Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Armamar

I don't know where to start! Our visit to the Douro Valley couldn't have been better! Casa Souto was everything that we thought it would be. Both Mr. João Souto and Ms. Maria de Fatima were the absolute BEST hosts we've ever had. They went above and beyond in every conceivable way! They truly created a home for us, Thank you so very much, we appreciated our visit more than you'll ever know!! * hugs* from your canadian friends and new family members!! Love to you both! 🧡

Was one of the best places we could get in the north side of Portugal. The pictures do match with reality, it is extremely private, great apple tries for cool pictures, and of course very peaceful. I would recommend 100%.

Marina is a lovely and very responsive host. The house is beautiful, perfectly true to the photos. A little piece of heaven to recharge and visit the surrounding villages.

A breathtaking view in an idyllic setting, a very functional house with air conditioning and a swimming pool that are very appreciable in the hot weather. We'll be happy to go back.

We went to rest and it was great, we went with our pets who had a great time, we had our own pool to enjoy the place even more. I was afraid of being hot and in the photos, although you can't see it, there is portable air conditioning, which works very well since in the afternoon you can watch the sunsets while having dinner in the living room with the large window that lets in the light and is spectacular, also from the table on the private terrace, or from the pool while you bathe. Teresa and Jorge give great recommendations, we had a great time and we wanted more! They are as charming as the place, with its little forest. We were all sad after we left. Fantastic location close to lots of things to visit around the Douro. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have dinner with Jose and Annabelle, very good and great value. We were suprised at just how high the hills are around the Douro valley, you can be driving above the clouds!

We had never been to this area so we’re glad we rented a car in order to take a few side trips to some wineries. The place is modern, spacious and very clean. We especially liked the balcony overlooking the River. It would be helpful for more complete instructions in the “welcome book” for how to work appliances. We only used the washer/dryer but there are some great items to use in the kitchen. Beautiful apartment!

You'll get more than you see. Very quiet and in beautiful area. The host is humble and tidy. Excellent. At least 6 stars.

The super nice complex is an oasis in the somewhat bustling environment of the city of Vila Real. Ins and their people are very friendly and extremely nice without being intrusive. Fresh bread is brought to the house every morning, great service, also the daily cleaning of the bungalow is very pleasant. The garden surfaces are very well maintained, the pool is cleaned daily, the water is super clear and refreshing. Our bungalow was more spacious than it looked in the pictures and wonderfully cool due to the thick granite walls even at 33 degrees outside temperature. The excursion tips are lovingly drawn and well thought through. All in all, four of us had a wonderful week at Ines. Thank you!

It was a very pleasant stay! It was all super clean, something we highly valued! Having where to park the car next to the house, with its own plaza seemed phenomenal to us!

Fantastic apartment right in the heart of charming Vila Real. The place had everything we needed and was an important factor in our enjoyment of the city and our vacation. Highly recommended.

Staff was wonderful, very helpful and responsive. We had a delightful wine tasting. They set up a taxi to take us to town and told us where to have dinner. The small village was extremely charming, we had a great dinner and our taxi driver was waiting to take us back after. The room and property were top notch. the only minor issue we had and it may be our fault, is we were further away from the Douro Valley than we thought. The directions were correct, but I missed my turn into the property, it isnt much of a road and it sneaks up on you. It would be challenging to find at night. But in the end, we were extremely pleased with our experience and very glad we stayed. We would wholeheartedly recommend it!!

This is a large and beautiful apartment! It was super clean, and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook my own meals for the two nights I was there. Manuel expressed his wishes for me to be comfortable, and I was! He provided an excellent, savory pastry that I enjoyed for my two lunches while out exploring the Douru Valley. This accommodation is highly recommended!

Maria was a wonderful host, she provided us with a lovely breakfast every morning, and the apartment was immaculately clean and well equipped. Definitely recommended!

Beautiful view and fantastic pool. House a little older but retains quality. Felipe was fantastic from the booking until the checkout time. I highly recommend!

My family and I had a lovely time at Quinta do Vale da Ermida. Very quiet and peaceful location with a stunning view, especially from the pool. Very spacious and equipped with all the amenities we required for our stay. Last but not least, Catarina was always very responsive, helpful, and proactive in her communication with us. Would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and it was nice having two bathrooms. The patio was nice to enjoy too with great views all around. We had a car with us and we're able to park it across the street in an off street parking space. Julio was kind to give us a quick talk about the region and a taste of his delicious port wine.

I can't say enough about how incredible this Airbnb was, Carla and her property were so beyond expectations. My family and I felt extremely comfortable there, it is remote but absolutely beautiful. We were not able to use the pool, because the weather was a little bit cold. I jumped in for like 20 minutes and even though it was cold it was very nice. Carla was so communicative the entire time we were there, she made lots of helpful suggestions and helped us to book a tour around the Douro Valley and surrounding areas. She and a friend also cooked us breakfast every morning, which was delicious and helped us to start our day. 10 out of 10, I would absolutely return.

I don't think you could ever tire of the views from Quinta do Fraguil. They're breathtaking - we kept taking just one more photo! It's so special to be able to see so far into the distance and right down to the bottom of the valley. Even the local viewing point didn't match it! From start to finish, Rui was a friendly and really responsive host. He made us feel confident as soon as we had booked that we were going to be staying somewhere special. He turned up to meet us when we arrived and was in really good contact any time we needed to ask him anything before or during our stay. The pool is a total highlight - a good size and really clean. The house itself was also really clean and tastefully furnished. The outside eating area was perfect and made you feel happy to stay 'at home' and cook! We had sunshine every day and warm evenings sitting outside. This is the sort of place that you feel really sad to leave at the end of your holiday and one that you're very likely to visit again.

A warm welcome, Dario not being present, he passed the relay to 2 people including the housekeeper to our surprise by the way, she brought us a magnificent homemade bread and jam for our arrival. The house is very clean and pleasant fresh for perfect summer! Provsende is a small, typical and pleasant village. We are always afraid of people's eyes towards our dogs and everything went very well, you just have to get organized with Fernanda the maid so that she can do her work every 3.4 days, the beds and bath towels are changing. We were pampered like a hotel! Parking is relatively easy, just do it at the bell tower on Sundays mornings at Mass😉. Thanks for everything!

This property is beautifully appointed, with great amenities and a wonderfully peaceful location. It's a great stay close to the Douro Valley and surrounding nature. João was a very responsive and welcoming host, we had a couple of very minor issues on arrival and they were resolved within an hour, exceptional service and hospitality! If you are looking for an authentic getaway in Portugal this property is a fantastic choice.
