Entire studio rental. It is recommended for single use or for two people, but an extra bed (extra bed) can be used for up to 3 people (* Consultation required separately). The house is on the ground floor of a two-story building.The entrance is separate. On the second floor, "Royal Hawaiian cafe the pink" is opened on May 13, 2024 (managed by the separate owner). As soon as you leave the room and ascend the embankment, you can enjoy Lake Biwa in front of you, and the mountains of Hiei and Hira on the other side, the sunrise and sunset in the lake, and the magical scenery that moves with time and seasons. We also recommend jogging, walking along the levee, and cycling along the lake road!! Long stays and business trips are also welcome! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to use it. There is a large shopping mall [Pieri] within a 5-minute walk, and there is a supermarket, a 100 yen uniform, a food court, an open-air bath with a view of Lake Biwa, and a day-trip hot spring "Mizuharu". As an◎ infection and hygiene measure, an air purifier and rumba has been prepared for indoor antibacterial treatment such as walls, floors, and ceilings. WiFi is available for◎ free. Security cameras are installed in the◎ parking lot. It is free if you sleep until the age of◎ 12.

Walk by the Seta River, relax in nature, and visit nearby spots like MIHO Museum, Hikone Castle and more. The room has warm lighting and a 240cm-wide bed for perfect rest.

Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee.
