Well placed with a fabulous view. A short walk to two pubs, both dog friendly- where we were made very welcome on the first night of our trip. Fantastic shower too!

I think we’ve never woke up in a bed with such a view. And Skye cottage is very cosy , well equipped (thanks for the binoculars). And Alan and Hilary are so friendly. We were picked at the ferry arrival and our luggage brought back there

lovely place to stay. we were working in the area and it was good value compared to other places. tarbert is a beautiful village, only a 5/10 minute drive from the house. lots of space, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and a good outdoor space to spend time in. Caitlin was very flexible about letting us check in early which was great.

Achnaha is a beautiful house. Lots of space and stunning views. The accommodation is flexible, we were a family of four with another couple and all had plenty of space. Our dog loved the garden. Lots of things to do, particularly loved our trip to Gigha! Would highly recommend. Thank you Kim 😀

Shorefield was a delight to stay in. The views were breathtaking from the house and we could even catch the sunrise. Pi also provided boardgames which provided loads of fun for our family.

Very cosy cottage in a beautiful, quiet location. The cottage had everything we needed. Nice views out to the sea from the big windows. To the back of the house, views out to the farm with sheep, lambs and rabbits running around. We drove all over Islay during our stay so, although the cottage is fairly remote, it doesn’t take long to access other parts of the island. Plenty of wildlife to spot, we saw eagles on more than one occasion, but unfortunately no otters. Particularly enjoyed the trip up to the American memorial, distillery tours, trip to Jura for the day (warning - you have to reverse on to the small ferry!), Finlaggan and the Oyster Shed. There are a lot of single track roads to negotiate and some of the surfaces are quite rough but we found it to be part of the adventure. Enjoy the peace and quiet. We had a great time.

Cabin in Lochranza

XavierRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed for 2 nights end of April and had a fantastic stay in Arran. Joanna and her husband were very welcoming and picked us up at the start of the path that leads to their house. After that we did everything by foot as the path is a very nice walk any time of the day. One perk is that It was walking distance from Distillery so we didn’t have to drive. They recommended nice restaurants in Lochranza and Corrie. The cabin was comfortable and very clean. The view from the lounge is superb and we can see animals such sheep and rabbits walking around. We definitely recommend.
