The cottage has a private and safe south facing fully enclosed garden with BBQ and outdoor garden furniture. Hartington itself is a popular pretty village boasting some 3 pubs 3 cafes, post office , Deli Stores and News agents and of course our very own famous Cheese shop not to missed Walking and cycling can be done from the front door

It is situated 3/4 mile from the pretty village of Alstonefield and 5 1/2 miles north of the bustling market town of Ashbourne. The cottage overlooks a tranquil stretch of river running through Wolfscote Dale and a historic former water mill. A riverside footpath passes the bottom of the garden leading north along the river to Hartington and south to Dovedale and the Stepping Stones.

The sweet interiors make you feel at home right away and with comfy sofa’s to lounge on it is the perfect place to relax after a day enjoying the breath-taking Peak District. The main bedroom has a king bed and the second room can either be super-king or twin, you decide. We also have a travel cot and high chair available upon request.
