Great location. Clean & tidy space. Kids loved staying in a lighthouse!

This was a brief fishing trip for my husband and our sons - they had a great time - location and lodging. We already discussed renting the entire lighthouse for the whole family to stay next time. Thank you for all your help Christian!

We loved staying at this place! The windmill made us feel like we were living in a fairytale. The property is remarkable in its beauty and creative design, combining stone, wood, and plenty of charm. There is an outside kitchen with a table, an outdoor seating area near the other kitchen, a garden, and an outdoor shower with a millstone for the floor. What a joy it is to take a cool shower as you feel the breeze while hearing the birds and the little lizards that live within the crevices of the stone wall come and go. Take out the hammocks at night to enjoy the stars! Sleeping in the very top bedroom is a unique experience. However, the stairs are very steep, and you should exercise caution (not recommended for sleepwalkers!) Marifer, Jesús, and Ana Griselda

We had such a wonderful stay at the Selkirk/Salmon River Lighthouse! We came to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday and it was even more awesome than we had imagined it’d be. Christian was a great host, super friendly and helpful, communicative and flexible. He was so accommodating with our schedule and did a great job of checking in with us to see if we needed anything throughout our stay. We found the lighthouse clean and cozy and perfect for our needs, and loved the history and essence of the whole place. Christian delighted us with a trip to the birdcage and top of the light which really capped the whole experience. Swimming in Lake Ontario and exploring the beach was a true highlight for us. Kayaking Salmon River was a beautiful and peaceful way to start one of our mornings. (And Annie’s Diner in town serves great biscuits and gravy). Such a bucket list kind of trip, and a real true gem of a place.

Absolutely stunning experience staying in a minor snowstorm that gave way to the most jaw dropping views of park city. Getting in would’ve been hairy without a capable 4WD, but even at night in the snow we were able to find Marty’s towering home. Amenities were excellent and well stocked. Furniture was comfortable and plentiful. Zero complaints.

This is a great place to unplug. It does have WIFI and we did use it, but the kids enjoyed the outside area. The property is gated. Entrance to the beach is locked which kept the kids from entering the beach without an adult. We talked; played games; hunted for shark teeth and shells; played in the sand; we took our outside games (corn hoe, crocket set, soccer ball and volley balls, wiffle ball; very little Nintendo time). It is different because children are used to big events during vacations. We made the big events time with family. My two children and their children attended a total of 13 of us enjoyed this beautiful keeper's house. We rented both sides. You will not regret it. The seven grandchildren begged to come back next year. I have reserved it again for next year.

Was an amazing location, house and host. Let us use all his water sports equipment free of charge. He gave us a house tour of the whole accommodation which was incredible. Lovely guy! Made sure we had the best time as he wasn’t bothered about the noise being made he just wanted us to enjoy ourselves. will definitely be back soon! highly recommend.

We had a big crew at the Lighthouse and it was everything that we wanted for our summer trip! The kids were over the moon with all the fun activities that the house provided us—arcade games, card games on the poker table, soccer on the backyard patch of turf, playing on the dock, running around on the beach, taking a spin on the kayaks. They especially had a riot on the floating pad! While the kids were entertained, the adults had an equally enjoyable time cooking (we've never had such a big fridge before!) and eating on the deck with the incredible view, relaxing and spreading out in various areas in the house, and chilling out on the beach. It was an incredible trip to kick off our summer. The host was very responsive and accommodating. He made sure that our trip was fantastic and carefree. We'll be back to visit Yuba Lake in the future!

Cove Point Lighthouse is magical; a unique vacation experience that exceeded our expectations. The property was meticulously maintained, peaceful, and private (with the exception of visiting hours, which are clearly stated). We appreciated the gated property as an additional safety measure for our children. Between the vast lawns, private beach, and historical value, there was much to explore. Sunrises and sunsets did NOT disappoint and reading on the screened in porch was good for the soul! We visited the Calvert Marine Museum, The Lighthouse Restaurant and Dock Bar, and The Pier Restaurant and River Bar, all of which we’d recommend (about 15 minutes away). We also enjoyed searching for a healthy haul of shark teeth on the beach. Marci’s hospitality was spot on. We would certainly consider a repeat vacation here to create more beautiful memories! (Note: It was helpful to bring layers of clothing for coast weather, bottled drinking water, and indoor/outdoor blankets for snuggling.)

Barbara was an excellent host. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable in her home. She is a caring and generous host. The house had everything I needed to cook. The trails behind her house were a plus—great place to walk my dog. I will definitely return if I need a place to stay in Oro Valley again.

Beautiful home in a perfect surrounding. We loved everything about this home. Jan gave us great instructions and we were able to walk right in and relax. It was super clean! We prepared meals and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We took Jan’s restaurant recommendation at the Fitz and could not have been happier. Thank you for the perfect weekend in the U.P.

Si buscan alejarse de la ciudad y del televisor, adentrarse en el campo, tener una vista maravillosa, y un clima agradable, lo recomiendo mucho. Las cabañas son modestas, se entiende que por el precio no son 5 estrellas. La atención de la señora Nelly fue espectacular y nos cocinó muy rico según una lista previa que hicimos (comida criolla). La piscina es pequeña y tuvo un fallo mecánico durante nuestra estadía, sin embargo la pudimos disfrutar. Fui con mis dos hijos de 3 y 5 años y estuvieron de visita las nietas de la señora Nelly con las cuales se divirtieron un montón. No se querían devolver. En general la pasamos muy bien, volveríamos. Por mejorar sugiero los accesos a las cabañas, pues varias losetas están sueltas y se mueven, además, las plantas que sembraron quedaron muy cerca y es un poco incomodo. También tiene pequeños detalles de acabados que podrían ir mejorando. Gracias señora Nelly y Neyder, fue un lindo paseo para mi familia.

¡Excelente elección! Me quedé en este alojamiento durante dos noches y fue una experiencia increíble. La casa es hermosa, limpia y cómoda, con todo lo necesario para sentirse como en casa. La ubicación es perfecta; Coyoacan es un lugar hermoso y tranquilo que sin duda tienen que visitar en su visita a CDMX. Los anfitriones son muy amables y atentos, excelentes personas. En resumen, este alojamiento es una joya, lo recomiendo altamente a cualquiera que busque un lugar acogedor y confortable.

This is not a typical Airbnb stay ! So much more. The house was immaculately clean, spacious, and thoughtfully set up with everything we could need. The kitchen was fully equipped, and every room had cozy, comfortable spots that made us want to stay indoors and unwind. But what really sets this place apart is the outdoor space. The spacious yard offers a peaceful retreat with a beautiful peek at the river. There’s even a barbecue grill outside, perfect for enjoying the open air and making the most perfect week-end meals. Nearby shopping spots made it easy to grab all the groceries and essentials we needed for the weekend. This was the ideal location for a rejuvenating weekend escape, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

We stayed Derby weekend and this place is the perfect hidden gem for 4-6 people. It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the weekend, but close enough to attend the derby, restaurants, etc. just across the river. The property is literally right on the Ohio River with very nice views, boasts 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and is roomy with nice outdoor spaces!! The host, Brad, is extremely friendly and responsive and wants to ensure their guests have a great experience end to end. I would totally recommend the property for folks looking for a quick get away or the derby!!!! Excellent value for money!!

We loved our stay at the Lighthouse Suite! The space is smaller than regular accommodations but that is very clear in the description. Being able to have a hot shower indoors is already a plus for us given that this is a unique setup. The location is great - right next to the water and very near the Tablelands Trail. The views are also amazing at any time of day and we loved looking out whenever we were in the lighthouse or in the area. The waters are relaxing to look at during the day and the stars were amazing at night. I didn't get to meet Becky but she has always been friendly and proactive in communicating anything we needed to know regarding our stay. Highly recommended!
