My family had the pleasure of staying here for the first week in June 2025. We had a fabulous week enjoying this fabulous cottage and its surroundings. The inside offered us all the comfort and things we needed, including an awesome hot tub "tub" complete with rolled towels, clothes pegs and plastic glasses! Everything was exceptionally clean and there were lots of great books and games to keep us entertained as we lazed around the beautiful property. The kayaks and paddle boards were so much fun as we explored both directions on the river. Honestly the property was SO nice we hardly wanted to leave it but we did manage to get out a few days to visit Ottawa and the cute towns of Perth & Almonte. Two fabulous restaurants we visited and recommend is Joe's Italian Kitchen (In Almonte) and Michael's Table in Perth. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog Russ who had the BEST time all week enjoying the water, boats and watching the wild life from his little fur rug in sunny bay window.

We loved our stay and will definitely consider coming back! Julia and William seem to be awesome people and it's great to see hosts who actually care about your experience. Highly recommended getaway!

We had such a great stay at this place! Super calm, peaceful, and surrounded by trees with an awesome view of the lake. Mornings were especially lovely, with the harmony of birdsong adding to the relaxing atmosphere. The sauna and hot tub were a big bonus and really added to the relaxation vibe. It’s in a beautiful green area, away from the noise of city life, but still just about 20 minutes from stores and local spots. We also loved the little extras like kayak, projector, and all the games and board games definitely made our family time even more fun. The team was super responsive and helpful, answering all our questions quickly. My family and I really enjoyed our time here, thank you for everything Breathe Vacation Rentals!

We loved it! The cottage is located in a private area on the lake, well-decorated, and has 4 levels making it very spacious. The hottub and sauna were awesome - perfect for our winter stay. We liked the couch in the downstairs living room as it was big and comfortable, and we appreciated the Roku for easy streaming. We had no issues driving to the cottage even after heavy snowfall - the private road and driveway were cleared. Walkways, stairs and decks were also cleared. Plenty of room outside for walks with a dog and other activities. We would highly recommend Siobhan’s cottage!

Wonderful place to spend some relaxed days in the beautiful Canadian nature. The cottage was fully equipped, neat, cozy and lovingly decorated. Exactly as shown on the pictures. Nothing was missed. Charlotte and Cindy replied within shortest time and provided all relevant information well in advance. We enjoyed the stay from the first minute and couldn't imagine a better place for our vacation. Hope to come back!

Prunella No.4 A-frame cabin is a gem. Nancy and Catherine are amazing hosts - they provided everything we needed to feel at home. They even had all the amenities for our pup, including a dog bed and bowls, which was a thoughtful touch. Their attention to detail, from the property, to the decor and lights inside and outside the cabin, the dock and everything at the lake, was perfect and made our stay a 5 star experience. We loved exploring the trails and taking the kayak and paddleboard out. We look forward to going back already.

Stunning area, amazing location, and fantastic amenities. Very well thought out layout. Going from the hot tub to the sauna was so good after a long day of 4wheeling. Every question is answered in the guest book. When we didnhave a question Meghan took care of if asap. Thankyou Meghan and the owners for such a beautiful spot. Ben and the 4 wheeling gang.

Absolutely amazing, we had great plans, but the ice storm and the cozy fireplace changed those plans. Hermann and Tracy were an absolute blast! Super chill, and super friendly, we would come back just to spend time with them! We had a cute visitor to come check up on us as well! We hope to be back, thank you hosting us Hermann and Tracy!

Great place to stay, the cabin is cozy and clean, we can still smell the pine wood that is the building material of the cabin. We came on the thanksgiving long weekend, this year it was very cold, fortunately we brought our winter jackets and sleeping bags. The host is very nice, you can ask for more comforts if you don’t have your own, otherwise it is too cold to sleep. We didn’t bring drinking water, but a general store is 3 minutes driving away. The fall scene was spectacular, the lake is peaceful, the host and her son were friendly and responsive. We may come again in summer when it is warmer.

Overall amazing stay. Raene and Alex were great, always responded quickly, provided detailed information on how to use the various utilities in the home (propane stove, wood stove, etc.), and gave good info on trails to explore on their property. The cabin itself is beautiful. Great craftsmanship, and allows you to be in the bush while still having the convenience of a regular home (washroom, wifi, tv, etc.). The land encapsulates the Ontarian bush well. It was enjoyable to explore, with a beautiful waterfall nearby, and the Bonnechere caves a short drive away. Their horses are also beautiful and super friendly. Would recommend anyone stay here, whether you’re a local or not, theres something for everyone. Also, the maple syrup was delicious!

The place was really nice and with a great view. We enjoyed kayaking and bonfires. Amber was amazing with all the instructions and quick responses.

Such a lovely getaway spot, feels away from it all but isn’t too far from groceries or a hiking trail. Dogs welcome which was much appreciated by our pup who also enjoyed her stay!

This place was beautiful and felt like home! There’s is not a lot of cell phone service only on wifi. The house had everything you needed, just when you thought you brought everything they already had it! Spices, pans, pots, tin foil etc. It is a very quiet area. There was a dock a few minutes away we launched our boat to go fishing as well! Will be back for sure!

What a wonderful escape! The water nearly surrounded the cottage and every direction you have a gorgeous view. Our days were spent on the lake in the kayak exploring the area. The water was so clear that you could see all the fish. Our dogs loved the area and the swimming. The area was private, and had everything we needed. We hope to return next summer!

We had the perfect stay while at “Rowe’s Cabin” starting the new year in a quiet and peaceful setting. The hosts shared the story of the land and the cabin, including its history, adding to the experience and atmosphere for us that we really valued. They recommended going to Barron Canyon and we made sure to make a stop on our way out and it was the perfect ending to or trip, we were the only ones on the trail making it so much more whimsical. We snowshoed around the cabin and quietly sat in the window, playing uno, in the evening watching deer and wildlife coming up to the cabin for an hour or two. It had snowed the day we got there so it felt extra disconnected and relaxing. The hosts made sure we felt comfortable and safe in the cabin, we often are out in the woods during all times of the year and the hosts make this cabin experience in the woods fun and within reach to anyone new to the being in the woods or have more experience in the woods.

We had the best time staying with Caroline and her family - they were so approachable, friendly and knowledgeable about their animals. Our little girl was obsessed with the cows and alpacas and we were lucky enough to have a guided tour and meet them all. The apartment was stunning and so comfortable we can't thank you enough!

Chris was an excellent host and his property was fantastic. The cabin was spotless, well appointed, and modern. It’s clear that Chris values providing a comfortable stay for his guests, as no detail was left overlooked! The amenities were plentiful and very much enjoyed. Thank you Chris!

Our stay at the Northwoods Cottage was simply perfect. Rachel and Tim were so generous, ensuring the trail to their fire pit was shovelled and gravelled so we could enjoy it with our guests. They clearly showed care in ensuring we had a great time, and all our needs would be met. The cottage its self is immaculate. The beds are comfortable, the view is amazing, the modern feel with touches of french farmhouse would make anyone feel cozy! They also had amazing recommendations for our nearby needs. We will definitely be booking another stay in the future. I can't say enough good things about Rachel, Tim and our stay. Highly recommend this cottage if you're looking for a beautiful, serene time!

We couldn’t have asked for better hosts. Tom and Jeanne’s calm and friendly demeanor made us feel completely at home. Their property is a dream to explore—we would have moved right in if we could! The Airbnb is beautifully built; Tom is truly a master craftsman. The cabin is filled with stunning rustic décor, and you can’t help but dive into the documents they’ve left behind, which bring the place to life with its rich and beautiful history. We'll be sure to visit again soon! 100+STARS!

This was an incredible place to stay. Everything in the description was bang on, plus more. We were at a workshop at the Cordwood and the location was a perfect distance away. Our hosts were incredibly kind, even drying a sweater that fell in the ground outside the cabin. We would recommend this place to anyone!!!!!
