George's house is in a peaceful setting in a small village away from the crowds but only a 15-minute drive to shops, restaurants and the beach. Many hiking trails are accessible nearby. The house is impeccable with all the amenities you need and the terrace is very nice. The neighbors are very nice and welcoming while remaining discreet. George is a wonderful host. He is very accommodating and always available. I highly recommend this house which is a peaceful oasis. Thank you for everything George!

This was the perfect place for me to come & have a quiet, private hermitage. In winter, there are no tourists. The beach is just a short drive away. Mind, in winter stone houses are hard to heat so bring layers if you plan to be at home a lot. Despoina and her family are kind, welcoming and generous people. I’m grateful to have called her place Home for 5 weeks and was a little sad to leave.

We have travelled round Greece alot, and it seems to get harder and harder to find authentic homes. Roula’s family home situated in a small Cretan mountain village is so what we have been looking for - simple, traditional, with a sense of history and family, off the beaten track and surrounded by peace and quiet. It really could not have been better. The house has been beautifully restored and there are two outside spaces. One east facing, perfect for breakfast, and the other west facing, so ideal for the evening. Roula and her mother welcomed us so warmly, providing fresh eggs, local olive oil and the very best oranges, and even a delicious home cooked meal. There was plenty of practical and useful information, but Roula was always willing to help more. We went for a few days in April, which is a fabulous time to see the spring wild flowers, and the ideal temperature for hiking. This really is the prefect place to just stop, relax and listen to the incredible sounds of nature.

Very nice place to stay surrounded by a really quiet and relaxing nature. The starry sky with the Milky Way alone is stunning. Maria was also always very helpful and always friendly. PS: The terrace is now partly covered and therefore also offers shade
