Andre was a fantastic host. There was a very generous welcome basket, including wine, waiting for us on the kitchen table. He responded quickly to our inquiries and provided a very helpful list of local attractions and restaurants. The house was well equipped, very clean and perfectly located for exploring Sao Miguel. We would definitely recommend this house and Andre as a host.

Great big space for our family of four and two grandparents. Beautiful grounds and a good location central to so much. Fun vintage feel. Only heads up is to bring ear plugs as some of the neighborhood dogs can get loud at night.

We had a great time in A Casa da Exploração! Laeticia welcomed us with great kindness and took the time to give us lots of good tips for activities to do with young children. The heated pool with views of the bell tower and mountains is just perfect for relaxing after a day of walking. We are in a real small Portuguese village, quiet, with a nice brewery just around the corner. Private parking is also super convenient. The house is located in a central enough location to explore the whole island easily.
