Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Almyrida

Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage bei Kiriaki und Michalis. So nett und überaus freundlich sind wir noch nie empfangen und verabschiedet worden, außergewöhnlich und herzerwärmend. Michalis hat uns selbstgefangene Oktopus frittiert: super lecker 😋, danke. Kyriaki und Michalis waren sehr hilfsbereit und hatten jede Menge Tipps auf Lager für schöne Badestrände oder andere schöne Dinge, die man in der Gegend unternehmen kann. Haus und Hof waren sehr sauber und 1A vorbereitet. Im Innenhof vor dem Haus findet man Ruhe auf zwei Sonnenliegen. Toll waren auch die Zwischenreinigungen mit Handtuchwechsel. Danke auch dafür und die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten zwischendurch. Im Dorf selbst kann man abends in 3 Restaurants die kretische Küche kennenlernen. Auch Lebenmittel sind vor Ort erhältlich. Auf dem Dorfplatz findet man immer einen Parkplatz. Und zum Strand in Almeryda rollert man 4 km den Berg herab, Sonne und Badevergnügen sind gesichert. Wir fliegen sehr gut erholt nach Hause!!

Stayed two weeks in Lemon Tree House, partly working remotely, and loved it. Anthoula is a wonderful host, the house is in a perfect location: quiet, a couple of minutes from the seafront and restaurants with pretty, flower-filled front and back gardens. Kitchen is well-equipped, friendly welcome pack and twice weekly change of linen and towels. It is very good value for money - I can't wait to go back next year! The village has a great beach and plenty of choice of bars and tavernas and an easy bus ride into Chania if you don't have a car.

Traumhafte Anlage zwischen zwei malerischen Dörfern. Wir haben vor allem die Ruhe, den wunderschönen Garten und den Pool mit Ausblick genossen. In den Dörfern gibt es gute Restaurants, Cafés und Supermärkte. Man braucht allerdings ein Auto, die Unterkunft ist über eine Schotterpiste erreichbar. Unterhalb der Anlage findet sich direkt ein Wanderweg und die Lage ist perfekt, um den Westen der Insel zu erkunden. Die Unterkunft ist nach den Anweisungen des Gastgebers problemlos zu finden, der Self-Check-in hat reibungslos funktioniert. Das Studio ist zweckmäßig ausgestattet, ein fester Herd anstatt zwei mobile Herdplatten und Eierbecher wären schön gewesen. Die Matratzen waren etwas hart für unseren Geschmack und das Wasser war nicht immer heiß genug zum Duschen. Aber das sind nur Kleinigkeiten, die unseren Aufenthalt in keinster Weise beeinträchtigt haben. Sollten wir wieder nach Kreta reisen, würden wir immer wieder in dieser tollen Unterkunft unseren Urlaub verbringen. Vielen Dank!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Die Lage ist ruhig und bietet einen tollen Blick aufs Meer – perfekt, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Vermieter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben den Aufenthalt angenehm gestaltet. Alles in allem ein schönes Haus für einen entspannten Urlaub am Strand.

Four of us, two couples, spent a very enjoyable week at Roula's stone cottage. A special and stunning location and suspect a rare opportunity to spend time in a traditional style house in a rural cretan mountain village. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. May be better suited to a family stay as the downstairs room has no separate access to bathroom. We enjoyed the peaceful location immensely- great to getup and have breakfast outside with the fresh air and distant sound of goat bells. We travelled to Chania or the beaches along the coast every day and certainly didn't find the village too remote to do so. Nearby Tavernas and gorge walk are a must. Roula, along with her mother, were always quick, helpful and generous when questions were asked and supplied us with eggs and oranges and some home cooked food. Surely one of the best hosts I've experienced on airbnb. Would gladly return.

Everything about this place is perfect. It is clean and very comfortable. I have a hard time with stairs so the futon sleeper and downstairs bathroom were very convenient. It is a very short walk to everything you might want to do, including getting the bus to Chania. I look forward to booking here again.

A Slice of Heaven in Crete. Our stay in this beautifully designed home was nothing short of magical. Surrounded by peaceful olive groves and bathed in Cretan sunshine, every moment felt serene and special. The sweet little pool was the perfect place to unwind, and the home itself was as stunning as it was comfortable. The hosts were warm, thoughtful, and made us feel truly welcome. We left feeling rested, grateful, and already planning our return.

Maria is a fantastic host. She met my husband and me at the bus stop and showed us around the apartment and neighborhood, giving us recommendations for dining and things to do. Her apartment is located in the heart of Old Town just steps away from the waterfront, great restaurants (we especially loved Tamam), and shopping. She stocked the apartment with everything we'd need for our visit, including beach towels, breakfast items, candy, guidebooks, and more. The apartment itself is cozy and comfortable in a charming building. Despite a decent amount of foot traffic nearby, it was quiet at night. We had the best sleep of our 10-day trip to Greece during our three-night stay. I can't recommend Maria's place enough for a visit to Chania!

A brilliant stay in a beautiful apartment. The views were outstanding out over the ocean. Apartment immaculate and had everything we could possibly need. Perfect location for visiting Chania, Lake Kournas etc..Two observations for future visitors - highly recommend having a car whilst staying, we did and wouldn’t have wanted to be there without (it’s on a very steep hill!). Also, we visited in April. The pool is not heated and was too cold us to swim which was a shame and not something I clocked when booking. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!

We hebben echt een heel fijn verblijf gehad. Régine en de vrijwilliger die aanwezig was, waren ontzettend aardig. Soms maakten ze even een praatje, maar ze lieten ons ook ons ding doen. Het appartement, het zwembad en de grond eromheen zijn echt geweldig. Wij hadden alleen niet verwacht dat het verblijf zo afgelegen zou liggen. (Hadden we zelf even beter uit moeten zoeken). Het is dus wel een aanrader om een auto tot je beschikking te hebben. Al met al was het helemaal top en zouden wij iedereen aanraden om hier een keertje te verblijven (en de lieve kat die aanwezig was ook een knuffel te geven).

Thrasyvoulos’s was a very responsive, proactive and helpful host. The apartment was in an amazing location with great restaurants nearby. Would recommend!

My husband and I have only stayed 4 nights at Nikos' Kafenion, but it was a real pleasure. The place is an architectural gem, in an old, charming traditional house, and we were delighted to blend with the local community, even for a few days. We had dinners at a taverna in the village, among locals, kids, cats and dogs, and went for an evening coffee at the coffee place in the vicinity, too. It was our greatest pleasure to enjoy our breakfasts on the terrace, and to spend late evenings there, too. It is a quiet place in a nice village, and that was all that we needed for our vacation. Nikos has a well deserved reputation. He was friendly, helpful, attentive, answered to all our questions, and gave us valuable suggestions, every time. We've rented one of his cars and went to different beaches in the area, and to Kournas Lake. We would love to return to Crete and stay again at Nikos, and we definitely appreciate his hospitality and generosity. Efcharisto poli!

Appartement bien situé à quelques pas du centre d'une petite station balnéaire calme avec de nombreux bars et restaurants. Logement en rez-de-chaussée qui reste frais et ne nécessite pas de climatisation, ce qui est très agréable. Accès direct à une terrasse couverte au bord du jardin pour des repas extérieurs. Eva et George sont des hôtes très agréable, sachant rester discrets bien que habitant à l'étage supérieur, disponible en cas se problème et prodiguant de bon conseils.

Great location, very short walk to the port, beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The host was extremely responsive and always willing to help make our stay comfortable! Apartment was very clean and the jacuzzi is a great feature. Multiple cafe’s/bars just downstairs with great food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend staying at this property if you want to be close to the venetian port and all Chania has to offer.

Maryellen communicated really well before and during the stay. The house is a fantastic location but you need a car or taxi to get to local restaurants and into Chania. Maryellen even booked the taxi for us to Chania. The house is fully equipped with everything. The views are amazing over looking the sea. The outside space is great with magical pool. It’s on a hill so probably not suitable for people who find it difficult with stairs and because the pool is an infinity pool you would need to be careful of children in the pool. The house is private and in a quiet location. We will be going back, one of the best Airbnb we have been to.

Rauhallinen alue, remontoidut puhtaat huoneet. Meillä oli oranssi huone, joka sijaitsee kellarissa pienillä ikkunoilla kadulle. Huone ei lämmennyt helteillä joka oli mahtavaa! Majoituimme 8 yötä, huoneessa oli saippuat ja shampoot valmiina. Sekä pientä naposteltavaa. Tämä oli ihana yllätys 🙏Rakennuksessa oli pyykkitupa, jossa pystyi pesemään vaatteita. Tämä oli mahtavaa koska me reissattiin vain repuilla. Omistaja oli ystävällinen ja avulias. Iso suositus!! 10/10

Fantastic place. Great views from the sun terrace overlooking the bay, so could sit and watch boats and cruise ships on their way to Chania. Only 5 mins walk down a gentle hill to the beach, shops & restaurants. Felt very private, although there were other apartments there, it is laid out so you are not overlooked. Everything was spotlessly clean on arrival and apartment staff were there every day keeping the pool and surrounding areas clean & tidy. Gas BBQ on the terrace was great. Good choice of restaurants along the beach, as well as a few small supermarkets in the centre. 40 mins drive from the airport and well positioned for visiting Chania (which was beautiful) and exploring the area. We had a thoroughly relaxing stay and have already recommended it to friends, and would definitely stay again. Kreta Eiendom's team were very responsive, when we had a small issue during our stay.

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

Μείναμε πολύ ικανοποιημένοι από τη διαμονή μας. Ο Γιώργος ήταν πολύ άμεσος στην επικοινωνία και εξυπηρετικός. Το σπίτι είναι φωτεινό, ευάερο κοντά σε κεντρικά σημεία της πόλης και τη θάλασσα. Δεν αποτελεί χαρακτηριστικό παράδειγμα των περισσότερων bnb με σύγχρονες προδιαγραφές (πχ παλιές οικοσυσκευές, έπιπλα) και ανάλογη διακόσμηση αλλά αυτό το κάνει ζεστό και φιλικό. Το μόνο αρνητικό ήταν τα κάπως δύσχρηστα παράθυρα/μπαλκονόπορτες. Βρήκαμε μέσα ό,τι χρειαστήκαμε. Θα το προτείναμε.

The place was very clean, which is of most importance to me. The host sent clear instructions ahead of time making it very easy to access the studio. The place was slightly smaller than I expected, but that was not a big issue since it was only for my husband and me. I would definitely recommend the place.

Unser Aufenthalt in Chania war wunderbar. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und die Aussenbereiche wunderschön. Ioanna war sehr gut erreichbar und freundlich.

This Airbnb is just like the photos and worth the distance from Old Town (about 0.4 miles). The terrace wraps around the entire flat and has many seating options in sunshine and in shade. It’s surrounded by beautiful, well-cared for plants with a stunning view of the Sea of Crete and of Chania itself. You can take the stairs or there is an elevator. The hostess left some local treats for us as well as a lovely bouquet of flowers! Absolutely top notch! There is also air conditioning if the fresh air is too warm. The hostess was friendly and responsive. This was the best of 4 Airbnb’s we stayed in throughout Europe. The only thing to note is that the electricity is only on when the card is in the holder by the door. So, if you leave with the dryer or dishwasher running or charging devices, they will pause until you return.

From the start, Sia and her husband were very warm and welcoming. At check-in, they walked us through the apartment, which looked exactly like the photos. The view is fantastic from the front balcony. Everything was very clean. Loved that there were electronic blinds for most windows. We rented a car and there was a parking spot available for us in Sia's garage. We did find the bed a bit too hard for our tastes (to each their own!), and we sometimes had trouble with the wifi dropping in the main bedroom. Overall, we loved Sia's place and would stay there again!
