Holiday rentals with a patio in Akumal

The apartment has a beautiful view over Half Moon Bay. There are restaurants within walking distance. A large grocery store requires a car, but the kitchen is very well stocked. It is an easy 20 minute walk to the town. The stars from the balcony are amazing!

Increible lugar, en la baia de akumal pude nadar con mi pequeña hija con tortugas desde bebes, medianas y hasta enormes, la vista muy bonita, dia o tarde, y de noche el cielo estrellado, lo disfrutamos mucho, solo hay que llegar con todo lo necesario o llevar carro para comprar ya que no hay tiendas cercanas. Muy recomendable para una familia tranquila.

Staying at this Airbnb was the right decision. The place is incredibly beautiful, as i have never seen such a uniquely built compound. The hosts are the best when it comes to communication, since they always replied less than half an hour from any message i sent them. I would absolutely recommend staying here. Just take into account that the road to the compound is very bad and bumpy and that there are a lot of bugs outdoors since you are in the jungle.

We absolutely loved our stay at Fanny’s penthouse in Tulum. It was a peaceful, private retreat and a highlight of our trip. The top-floor unit is beautifully designed, stylish, and totally private—it’s the only unit on that level. The rooftop plunge pool and patio were perfect for relaxing, with lovely views. The bed was very comfortable, AC worked great, and the blackout shades let us sleep in. The open-air shower with sunlight and plants felt magical. La Veleta is a charming part of town with great restaurants nearby, though many roads are still unpaved—just something to be aware of. The unit is walk-up only, so expect stairs, but it’s worth it for the privacy and rooftop access. Fanny and Lucas (the concierge) were super responsive and helpful. Honestly, we wish we had stayed here longer and cut a night from our beach stay—it was that good. We’d absolutely love to return in the future. Highly recommend for a quiet, stylish Tulum experience.

It was a really wonderful time to spend in this isolated place. Finding the apartment was a bit confusing as the neighborhood is under construction. But the host came out right away to greet us with a warm welcome. Home has everything you need and the ac worked great. The private rooftop was stunning and the sounds of birds was a wonderful experience to wake up to. Having a rental car was ideal for this location. No grocery stores near by so be prepared to get your groceries before you arrive. Smaller Mexican markets are jut 5 min away but have limited selection. I would stay again100% recommend if you are looking for a calm location with very comfortable prices and home. Thank you Max and Sam! 4 days was not enough!

La casa es mejor que en las fotos aún! es super agradable y me encanta que es super tranquila la zona. Eso si, el club de playa es muy pequeño, y el acceso a la playa dentro del club es Mini! no nos quedamos a disfrutar de la playa ahí mismo porque no era nada cómodo. la casa vale totalmente la pena y el moverte al centro o playas cercano es supee rápido

Erik’s house was very spacious just as described! Erik was very attentive and always responded right away! My children enjoyed the pool during our stay! No problems during our stay!

We had a magical week at Adolfo’s place with our family of 5 adults and 2 kids. The location is spectacular and the kids loved being able to play on the beach and jump in the pool. Early risers will love the sunrise view from the beach. The location itself is an amazing jumping off point to enjoy Akumal (great taco spots in town!), Tulum, and local cenotes and eco parks. We were a bit anxious about not having AC in the main living area but the breeze was beautiful and it allowed us to really embrace indoor/outdoor living. The caretaking staff are wonderful and very helpful - they helped us arrange for massages at the house and kept the property meticulously clean. We also took advantage of Chef Carlos’s services and are so happy we did. The house itself is very comfortable. Showing its age in places but we appreciated it being un-fussy - especially with young kids. The kitchen is well-appointed with dishes but you’ll need to bring your own basic cooking supplies.

The very best Airb&b experience to date! Tanya greeted me to a extremely clean place, we'll thought out, safe and private place. I loved the authentic Spanish kitchen and modest bathroom. And how thoughtful of her to provide everything you need to nourish yourself upon arrival and longer. The place is located within walking distance of Super Aki and other stores.Super Aki is a frequent meeting spot for many excursions. I would definitely recommend this spot.

This Airbnb was truly the prettiest place I’ve ever stayed. Everything about it was beautiful, new, and so thoughtfully designed. It felt like a total standout, unique, stylish, and exceptionally well-appointed down to the last detail. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with fresh fruit and a sparkling clean space. The location in La Veleta was perfect. It’s a super cool neighborhood that’s very relaxed and full of charm. We loved being so close to tons of small cafes, and restaurants, everything we needed was within a short walk or quick scooter ride (and yes, rent the scooters!). We used the pool daily and just generally felt like we were living in our own little oasis. Daily cleaning service and 24/7 security added a real sense of comfort and luxury. Oscar was an amazing host- super responsive, helpful, and kind. He made sure we had everything we needed and gave us great recommendations throughout our trip. This place is an absolute gem and beyond unique.

I absolutely loved the Airbnb and the hosts! I would definitely rebook every time I visit Tulum. The water pressure was a bit low and slightly salty, but I understand that’s expected when staying in a jungle environment. The hosts were super attentive, especially when it came to helping with transportation, reservations, and recommendations. The maintenance team was also amazing—quick, friendly, and efficient. Highly recommend!

Definitivamente el mejor lugar que puedas encontrar en Playa del Carmen, el departamento se sentía como estar en casa, no le hace faltama absolutamente nada, tiene todo, su departamento y las instalaciones de lujo, las amenidades grandiosas, Olivia fue muy atenta y muy amable, caminar a la 5ta avenida era un grandioso paseo, son como 12 minutos, definitivamente regresare! el mejor lugar de Playacar está aquí!

Notre séjour à Akumal est mémorable. Ici on se sent vraiment à la maison. L’emplacement est parfait et directement sur la plage et près de tout pour un séjour confortable, tranquille et simple. Les hôtes sont TRÈS soutenants et accommodants. Ils répondent toujours vites à toutes nos questions sur la vie locale. Ils nous ont permis de laissé notre voiture une nuit gratuitement dans le stationnement alors que nous sommes partis en expédition.

Amazing apartment with a private + rooftop pool!! I enjoyed getting up every morning and being surrounded by nature

I was staying there with my little Shih Tzu and we had a great two night stay! Walking distance to one of the best taco places of Tulum, and an amazing terrace overlooking the street which is honestly super spacy! Since it had a small desk, I was able to get some work done as well, everything is super functional and I would be happy to stay again! Host is great in communication, super accommodating.

Rene's place was great! The location was easy to find and felt very safe with friendly front desk staff. The AC worked great and the space was clean and comfortable. The pools and common areas of the property were fun to have access to and were never crowded. The building is walking distance to many restaurants and shops. There was a bike and scooter rental business less than a block away, as well as many convenience stores and a bank if you need access to an ATM with low fees. Rene was an excellent communicator, providing clear entry instructions and responding almost immediately when I had a few questions. All around a wonderful stay!

Erica was a wonderful host and the place was quite delightful. Very cozy and I would stay there again
