Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Acquarossa

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Casa Tilde in Dervio! Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet und perfekt gelegen – nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß zum See und zu den wichtigsten Geschäften und Restaurants. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Gastgeber: Die Kommunikation war von Anfang an super freundlich und extrem hilfsbereit. Bei Fragen oder kleinen Anliegen konnten wir ihn jederzeit unkompliziert über Chat erreichen und bekamen immer sofort eine Antwort. Das hat uns ein sehr sicheres und willkommenes Gefühl gegeben. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen – absolute Empfehlung!

This home is incredible. The view is stunning. But it is a decent hike up to the house. If you come by ferry it would take 30 mins from terminal to get to the home with many steps. Very challenging with a heavy suitcase. If you come by car it will take approximately 10-15 mins. Lots of stairs. Pack light if you’re able to. The home itself is over 3 levels by a spiral staircase. Bring light luggage if possible. The deck is so nice to spend time on. Lovely, memorable home with a friendly helpful host. Will never forget this beautiful place

Der Aufenthalt bei Brigitte und Edgar war wunderbar erholsam. Der Ausblick alleine ist für sich schon 5 Sterne wert - selten haben wir so viele Sterne beobachten können. Die Wohnung ist sehr abgelegen und für Ruhe suchende Naturliebhaber wirklich zu empfehlen. Die Wanderwege haben wir allerdings nicht getestet. Auch die Nachbarn haben wir kaum mitbekommen. Wir empfehlen bei Tageslicht anzureisen, da der Fußweg im Dunklen zur Wohnung etwas abenteuerlich ist. Ansonsten empfehlen wir die Wohnung gerne weiter - wir hatten nichts auszusetzen.

Die Wohnung ist sehr traditionell in einem alten Steinhaus, im wunderschönen Verzasca Tal gelegen. Der Ort ist der ideale Standpunkt, um das Tal mit der schönen Natur, aber auch Locarno und Ascona zu erkunden. Bitte beachten: der Ort ist an einem Stausee, dort kann man nicht schwimmen! Auch gibt es im Tal keine Supermärkte, Bäcker etc, Einkäufe am besten vorher erledigen. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr sauber, die Küche voll ausgestattet, die Lage sehr ruhig. Wir waren als Familie mit 2 Kindern da und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. (Es gibt steile Treppen im Haus, für sehr kleine Kinder nicht geeignet). Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen!

Thank you Ursula for this amazing stay in your chalet. An authentic and peaceful experience in the nature surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, flower fields, and the forest. The historical house is super clean, decorated with care and has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Ursula even baked a bread and a Zopf for us, both delicious 😍 we could also order food from their farm, like cheese, eggs and meat. It was difficult to leave this quiet heaven. Thank you again Ursula & Ernst for the perfect stay in Safien.

Een heerlijk huisje in een authentiek dorp. We hebben genoten van het prachtige uitzicht vanaf het terras op de lekkere bank, heerlijk geslapen op de goede bedden (ook de sofabank) en de regendouche was ook super. Het contact met Kathi en Ivan was zowel snel als heel vriendelijk, gebruik vooral hun reisgids want daar staan hele goede aanbevelingen in. Pognana is een pareltje, je kunt mooie wandelingen maken naaf boven en op het 'strand' beneden zit je in no time. Bar Sonia boven is heel goed en gezellig, je bent er zo een vaste klant. Ook Marvin, onze hond, heeft genoten, er was nog een verrassing voor hem bij aankomst, heel lief! Je zit heerlijk privé in het huisje, soms hoor je de bovenburen, maar dat was niet storend. Van Bar Sonia hoor je overigens niets. Heel erg bedankt dat we mochten blijven en hopelijk tot ziens!

This home is in an outstanding location overlooking the lake and Lugano. We were blown away by the view from every window. The location was very peaceful, and the home was extremely well-stocked. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony or the covered deck every day (depending on how hot it was!). The home is located a quick drive to downtown Lugano, and a short drive to the top of Monte Bre (highly recommend!) and to Gandria (also highly recommend). We fell in love with Lugano and the surrounding area thanks in part to this house…we will definitely be back.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Gandria ist ein malerisches, kleines Dorf und trotz der ruhigen, beschaulichen Lage gibt es mehrere Restaurants und Kaffees, wo man einkehren kann. Die Wohnung von Louise wurde mit viel Bedacht gestaltet und hat alles, was man für ein paar erholsame Tage braucht.

We had the pleasure of spending a few unforgettable days at Katie’s beautiful apartment in Ronco sopra Ascona. The view is absolutely breathtaking – Lake Maggiore stretches out at your feet, with Ascona and the Brissago Island in full view, framed by the surrounding mountains. The long hours of sunshine on the spacious terrace were a true highlight. The apartment is nice furnished, very well maintained, and offers plenty of space with its three bedrooms – ideal for families or small groups. Everything was clean and perfectly prepared – you can tell Katie is a thoughtful and caring host. The location is peaceful, yet just a short drive from Ascona and the lake. The combination of privacy, stunning views, and comfort makes this place a real gem. We’d love to come back – thank you, Katie!

Spent an amazing couple of days at this place! Really pleased with Monica’s communication and helpfulness. Her recommendations for restaurants and cafes were great and the house was very clean. 100% recommended!

We hebben genoten van deze tussenstop van 2 nachten. We kwamen uit Rome en wat een verschil in ritme. Heerlijk om in de bergen te zijn. De omgeving is prachtig en de bedden waren goed. Het appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien. Een plek om te onthouden voor een volgende vakantie. Bedankt Flavio!

My wife and I absolutely loved Clara's space. She was very friendly and met us when we arrived to show our studio. The self serve store on the first floor was wonderful. There was fresh baked bread daily, gelato, local home made sodas, coffee, clothing and more. The area is absolutely beautiful with waterfalls poking out from the mountains everywhere you look. The location is great to explore nearby towns. The included Ticino passes were a great plus for getting around on public transportation and for deals on other local activities. It was our favorite place that we stayed on our European trip!

Nous sommes pleinement satisfaits de notre séjour dans cette magnifique région, dans un village très calme, avec une vue sur l'église typique du Tichino. Et l'appartement de Esa est très bien équipé, propre, avec une vue exceptionnelle sur les alentours, y compris au moment des repas ! Nous y reviendrons, c'est sûr. Agnès et JJacques

Ich war 4 Tage vor Ort und ich konnte mich aktiv und sehr gut erholen. Die Gegend ist berauschend. Ich habe mich ausschliesslich aufs Wandern konzentriert. Bei der nächsten Besuch werde ich das Bike mitbringen - da gibt es auch sehr viele schöne Möglichkeiten. Das einzige was zu beachte ist, die Sommer Saison startet erst am 5.7.25. Ich war im Juni da, dass heisst, viele Bergbahnen und Restaurants waren noch geschlossen. Dafür hatte ich die Wanderstrecken für mich alleine.

I stayed at Alessandra’s place for two nights and had a great experience overall. The apartment was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and right on the beach with a beautiful view. Private parking was a big plus, and check-in and check-out were both very smooth. Alessandra was a wonderful host—very friendly and welcoming. She even brought us homemade cookies, which was such a thoughtful touch! She was also very responsive whenever we needed anything. The only downside is the location—it’s quite remote, with not much to do nearby. You’ll need to drive at least 15 minutes to reach the nearest store . Most places close by 8 PM, so I recommend bringing food and essentials in advance if you’re planning to stay in for the evening. Overall, it’s a peaceful, beachside escape with a great host. Just plan ahead for meals and supplies.

The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming — they really made us feel at home. The room was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We stayed with our 3-year-old child, and it was perfect for a family. There was a bed, a room, and even toys prepared just for our child, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

Wir haben uns bei Sonja vom ersten Empfang heimisch gefühlt. In der Wohnung fehlte es uns an nichts. Sie ist vollständig und für körperlich eineschränkte Gäste ausgestattet, bis hin zum Nähzeug und kleinen Gesellschaftsspielen. Eine familiäre Atmosphäre haben wir auf dem gesamten Gelände gespürt, mit Spielsachen und -geräten für Kinder. Sonja war uns gegenüber immer verbindlich und hilfsbereit. Ein Aufenthalt, den wir schon heute zu unseren schönsten Urlaubsunterkünften zählen und uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können.

Best way to describe this location is STUNNING! The views are breath taking - more beautiful in person than the photos! We loved our stay - hard to beat having morning coffee & evening wine surrounded by such beauty! The night view when the lights appear is as beautiful as the day view! A car was necessary but well worth it. David was a very responsive and helpful host & we would definitely stay again if we have that opportunity!

We had a wonderful stay in Bellagio and couldn’t have asked for a better host. Alessia was incredibly kind, responsive, and so helpful in planning our visit. She offered great recommendations and made everything feel easy and stress-free. The house itself was absolutely gorgeous, with stunning views, thoughtful touches, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was how she even came to meet us at the ferry and helped with our luggage, which we truly appreciated after a long day of travel. We felt so well taken care of and would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting!

Die Kommunikation auch schon im Vorfeld war sehr freundlich und die Anreise war somit einfach und entspannt. Wir wurden, als wir ankamen, ganz herzlich in Empfang genommen. Die Wohnung ist toll und wir fühlten uns sofort sehr wohl. Es ist alles durchdacht und fehlt an Nichts. Das habe ich bisher selten erlebt. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder und ich kann diesen Ort zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans un endroit absolument idéal pour se reposer. Le cadre est très calme, avec une magnifique vue sur le lac parfait pour déconnecter. Nous avions un logement avec une cuisine extérieure, ce qui était vraiment super agréable pour profiter pleinement de l’environnement. La chambre était très bien, confortable et propre. Le lieu est aussi parfaitement adapté pour un séjour avec un petit enfant : il y a un bac à sable, une balançoire, quelques jouets sur place, une chaise haute, un lit bébé… même des jeux de société pour les soirées en famille. Les propriétaires sont adorables, avec plein de petites attentions qui font la différence : à notre arrivée, des fruits frais, des yaourts, des bières… Et pour ceux qui aiment leur tranquillité, pas d’inquiétude, on ne les a presque pas vus Le seul petit point d’amélioration selon moi serait l’ajout d’une petite piscine ce serait vraiment la cerise sur le gâteau. Mais sinon, tout était top, un vrai petit coin de paradis

This place is spacious, spotless, and absolutely stunning, and Mavi is such a great host. She took time to explain everything to us and all the ways to enhance our trip with lots of recommendations for fun excursions and delicious restaurants. We so enjoyed sitting on the balconies in the evening, overlooking the lake, and we even were able to catch the fireworks during the holiday weekend. What a pleasant surprise that was for us! We will definitely be back if we’re ever in the area again, and we highly recommend this house to anyone looking to enjoy beautiful Stresa on Lake Maggiore!
