Fountain House

Casa da Fonte is at Lugar da Praia, a small village situated in a valley between the mountain and the beaches, on the south coast of São Miguel. It is in the center of the Island, close to the highway, ideal as a starting point for long drive or walking tours. There are several sandy beaches around, a waterfall and a natural pool within a 5-minute walk, and a walking trail with a stunning scenery. Quiet place, in the middle of nature, without noise from cars. Totally relaxing and invigorating!

A converted stone watermill at the bottom of a small valley, between two waterfalls. Walking in, you half-expect to have stepped back a century. The sound doesn't stop—it follows you to sleep and is the first thing you hear in the morning. Our place has great views, is within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. We love this house because of the ocean view and the sound of the ocean. Our house is cozy and was recently renovated. We put a lot of work and love into this house and are happy to share it with our family and friends.
