“We loved our 5 night stay at Antonina's! The house is beautiful, new, and sparkling clean. The best part, however, is that it is located in the Bahia Principe resort. Golf carts pick you up and take you where you want to go within the resort, as you have access to most pools and beach clubs. It is recommended that you buy food to cook, because the restaurants in the resort are expensive. TIP!! Go to the "Beached Bikini Bar and Grill" right outside of the resort area. It is much cheaper than the resort food and right on the beach! It is maybe a 5-minute walk from the resort via the beach. No need for a car here, as long as you do not want to explore outside of the resort and don't mind paying $65-100 each way to and from the airport by taxi or shuttle. Can't wait to come back!”

“Sebastián and Jessica have a beautiful jungle complex, an oasis of tranquility. The apartment is fully equipped and has a huge balcony with a view of the garden. The swimming pool with terrace are a big plus! The welcome was personal and pleasant, we were given a tour of the complex and useful local tips! In the area you can find beautiful beaches and if you want to look for the crowds you are in +/- 30 minutes in Tulum or Playa del Carmen. In our opinion a must!”

“My partner and I just got back from a lovely 4 day stay at James's place and we loved it! The townhouse is part of a condo/house complex called A-nah, attached to the Bahia Principe resort just south of town of Akumal. The Bahia Principe resort is huge and is actually made up of four separate but related hotels: Sian Ka'an (adults only, not on the beach), Coba (family-friendly with lots of stuff for kids), Tulum (general all-inclusive) and Akumal (higher end all-inclusive). As a renter at A-nah, you have access with your wrist band to the Sian-Ka'an portion of the resort and the area of the beach reserved for Sian-Ka'an. There are trolley shuttles that will take you between the various resorts on the property, so if you don't want to leave the resort, you don't have to worry about a car, though you should note that if you want to tour around the area, a car rental is pretty much required. This property is ideal if you are looking for the amenities of a large resort, and want the option of a day or two of all-inclusive resort experience, but you also want the option of cooking your own meals in your own fully equipped kitchen, and the quiet and privacy of your own villa. We bought a one-day all-inclusive pass for the Akumal resort ($70 USD/person) and it was perfect for us. We aren't really all-inclusive type travelers, so it was nice having the option of doing our own thing most of the time, but also being able to just plunk ourselves in a beach chair for a day and not have to worry about doing anything. The villa is beautifully appointed and immaculately clean, with a full service kitchen, very large patios both off the kitchen and on the rooftop, and 24 hour security staff. The folks from the condo property management company were fantastic to deal with and very responsive when we needed anything, as was James. Our only complaint is that we wish we had friends there to share the space with as the townhouse was quite large and it would have been lovely to share it with friends (note that the basic rental is for the one bedroom located in the main house, but there is an adjoining bedroom/bathroom that can be unlocked if you'd like to utilize the space as a two-bedroom property. It's clear from the quality of the appliances and the little touches here and there (like the patio umbrella that has LED lighting and is Bluetooth enabled) that James's had requested during the building and furnishing stage (the complex is only a year old at the time of this writing) that James wanted to make this a home one of vacation enjoyment for himself and his family, and the great news is that as his guests you get to reap the benefits.
