Cabin holiday rentals in Alpena

Excellent stay at this Airbnb. If you are thinking of coming to St Helen to ride the ORV trails, this is an excellent choice! It’s right down the street from St Helen Motorsports, two gas stations, 3 restaurants, 2 pizza shops and multiple trail head entrances within 2 miles or less!!! The house looks exactly like the pictures and description, and the hot tub, outdoor fire pit, and indoor fireplace were amazing! I will note….it is a bit on the small side. Beds are as described, but feet hang off the bed and rooms are small. 4 grown adults was pushing it here, especially with one bathroom. Also note. There is BARELY enough room for a small truck and trailer to park in front. The other truck had to park underneath the large garage due to no park space. Other than that, which is really just an explanation, it is the ultimate st Helen stop!

My husband spent two nights at this wonderful cabin and so enjoyed our time there! We ate at the boat house for lunch one day and walked the Wolf Creek Trailhead another, but other than that we enjoyed being at the cabin! The backyard was incredibly serene! We read and talked for hours around the bonfire until dark and then hit the hot tub both nights! What a wonderful space to get away and reconnect as a couple! I would absolutely suggest it as a couples get away! ❤️

Lovely property with an amazing and cute little cabin. Very private, we walked the woods and had bonfires. The hot tub was great! We would definitely come back!

This awesome place was near everything! We walked to the beach and explored the beautiful pier the first night we were there. On the second day we walked to town and did a little shopping and lunch. Later that afternoon we enjoyed biking on the local trails and even stopped for a snack at the Hilltop restaurant. I highly recommend this place!

The cabin is absolutely stunning—beautifully designed, packed with thoughtful amenities, and offering breathtaking views. The only downside is that the lake isn't suitable for swimming

This place was pristine. Usually spots right next to the water smell at least a little bit like mildew, but not this one! We saw no signs of insect or critter intrusion either. The place could use some shades, or ventilation in the bathroom, but overall it was spotless and peaceful. Oscoda is tiny but this is a short drive to Tawas City where there’s lots to do. The private beach entrance was right across the street and easy to access. The sauna was closed for maintenance, but Aaron was upfront about this and the pool and hot tub were still open. Overall we had a great experience here!

Are the places quaint the beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. Kelly is nice kind responsive and a great host. Thank you so much Kelly for making my time my stay everything else I was looking for

We stayed here almost a year ago and loved it so much we came back this year. There have been some great minor improvements since our last visit. The cabin is super secluded - a perfect place to unplug, relax, and recharge. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get away from it all!

Nice spot, perfect for our needs - fishing the au sable river nearby. Good beds and furniture. Kitchen was spartan but totally adequate. Out in the woods, whitetail deer wandering on property. Beautiful pine forest. Very secluded but easy to find.

Pros- Stunning views from the living area to the lake. Plenty of sandy beach front with all the rocks you would ever want in the water. Impressively clean and beds were made like you were at a 5 star resort. Kim has raised the bar for being a host with Airbnb!! Kim is a 5 star host and thought of everything to make our stay like it was our home. Cons- I don’t have anything negative to say regarding the host, the cabin, the cleanliness, and the location. Kim mentioned this is not baby or child proof; the only concern I would have if I brought little ones would be the outside. There are steep steps down to the beach. Every house in this area has just as many steps down from the house to the beach. Plenty of beach area once you are there, just keep in mind if you pick up rocks, you will have to carry those up the steps.

Visited St Helen, MI to ride trails with ATV. Trails are great, never ending, lots of friendly other riders, plenty to eat. Woodys Hot Dog stand is amazing!

Brandi's place was wonderful! It was very comfortable and so clean. It has everything you need for your stay. We really enjoyed the covered outdoor area - great place to have a cup of tea/coffee in the AM, or any time of day! The garage parking was also a wonderful plus!

I recently stayed at this cabin and had an amazing experience. The location was peaceful and surrounded by nature—exactly what I needed to unwind. The cabin was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen supplies to extra blankets. The views were beautiful, especially during sunrise and sunset. The host was incredibly responsive and made check-in a breeze. Whether you’re looking for a romantic escape, a solo retreat, or a family getaway, I highly recommend this place. I’m already planning my next stay!

Kayla was very responsive and super friendly. She even agreed to open the cabin up and start her season early for me when I explained my situation. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable, and the location was private and quiet. I was very happy with my stay.

We arrived late on a snowy Friday evening, to a beautifully furnished and cozy cabin. The wood was readily available to stoke up a warm fire in the wood burning stove. The next day we awoke to a beautiful snow-covered view from the large windows. The kitchen had everything we needed, including new cookware and sparkling clean appliances. We were pleasantly surprised to find both a Ninja coffee bar and a Keurig coffee maker for us to use. The driveway was plowed well and clear instructions were welcoming our arrival. We felt very comfortable and "at home" at this cottage. The owners are kind and available. My 13 y/o son even enjoyed the robe that was supplied. This was such a cozy winter getaway, we would love to stay in the summer for a completely different getaway.

The cottage was very comfortable and had everything you needed. Peaceful and private surroundings with beautiful views. Great location and lots to see and do in the surrounding area. Excellent communication and Ashel was extremely kind and willing to be flexible when we thought we might need to cancel.

Wow! What can I say about this place? If I was going to build my own lake get-away, it would be exactly like this. So quaint and cozy. They perfect spot to get away. We were here for a wedding in Alpena and decided to try Hubbard Lake because I had heard so much about it. Being from Chicago, this was the perfect place to relax and unwind in between the festivities. My favorite was definitely sitting on the porch in the morning drinking my coffee, listening to the birds and watching the squirrels and chipmunks. So peaceful and quiet. Robin was the perfect hostess, she has the place decorated so cute, and anything you could need is there. She had a list of restaurants nearby, but we enjoyed the cottage so much, we didn't want to go out. We needed an iron for one of the shirts for the wedding, (we forgot) and texted Robin and we had one right away. How responsive was that? I would recommend this place over and over again, and hope to come back to visit soon.
