Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Allerthorpe

We had a wonderful peaceful stay. Cottage was exactly as described, very cosy and comfortable. Beautiful surroundings with the gardens clearly well cared for and the walk around the lake a real bonus. Will definitely consider staying again.

The place was clean and well cared for. It was easy to find, and the check-in instructions were clear and straightforward. The host was very responsive and made the whole process smooth. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at Alisha’s place for a local wedding and it was the perfect base for us. Lots of room for four of us to get ready and cosy and clean to come back to. Alisha was great at communicating if we had any questions.

Great few days in this lovely little cottage . Within walking distance of our favourite restaurant (a bit in the dear side but great food ) we walked to the beach around a mile or so from the cottage. John was always quick to respond to any messages via air B&B and also let us know we could get in a little earlier than originally stated. Slight down side can be a little noisy from the road through the village but to be expected due to its position. It didn’t really give us any issues. Full of modern appliances and a modern kitchen. We will definitely be back.

A tranquil and homely retreat away from the hustle and bustle, with wonderful hosts and a special guest appearance each morning from Penny the gorgeous dog! A great spot to stay for a weekend away, and Judith is a lovely host.

This was our second visit to Alex's delightful cottage. It's located perfectly for access to the North Yorkshire Moors, the Howardian Hills and Hemlsley town centre is only five minutes walk away. The cottage itself is a delightful place to stay and from our personal experience Alex is the perfect host.

Wow, what a great place Olivia has. It's so central, has parking, huge living space and everything you need for a getaway in a gorgeous town. The house was cosy but also had loads of space, the beds were comfy and everything was clean. There's plenty of stuff for young ones too, including high chair, travel cot and cutlery etc. Couldn't have wished for a better stay.

Anna's farmhouse apartment was just as it was described and looked on the photos. Clean, tidy, plenty big enough for our family of 4. It had everything we needed for our short break in York. Perfect out of town location with off road parking included so we could leave the car there and journey into and out of York each day using the park and ride bus number 59 only 15 min each way, so easy! Comfortable beds, with crisp clean linen for a restful sleep at the end of each day. Would recommend to anyone visiting York.

Fantastic flat in a great location within easy walking distance of Peasholm Park and North Bay. Lots of great touches in this comfortable apartment and plenty of room for 2 x families of 4. Plenty of parking on the doorstep, just use the discs provided. Mark was a great host and so easy to contact. We'll definitely look to use again.

stayed for one night in the apartment for my friends birthday. it's literally across the road from the town centre, which is brilliant. The apartment is completely silent, didn't hear a peep from anything around us which when you're having a child free weekend was great! lovely and warm. the bed was really comfy too! Easy to find and gain access. I had been sent extremely clear instructions from start to finish of our stay! Id 100% stay again, lovely little apartment!

Our stay was perfect. The location is amazing, right in the heart of York and a short walk to York Minster, which we did every day to “check on her”! Eating places and pubs all close by and in the same street too. Just a wonderful experience in this beautiful medieval city. Highly recommend. And on a clear day you can see York Minster through the roof windows which was delightful.

Lovely apartment; exactly as pictured and described. Nice location. Hidden from main streets but very convenient to beaches and other areas. Perfect for a weekend getaway

check in was smooth and easy. The only thing I would’ve liked was a washing machine, but everything else was perfect. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others visiting York!

This place is such a lovely place!! We could not have asked for anything better we wished we had stayed longer! The 3 beds where all very comfortable and there as plenty of space for 6 adults!! Honestly 10/10 air bnb

The apartment is a great location in the centre of town Very easy to access from the station and easy to get parked in town It is well equipped and clean and ideal for a few days without the need for a car. The bed is really comfortable and it was wonderful to have the light coming in the kitchen on the morning. Great food and entertainment options around about and a lovely town’ The place has been very carefully and imaginatively decorated and has lots of nice little touches. We would love to return

Location was perfect for what we wanted. But the icing on the cake was the sunshine. We had 2 children with us under 7 so the well stocked playroom was a real bonus!

My family and I (7 adults & 1 child) recently stayed at ‘The Cottage’ and we all agreed that it was a wonderful holiday. The house is beautiful, very spacious, spotlessly clean and was well equipped for all of our needs. The hub is definitely the kitchen, we enjoyed playing family board games around the dining table. The gardens are amazing we loved watching wild rabbits, squirrels and cows everyday. It was nice to see home grown vegetables and a herb garden too. Our grandson enjoyed playing football with his dad in the garden, jumping on the trampoline and feeding the fish. It is ideally located for travelling into York and not far from the designer outlet. Our group ranged in age from 2yrs to 78yrs and there was something for everyone to do at the house. We all really needed a family break due to recent illness and enjoyed spending time together making lovely memories. We hope to be able to stay again and thank both Neil and Adrienne for sharing their beautiful home with us.

We had an unforgettable and special stay at this beautiful house. The sunny woodland walks among the snowdrops and around the lake were a delight, and we spotted all sorts of wildlife. Our dogs had a great time running and playing in the open field, and the small children (and big kids) in our party absolutely loved the play area, tennis court, and swimming pool… but the highlight of their stay was the hot tub! Meeting our host, Robert (and his little one), was lovely too. The house had everything we needed to enjoy some quality time together in this lovely historic setting — it’s a rare gem. Thank you once again for an unforgettable experience! The little ones are already asking when we can return to the big house — we hope to come again soon!
