Holiday houses in Amarante

Eu e as minhas filhas sentimo-nos em casa de Familiares mas daqueles que se preocupam. Desde o primeiro minuto até ao último segundo, indiscritível. Tem mesmo que ir la pois são pessoas que julguei que já não existiam. Estão sempre preocupados com os outros, fazem nos sentir em casa e não num airbnb. Já faço a muitos anos mas nunca experiênciei nada igual. A D. Madalen é como uma mãe para os Hóspedes e o Sr. Osvaldo como um Pai, Um amigo. Ficamos eternamente gratos e vamos voltar de certeza. Acreditem que o que possa escrever é mesmo pouco. A Carla também é 5*. Se conseguirem não perca a oportunidade. Adorei obrigado por tudo❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

We loved staying at Americo’s house. It was in a stunning location with beautiful views as far as the eye can see of the Douro valley. The house sits in well loved landscaped gardens, with a lovely pool and outside sitting/eating area. There is a bonus area with fruit trees. The house is well furnished, cosy and comfortable. It was plenty of room for two small families. Our hosts were so kind and communicated well throughout the process. We did have problems locating the house, even following the instructions (Apple Maps sent us to the wrong location). But the hosts were patient. It’s a bit of a drive to go to larger sight seeing attractions and very windy for non-confident drivers. But for us it was perfect - we had all we needed in a 20 minute radius and drove to Porto for one day (it’s a 50 minute drive). The house and location is stunning and the hosts welcoming - I would definitely return and recommend to others!

Wonderful traditional farmhouse, beautifully restored, great location near mountains and just minutes outside town, very peaceful, with everything we needed for our holiday.

Que dire de plus que les avis précédents, un des meilleur AIRBNB que nous ayons fait ! Nous étions deux couples et nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse. Pedro et Susane sont très sympathiques, chaleureux, nous avons été reçu comme des rois avec beaucoup d'attention et de nombreuses petites gourmandises que nous avons appréciées. La maison est très agréable, confortable, très calme, vue dominante exceptionnelle sur la campagne et les montagnes... on s'y sent très bien, les gens du village sont très gentils et accueillants. Les photos ne sont pas représentatives, c'est beaucoup mieux en réalité. Deux salles d'eau avec toilettes, dont une dans une chambre... vraiment idéal pour deux couples. Merci pour votre accueil et d'avoir fait l'effort de nous parler en français (Très bon !) Nous recommandons votre maison à 200% et nous espérons pouvoir revenir pour profiter de la vallée du Douro (exceptionnel !)

Vi havde et fantastisk ophold i boligen der ligger højt oppe med en super skøn udsigt. Poolen var opvarmet til 28-29C og var perfekt balanceret med klor. Det er et meget roligt og privat sted hvor vi som familie kunne slappe af i en uge. (lukket have og egen port). Vi blev budt velkommen af Daniel og Alicia og havde løbende kontakt med Daniel igennem ugen - altid nemt at få hjælp til noget og de reagerede hurtigt ved henvendelser.. Der opstod ingen problemer overhovedet i løbet af ugen og alt fungerede perfekt. Kommer vi til Portugal igen en dag, vil dette klart være et perfekt valg igen! Tak Daniel, Alicia og Marie for en fantastisk uge i jeres dejlige hus.

It was a great pleasure to spend the last week at Artur’s beautiful home. The house is architecturally designed, which a sophisticated blend of the original rustic stone walls combined with the best quality modern renovations. The setting very peaceful with a gorgeous pool with Baja shelf, a cooking area and loungers. All common areas of the house inside and out feature views of the mountains and surrounding villages. The home is well appointed. The kitchen has all the equipment needed for us to cook delicious Portuguese meals each night. The bedding is good quality and the home was well stocked. The furniture and sofa were good quality. Everything was spotlessly clean. We were hosted by Arthur, and Ana, who is a very friendly local lady that helped us check in. Both of them were proactive to ensure we were happy. My favorite part of the home is the hallway to the bedrooms, with la huge garden window and decorative lighting. Thank you to our hosts, we will be back!

A lovely old converted olive mill, in a very quiet and peaceful location with great views from the garden. The house and gardens are immaculately maintained. The gardens and pool area are a lovely space to relax in - although by end of September when we visited the pool was very cold so not all that usable unless you like your cold water swimming! But perfect for sitting out on a sunny day, or watching the sun go down in the evening. Inside the house is furnished in a very traditional style, which we thought made a lovely change from all the very modern properties that you often find on Airbnb, but obviously a matter of taste. The beds are on the firm side, but we didn’t find this a problem. Otherwise the house is very clean and comfortable and well equipped. A lovely base for exploring the Douro Valley and surrounding area by car. Definitely recommended.
