“We rested in a villa near Luke and Maureen from February 18 to 28. I must say right away that their whole family is very open, modest, kind, hospitable and decent people. This was our first visit to Asia, and we didn’t want to be a package tourist, but also a “savage”, nevertheless, I wanted to look at local life and be closer to nature. Having studied the suggestions and reviews, we chose their villa, because saw "participation and support" from the owners of the villa. Rest turned out to be eventful and full of impressions. On points: 1. Taxi: immediately asked the owner to arrange a taxi from the airport to the villa. It cost $ 60 (this is the standard cost of a taxi from the airport in Sri Lanka), a nice guy in a foreign car met us. Upon arrival, the owners of the villa were waiting for us; they treated us to fresh fruit lemonade. We also ordered a taxi back. 2. The beach. Moragala is a 3-minute walk away. Bentota Beach could only be reached by tuk-tuk and we asked Luke to take us away and pick up what he did for free. When he couldn’t, he organized a tuk-tuk and negotiated the cost himself with the driver. For example, the cost from the beach to the villa was about 200 rupees. And if you order yourself, it would cost 350-400 rupees. 3. Shopping. Since it is far away on foot and walking along the road is not very convenient, when you had to go to the store to buy water or fruit, Luke always delivered us either on the way from the beach or in the evening, depending on his free time. 4. Excursions. As part of the entertainment program, a list of possible excursions to which he can take was offered. Again, when he was free, he drove away when there was no time, then he asked acquaintances who drove for little money, compared to catching a tuktuk himself. All drivers simply "drove, waited" and did not offer additional excursions, unlike sellers who immediately noticed a tourist running up. 4. Room and House. The house itself is new and well-groomed, many flowers. The room was clean, new furniture, linen and plumbing, a good large bed and mattress, mosquito net. Close to the hotel interior. Room cleaning, linen change was every 5 days. 5. Nutrition. Maureen cooks superbly! It is very tasty and tries to use only fresh and healthy products. All appliances and utensils are clean. Breakfast As it turned out, this was a huge plus. Each breakfast was “royal” and began with a glass of freshly squeezed juice / lemonade and ended with a plate of fresh fruit. It was super satisfying and something was left for an afternoon snack. Lunches: as few tourists, many cafes stand idle, however, I wanted to eat something fresh and not be afraid of poisoning. There is a kitchen, but it was mainly cooked by Chinese neighbors. Also, the question arose of buying products, because in supermarkets the assortment is already, other products, much is sold in roadside shops and shops. I did not want to spend a lot of time cooking. We decided to try to order dinner from the owners. Lunches were not inferior to breakfasts. Salad, the first, second choice, dessert and fresh tea conquered us. As a result, all 10 days had dinner with them. Every day, time and dishes were discussed what would be desirable: local cuisine or more European, spicy / not spicy, fish / seafood / chicken. Every day everything was super tasty and fresh. The husband is allergic and I was pregnant delighted, never hurt anything and everything was digested. As a result, they did breakfast, lunch and tea for an afternoon snack. At the end of the holiday we were given a receipt for all the dinners, tea and fruit that were ordered at our request. 6. On the last day, Maureen gave us local pastries as a gift, which we almost ate in 2 days. In general, the villa and the rest were satisfied. Luke and Maureen are really reliable people who were always ready to help. They value their reputation very much and many return to them! I would like to wish them good luck !!”

“You cant imagine what kind of person Himesh is until you meet him. We came as strangers and left as family. He will show you everything and you don’t even need to ask. On the pictures, you only see the caves, but there are two more rooms and they are just stunning. If you want to stay in a calm place with complete privacy, don’t go there. We cook together, eat together and just hang out like friends do. He‘s a bit crazy, but he‘s got a heart of gold. Inexplicable.”
