Beachfront holiday rental in Allerdale District

Fantastic stay at the sea cubby! A perfect place to recharge and relax, with amazing views, wildlife and lovely accommodation. It was a perfect size for us. Additionally, the cubby has been kitted out with helpful items that you need whilst away - tea, coffee, lovely linen and plenty of great local recommendations which we tried out. The place was super cosy as well considering the coastal location. Would love to come back.

Lovely stay at Powfoot over Christmas. Carolyn had very kindly put up lights and a Christmas tree for us which was extra special - thank you. Excellent instructions and detailed information about the house and the surrounding area. Also to highlight to take care on the mud flats when the tide is coming in. We enjoyed visits to Mabie Forest, Drumlanrig and Caerlaverock castles all recommended even on an atmospheric (wet!) December day!

a gem of a place, the location was ideal for beach walks and exploring the lakes. utility room is perfect for sorting wet clothes and wetsuits post wild swimming. Cosy, comfortable and perfect for a group of 8 (4 adult and 4 children).

We had a lovely peaceful stay at Drumelg. We found the house very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The enclosed garden is perfect for both dogs and humans. We had great weather for our stay and spent a lot of time walking on the beach or just sitting in the garden looking over the links to the hills beyond. We will definitely book again, Drumelg and Southerness is a perfect spot for my dad and I and our dogs.

We had a wonderful stay at Linda and Paul’s immaculate bungalow in Southerness. The location is stunning, with uninterrupted views of the Solway Firth and direct access to the beach — far better than the static caravans further along the shore. The home was spotlessly clean, cosy, and very well-equipped. Linda and Paul were exceptional hosts — they quickly resolved a small issue with the bathroom lock on check-in day, and Linda welcomed us with delicious fruit tarts. Paul was a delight to chat with and full of great stories, about his childhood at Bolton. The garden is secure and perfect for dogs. This is a peaceful, well-located gem that offers much more comfort and character than nearby alternatives. Book without hesitation — we’ll definitely be back!

Lovely, spotless, brand new caravan. Steps from the water (beach and nature preserve) and 30 minutes into the Lake District make it a wonderful place to stay and explore Cumbria. The cabin was simply but tastefully decorated and comfortable for a family of four and our furry friend. It has all you need for a comfortable break, there are washer/dryer machines at the site and they worked great. We didn't try the local restaurant but heard good things. We had a wonderful time despite the darker evenings and cool days, we felt very cozy and comfortable after our days exploring. We were able to get most of what we needed in Millom (a mile away) and cooked most nights. The area has lots to do within an hours drive, you really are spoiled for choice. The cabin's wifi is spotty to stay the least but we were happy to "unplug" for a few days.

We found this house by Amanda on Airbnb at St. Beach, and it truly made our vacation this year unforgettable. It's definitely much better than the pictures and description suggest. A peaceful, small, and clean house, just a two-minute walk from the beach, with lush green hills and a restaurant for breakfast right in front. Just an hour's drive to many other Lake District towns. This is an ideal place to refresh your spirit. I would love to come back here again and would highly recommend it to others. Thank you so much, Amanda; I highly recommend your house!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Hosts were super friendly and responsive. I even asked if we could check in earlier to leave bags and they let us do this. The lodge has everything you could need and we found this to be the best lodge, location wise, on the park. The steps lead right down to the lake. We took our kayak and went out several times. The huge balcony which is fully furnished was great to watch the sunset of an evening with a glass of wine! Dog are allowed too which was a huge bonus. The We wouldn’t hesitate to book again! It was a great way to celebrate my birthday! Thanks again

We had a lovely break this Easter bank holiday. The communication was excellent. The caravan was well equipped, clean and well located to haven’s amenities. Children enjoyed the board games. Weather was warm enough to sit out briefly on last day. Outdoor furniture made this a pleasant experience. As a family we’d happily return to explore the area further.

We had a fantastic stay at Sean’s and Kelly’s place . The place was immaculate and beautifully decorated. . Communication was seamless; Sean and Kelly were always prompt and helpful. We truly appreciated the thoughtful amenities, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Spotless, beautifully decorated, smelt so clean and fresh on arrival. Lovely touches like toiletries, tea, coffee, hand wash etc. like a hotel but in a caravan. Beautiful surroundings. Had a BBQ on the beach. Tried the entertainment, arcade, restaurant and all very good. We, as a family of 4, had the very best time. Would highly recommend, Matt was on the end of the phone and everything was made super easy. Will definitely be returning and would suggest to anyone that this is absolutely perfect for a family holiday that you can do as much or as little as you want and matt’s caravan ticked every box. Cannot recommend highly enough. Loved it. Thank you

We were lucky enough to have the weather to watch two amazing sunsets from the decking of the chalet. Gary’s directions were straightforward so it’s really easy to find the property. The chalet is cosy, clean and warm. The location is excellent and the steps down to the beach are right next to the chalet. Gary was really attentive and the marshmallows that he left for us to roast along with the bottle of Prosecco to celebrate my partner’s birthday were a very welcome touch.

I cannot recommend Gillian’s beautiful home highly enough, my partner and I booked it as a very last minute trip for new year with our two kids and it was just brilliant. Even in the typical Scottish weather the views were lovely and when the sun was shining it was stunning. The home has everything in it that you could possibly need and is so cosy and beautifully decorated. The beds were so comfortable and there was plenty of storage. The kitchen was really well equipped and was spacious enough to cook as well as being a social area. We decided to book again as soon as we’d arrived! Thank you Gillian x

Seasalt cottage is a very characterful, peaceful place with a sea view from the bedroom. It’s a perfect space for a couple. The host left little extras and messages to start off our stay and we felt very welcomed and looked after. It was a great location for visiting the Lake District and enjoying coastal walks. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a little serenity at an affordable cost!

A beautiful location with endless views of the estuary and surroundings - quiet and tranquil, with some buzz in the late afternoon to evening. Lovely home, and very clean and comfortable. Will definetely be back again in the near future. Gemma is very accommodating and helped us with flexible check in and additional days, which was great.

We stayed for a long weekend in March and loved staying here. House is excellent and in a beautiful location. Plenty of room for us all to stretch out and relax, loved the reading nooks. Heating was spot on.

We spent a family Easter in this lovely house. Great spot, comfortable for a family with young children, beautiful area with lots to do nearby. The house is well appointed and cosy. It’s quiet and has a lovely garden with birdfeeder and lots of chairs in sunny spots. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at Spindrift, the scenery is truly stunning. As a host Wilma goes above and beyond, the cottage was very well stocked with everything you could want. The thoughtful extras were much appreciated. We will definitely return.
