Monthly Rentals in Anuradhapura

From the first moment we felt very welcome with Shehan and his family. His wife cooked an insanely delicious dinner with various local dishes. The night was quiet and we were able to sleep very well. The breakfast was just as delicious - with local influence like coconut pancakes and a special porridge, eggs, tomatoes and cucumber, toast, honey, butter and fresh fruits. We were able to borrow bikes cheaply at the property to discover the old town and also booked the Sunset excursion via Shehan to Mihintale, which is highly recommended. Shehan is a great host who also responds very quickly and always makes an effort. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay with the whole family, which made us feel very much at home. We enjoyed learning about the area and had many beautiful insights into the local tradition and Buddhism on the tour in Anuradhapura ! Gunarathna is a wonderful tour guide. The food was amazing - best coconut sambal ever ! There is not so much to do in the area, but there are bikes, so exploring the village is a great way of simply enjoying village life for a moment. We will never forget our wonderful stay at Aaryaa's gorgeous home. Aaryya and Rajan were so welcoming, helpful and kind, organising tuk tuk drivers and a guide for us and giving us all sorts of useful tips and information. We really enjoyed chatting with Aaryya who is well travelled and interesting. Rajan cooked sumptious Sri Lankan breakfasts and showed us around the beautiful garden. We would recommend getting up super early to see the sites of Anuradhapura as there are many to see with the day ticket and it gets very hot. Do not hesitate to book this lovely place.

Thank you for the great stay. We had a wonderful time at Chathurika. The accommodation has a fantastic location by the lake. We were able to observe a lot of birds and animals. The room was super clean & beautifully decorated. We felt very comfortable throughout the house and were able to relax very well. There are many attractions to explore nearby. The food was delicious & we had the best tuna on our trip. Big recommendation. The entire team was super friendly & helpful. We would love to come back again :-)
