Apartment holiday rentals in Akumal

I absolutely LOVED this place! It was so magical, just like the pictures but better. The glass is actually reflective on the outside (mirror) but just looks like clear glass from the inside. I thought we would need to use the blinds but it was totally private. I also didn't realize it was an upper unit which turned out to be even better with the views. There is no shortage of great restaurants and coffee shops nearby within a 10 min walk. The pool and grounds are kept up daily. The AC kept us cool at night for a comfortable sleep. We pretty much had the place to ourselves! There isn't much storage but not a big deal for us because we packed light. Overall, a 10/10 experience and I would definitely recommend!

Rachel has a beautiful home and you are sure to feel very comfortable there. She has great taste. Though the place seems out of the way, as soon as you start exploring, you’ll find it’s actually pretty central. The building is also gorgeous and we enjoyed going to the rooftop. Thank you Rachel

We enjoyed our vacation very much. Was so nice to come home each evening after exploring to a beautiful pool and handcrafted cocktails. Such a nice space. Panza restaurant (onsite) had wonderful food and very friendly and helpful staff. Love the idea of incorporating resident artists and wellness into the Aflora concept. Aldea Zama was a good location for us. Was able to bike to Tulum Town as well as the beaches and Tulum ruins. Booked a cenote and cooking tour with a local guide via airbnb experiences. Was one of the highlights of our trip! 100% recommend staying here responsive and helpful hosts!:)

We ( my wife and daughter) were there from the 12th to the 16th of May 2025. It's a beautiful place with a small pool, 2 bed rooms, 2 bath, and 3 air cons. It's better to come in your car to this place as it would get better to visit all the places around. Shawn was always there to reply to the messages and I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Tulum.

ANTAL is a wonderful place to stay! It is super quiet and has absolutely beautiful design inside the apartment and in the building common areas. The pool and common areas were fantastic with comfortable lounge furniture, gentle activities (cornhole and giant jenga), and lots of shade. There is a 10 minute drive down a dirt road, but that does keep things quiet. The only negative was that there was a lot of sargasso on the beach while were were there, but that was true of absolutely everywhere along the coast.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb in Playa del Carmen! The location was absolutely perfect—just a short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, and everything else we wanted to explore. The neighborhood felt safe and was incredibly beautiful, with plenty of charm and vibrant local culture. The home itself was spotless and very well-maintained. You can tell the host puts a lot of care into making sure guests feel comfortable. It had everything we needed and more. From check-in to check-out, the host was incredibly responsive, helpful, and kind—truly one of the best we’ve encountered. This place really made our vacation stress-free and enjoyable. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen. We'd definitely stay here again!

Beautiful beach house in a gated community with other beautiful properties as neighbours. Some things that are good to know that the listing doesn’t indicate - bring your own snorkel gear. You can swim out from the property and see some cool aquatic life right there. Watch out for stingrays. They can come very close to the water’s edge!! There is a hidden lagoon area between the property and the pier. Go in the little path and walk in 100m or so. I wouldn’t have known about it except I happened to be going in for a snorkel near the entry point when two women stopped to chat and told me about it. The house doesn’t have a sign with the name and it’s not 100% clear where one property ends and the other begins. We drove past it and took a bit of time to figure out which was the correct parking pad and front door. It’s such a nice spot and we took advantage of getting groceries from the delivery service and eating onsite as well as in Akumal!

Dani is very attentive and attentive all the time. LLegar to the place is complicated because it is a large complex and all the buildings are similar. But the apartment is excellent and the place is very comfortable, with restaurants and accessible shops. Very comfortable stay.

Delighted with the place, as seen in the photos or maybe better, it is very beautiful, the security of the place, it is a gated community, they ask you for a code to enter the area and inside there is everything you need, different restaurants and others. I highly recommend it.

The condo is located in an amazing location to walk 15 minutes to Akumal Beach or 2 minutes to dinner at La Vida Buena. Both are great, parking & check in was easy, & it was peaceful & safely gaurded 24/7

This place was absolutely beautiful. The whole community was peaceful and quiet. The host was very helpful and responsive. Would highly recommend staying here. It is a bit further away from the beach and all the fun restaurants in town. So, I would recommend getting a car or renting some four wheelers near by (we did both). There were plenty of coffee shops and other little restaurants near by as well. Over all great experience and place to stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Fanny’s penthouse in Tulum. It was a peaceful, private retreat and a highlight of our trip. The top-floor unit is beautifully designed, stylish, and totally private—it’s the only unit on that level. The rooftop plunge pool and patio were perfect for relaxing, with lovely views. The bed was very comfortable, AC worked great, and the blackout shades let us sleep in. The open-air shower with sunlight and plants felt magical. La Veleta is a charming part of town with great restaurants nearby, though many roads are still unpaved—just something to be aware of. The unit is walk-up only, so expect stairs, but it’s worth it for the privacy and rooftop access. Fanny and Lucas (the concierge) were super responsive and helpful. Honestly, we wish we had stayed here longer and cut a night from our beach stay—it was that good. We’d absolutely love to return in the future. Highly recommend for a quiet, stylish Tulum experience.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was exceptionally clean and the complex was great. The location was good and we were able to conveniently bike around town wherever we wanted to go. Cris was so nice and helpful with organizing amenities for us! We had such a lovely time and would definitely stay again!

The condo is better than the pictures shown on the website. Maggie was a fantastic host and a very responsive host. This condo is a little gem hidden inside Mexico.

This was my second time staying at this apartment, and I loved it so much the first time that I brought my husband back for his birthday, just two and a half months after visiting with my sister. That said, there are a few things first-time visitors should know: 1. Rent a car. The apartment is in a more remote area, and the road leading in is unpaved. It’s not difficult, but it might feel unfamiliar if you’re not used to driving on dirt roads. A rental car gives you flexibility and peace of mind. I wouldn’t recommend using taxis every time you want to go to the beach or into town—it adds up quickly and limits your freedom. 2. Fly into Tulum Airport. Now that the Tulum airport is open, it's only about 35–40 minutes away from the apartment. You’re only just a few miles from the beach and very close to the town, where you’ll find great restaurants, shops, and a more local vibe. If you’re a fan of Thai food, I highly recommend Sukhothai—it’s about a 10-minute drive. Overall! Great!!

By far one of the most Beautiful Airbnbs. In perfect location right in between the city and the beaches. The perfect destination for serenity! Will be back soon!

i enjoyed my stay here! the host was VERY nice & responsive. i had an issue with the AC on my first day & she had everything taken care of as soon as i reached out about my problem. i loved the ambiance of the loft & the property itself. the neighborhood is quiet at night which i appreciated during the times i slept & during the day it was a lot of places nearby to go grab food from. i will definitely be staying here again!

This Airbnb is beautiful, the pictures don’t really do it justice! When I arrived for check in my phone was dead and thankfully the helpful security was able to call the host for me and get me into the apartment and I really appreciate that. I loved the location of the Airbnb as it’s located in Downtown Tulum near many restaurants and gift shops. An ATV/ Bike rental store is two stores over and I enjoyed being able to walk right over and rent one. I would love to stay here again the next time I visit Tulum!

The Airbnb was great. It had great amenities, was very clean and not far from the center. Arturo always responded quickly, so check-in and check-out went smoothly. I would always come back!

Great little place. I really like having a kitchen and it had everything I needed to cook stuff, which isn't always the case. Clean and comfortable and the host was great. I'll stay here again!

Alizees place was perfect. It’s right by the beach, close to restaurants, taxi services, close to Quinta Avenida, a 30 min walk to the ferry. The place is huge, beautiful balcony, fully equipped kitchen, a pretty rooftop pool & such a comfortable vibe. She was so helpful, accommodating, and even shared some fun spots for us to check out, which we did and were impressed! Some things to note: - Sargassum season gives a strong scent from the balcony but, it didn’t bother us as I’m an ocean lover - On the weekend, the restaurant below plays slightly loud music but again, didn’t bother us as I love the musical aspect of Mexican culture & it stopped around midnight anyways - Takes a bit of time to get cold water because it’s hot down there but I’m used to things like this personally! - The electricity limit was a surprise to me, maybe I didn’t read it on the listing initially but we had plenty of usage and so far I was not charged for it Thanks so much. Definitely hope to return again 🤎

This was a last minute stay for us due to travel delays and it was one of the better places I've stayed in Tulum! The plunge pool was also nicer than most in my experience. Would stay here again

Carlos was a great host and the place is excellent, if you want to stay and relax it's the best and if you want to go out there's everything nearby ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The home exceeded all expectations. It could hardly be better, everything was really thought of. I will return there more often, if Tulum, then at Emilliano's.
