Monthly Rentals in Ákra Akrotíri

Into the Blue was one of the best AirBnb experiences we have had. The view is absolutely breathtaking! We loved that Akrotiri is removed from the crush of tourists. It is so peaceful. The house itself is incredibly spacious and comfortable and has every amenity you could want. Though there were other guests in the attached units, we barely heard anything. Ioanna was extremely helpful and responsive to any questions we had. Dont hesitate to book this place! We hope to return!

Pantelis was an incredible host. He invited us to many different things on the island and drove us when needed. Such a warm and kind presence. Pantelis’ place is in Agrilia, which is an incredible old village full of abandoned cave homes and a beautiful old church from the 15th century. The cliff top village Manolas has the most incredible views especially at sunset, a full 360 view of sunset over the water and Santorini lighting up. Being April restaurants weren’t open yet but Pantelis called and asked them to open just for us and the food was incredible. We stayed for a week so we cooked many of our meals at the place. The kitchen was well stocked with basics and Pantelis gave us vegetables from his garden. There is a small mini mart about 10min walk from the place where we got a few more things.

It was hard to know where to find a place to stay in Santorini before you got to know it. And finally we chose this little cave by the water. The place is quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, the sound of the waves caressing the rocks in front of the entrance leads to total relaxation. Facing east, it's the morning sun that brings incredible light. The cave itself is a cave dwelling simply tastefully decorated. It feels good there, nothing is missing. Not far away, traditional taverns offer very good affordable food. It was just fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay at Kelly’s place in Akrotiri. Kely was very responsive and helpful for anything we needed and she provided a great selection of food for morning meals and beach towels that we really appreciated. The area was quite busy during the day but quiet at night and it had many restaurants and beaches close by. We particularly appreciated that Fira and Oia were close enough to get to quickly by car but far enough away not to be effected by their busy traffic. We definitely recommend this place to stay if you want a good base for island exploring.
