine! Bed was comfy. The lack of WiFi makes it a little troublesome to plan a day, but that is to be expected since it’s deep in the woods. Recommended, and would stay again.
