Nice, spacious house with all amenities you need. Some parts are a bit outdated, and it should be cleaned a little better. But otherwise it is a great house. The outdoor sauna is very nice and tidy. We received clear instructions from Ragnar about the house and saunas. The balcony is ideal for being able to quickly get outside from the living room to view the Northern Lights. Also the outdoor space is large, and ideal for sledding or playing. Nearby are beautiful hiking and skiing areas. We made a beautiful trip through The Old Postoffice Sweden. Highly recommend. And also definitely visit Forest Jewels, where the Sami sell their made stuff. It was also nice that Ragnar was easy to reach and always willing to offer help where necessary.

If you’re thinking about booking Paula’s Cabin — don’t hesitate. It’s not just a cabin stay, it’s an experience. Paula is the kind of host everyone dreams of: thoughtful, helpful, and always two steps ahead. She’s like your personal assistant during your trip — while respecting your privacy. The cabin is spotless, cozy, and incredibly well-equipped: espresso machine, induction stove, oven, and even running water (not common in cabins like this!). There are proper blinds (yes, you’ll sleep well even when it’s bright all night) and the bed is super comfy. The toilet is outside, but heated — amazing. The wood-fired sauna (& water) by the lake is magical. Paula even made sure we could ice-bathe in the frozen lake! She provided all the firewood we needed and more. So many things to do: (ice) fishing, biking , BBQ, Games etc. — and still didn’t try everything. We’ll definitely come back when it’s darker. I can’t imagine a better spot to watch the Northern Lights. 10/10 stay!

As described, the house has a touch of nostalgia and is furnished with attention to detail. Everything is functional and we felt very comfortable right from the start. The house was very well supplied with firewood that we used from time to time to heat the old oven in the living room. It was always pleasantly warm in the accommodation (electric heating) and Sami had heated the large oven on the day of our arrival. Even though we had learned about things to do in the area in advance, Sami's tips were helpful and we felt confirmed in our planned things to do. We have also used the sauna several times. Very good for 2 people. So overall we had a very nice stay in Lapland and could watch great aurora lights from Sami's house as icing on the icing on the cake last night. A highly recommended place to stay!

The house is very quiet at the end of a street, from the living room you can look directly at the river. We had everything we needed there and the beds were very comfortable. Only the TV reception was so bad that there was no movies to watch in the evening. Otherwise, everything was fine! (:
