Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Yarra River

This was our second stay in this incredible home. The second workshop I’ve held here. This house is incredible! We absolutely love staying here. The special touches make it too. The incense, essential oils, organic skin products. I also want to celebrate the luscious bath towels, this is something many Air BnB’s miss. We will be back again. This little peace of heaven was perfect for our family to celebrate my 40th birthday. From the moment we walked in the front gate to see the house amongst the gum trees and then the waterfall from the bedroom. We felt like we stepped into an old fairytale world with our own treehouse. Everywhere we walked felt like little fairy’s were waiting to greet us. The ferns throughout and stepping stones between each area made for the best adventures. The kids loved watching the frogs and tadpoles in the back pool. The natural pool was incredible and soul nourishing. Our first experience with a natural pool and it was breathtaking, especially being able to swim under the waterfalls. Thank you so much Sarah, we hope to return sometime Soon.

Great location, easy access to public transport and amenities. Beautifully decorated, a lovely space to escape to.

Was a beautiful place to stay, very close to the town. The entire place was spotless, and everything looked brand new. The fire was already loaded ready to light, and everything you could need is provided. Cannot fault this place, and cannot recommend it enough.

We had a wonderful winter getaway at Warby retreat! Such a beautiful home in a peaceful location. The house had everything we needed and it was really warm and cosy. We were visited by lots of birds (which we knew not to feed). 🙃 Absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this place!

One of my all time favourite stays in Melbourne (and I have had many). Fitzroy is the suburb with the best character, walkability, access to the city and overall vibe. This little cottage has been stylishly renovated and staying there just felt like home. I loved the plants and artwork, the ability to play my music throughout the house and the smart lighting. Parking was easy with the visitor permit. The concrete floor was chilly (I was warned), so next time I'll pack my Uggs. Thanks for sharing your pad!

We loved Gingers on the Hill. It feels like home and is full of thoughtful touches to make your trip away that little bit special. It's an elegant nod to the mid-century aesthetic and so comfortable and quiet. So great. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay here and the hosts Jared and Kristy were lovely and very responsive! Studio was nice, cozy and clean. It was more spacious than we expected for the 3 of us. Weather was freezing in Melb and a heater was also kindly set up for us. Location is fantastic, in front of the beautiful Carlton Gardens and easily walkable to the city and surrounding suburbs (e.g. Fitzroy). We left our car in the car park and walked everywhere we wanted. Lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby (also appreciated the recommendations by the hosts). Apartment complex is very secure (incl. car park). We'd like stay here when we visit Melb again in the near future.

Stayed 2 nights at Allan and Elizabeth’s listing. The place was as per photos and felt very clean and fresh. Host was kind to get the heating turned on for us before we arrived as it was a cold day. We chose this area as it was in close proximity to the massive Chadstone shopping centre and is between Melbourne and Phillip Island (penguins). Overall a very pleasant and easy stay. Do note to request for self check-in if required as we had the host wait up for us and we felt really bad!

This place is a gem 💎 nestled down the end of a quiet street surrounded by trees and nature. It was so very peaceful. The interiors were lovely, it was clean and cosy. I loved how light filled the space was and the view out to the courtyard. It was an easy walk down to the Main Street. I would highly recommend booking.

We had an amazing stay here! The apartment is situated on a high floor, offering breathtaking views of the Melbourne skyline. We were even lucky enough to catch hot air balloons drifting over the city in the early morning — such a magical experience! The location couldn’t be better — just steps from a Free Tram Zone stop, which made getting around the city incredibly easy and convenient. The apartment itself was spotless, stylish, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Early check-in was offered when available, which was a huge relief after a long trip. We also appreciated being able to store our luggage after checkout, giving us more time to explore the city without worry. The free parking was a major perk, especially in central Melbourne where parking can be a challenge. Our host was outstanding — friendly, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our stay. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable, and memorable

Jillian's space was thoughtful and well set out. Such quiet surrounds for city living. Park just down the street for beautiful walks with special directions from the hostess for the best views. Wonderfully modern bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom with the biggest shower you will ever find. Would recommend and definitely request to stay again in the future.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. So close to everything, big space and a beautiful view! The stairs to get to the apartment were quickly forgotten when we walked in. Beautiful place and very kind and generous hosts!

I was the perfect place to stay for a couple of nights. The check in is super easy and the apartment is exactly as described. Would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Melbourne central area.

Kate's cosy apartment was super good. Restaurants, theaters, great shopping, transport and even parks all really close by. Really close. Great shower, comfy bed, and so many thoughtful extras that I never expected. Thanks Kate for a wonderful week.

I’m glad to have stayed at Aster’s place once again—this time at a different listing. The location was incredibly convenient, situated right opposite Southern Cross Station, which made getting to and from the airport a breeze. With trams just around the corner, exploring the city was easy and accessible. It was a smooth and pleasant stay overall, and I’ll happily choose Aster’s place again the next time I’m in Melbourne.

A great stay, just on the edge of China town, the food in the area is incredible. Aside from endless food and drink the stay itself was perfect. A great space, the photos of the place honestly don’t do it justice. Having a night in the high rise with the city views is just a good time all around. Grantley, was incredibly responsive and was flexible when we needed something. We would stay here again without thought. Truly sad to have to check out! Till next time.

Loved staying here for a few nights. The kitchen is fully stocked which was helpful to cook at home, great location with cafes nearby. Everything was clean and neat and the space is amazing for the price. The washer and dryer were very handy too. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed 5 weeks in the apartment and loved it. It’s bright, airy and has everything we needed to feel at home. Great location in the heart of Hawthorn and so close to train station, trams and lots of great food places. Highly recommend.
