Holiday rentals with a kayak in Western Greece

Our trip in Katakolo could not have been better than thus by booking Ilias' house. We really appreciated his attention to detail and overall his incredible kindness. We had no trouble accessing all the facilities described in the description of the house and had a wonderful week. Although the house was clean and functional, we spent most of our time on the balcony where we could enjoy the sunlight during the day and the hot tub after the sunset. You can also spend most of your days at the beach. However, mind the numerous jellyfish, especially in summer when the water is warm. You can go all the way to the port and swim near the beachbar, where most tourists go. Ilias also offered to transport us to the nearby touristic spots such as the antique Olympia (which is a must-see in the region) for a relatively cheap price.

Out of the way and private, bit of a detour to get there but some beautiful views made the drive worthwhile. They have everything you need but come prepared with groceries for dinner.

Paraskevi's place is a gem. The house and contact with Paraskevi and her husband Anaxagoras far exceeded our expectations. Accommodation and location, courteous personal address and the individually and extensively equipped house are exceptional. The bedrooms, bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, dining and living area, a beautiful conservatory and the homely terrace in stylish furnishings offered a variety of opportunities for cozy togetherness of our family, complemented by a garage with sports, fishing and bathing utensils of any kind, a car parking space and outdoor grill. Close proximity to the beautiful beach promenade Paralias and the sea as well as bars and cafes (2 min. Walking) including freshwater showers are great and overall little touristy at the beginning of October. Paraskevi and Anaxagoras represent hosts who correspond to the original Airbnb idea and come from friendships. Thank you!

The location is great, located right by the sea, from upstairs you can see the sunrise. The lawn is gorgeous, you can let the kids play freely. Nearby there are tavernas and cafes. The area is very quiet. A bit difficult to get to, even with the gps. We were pleasantly surprised that Mr. Ianis speaks Romanian. Very hospitable, they helped us with everything we needed. The villa has a bit of a dangerous staircase for young children.

This cottage is an oasis of paradise. It is renovated and redecorated extraordinarily pleasant, with a lot of attention to the details, the harmony with the nature of the place where it is, at the edge of the sea, in a cheerful and friendly community. You can find there everything you need for a simple and peaceful holiday. Hosts are welcoming, attentive, full of solicitude. A holiday in peace, in peace and in the constant murmur of the sea as is possible in this place , is all you can wish to remove the worries and problems accumulated in the tumult of everyday life. Neighbors are kind, friendly, cheerful, provide guidance when needed , as well as gifts. As well as our host Ankica, he was waiting for us with delicious surprises in the fridge, but also on the way out! Thank you, our dear, we will be back as soon as we can!

Dionisos was a wonderful host! She left us food for the morning. We were traveling with our teenagers. It gave us space to spread out. This is a convenient location to Olympia if you are arriving by car. It can be tricky to find - arriving during daylight hours was helpful.

We had an incredible week at Nikos place - really peaceful and stunning views. Enjoyed walking to the marina, beaches and restaurants and using the kayak and jetty. Quite a walk (and some uphills) with our bags so worth bearing in mind for future guests. Boat to take you to mainland was €2 each and came once an hour and locals were all really friendly.

Dimitris is a fantastic host. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. I know Greek hospitality is lovely, but Dimitris set a new standard above all my previous experiences. The home was as listed. The location was far better than I initially thought. 6-7 minutes car ride to Zante. All other parts of the island were so easily accessible as well. Xigia in less than 20 minutes. Tsilivi in 7 minutes. Kampi was 40 minutes drive. Keri was 30 minutes. His recommendations for places to eat/visit were excellent as well. This was so affordable and convenient. It all added to our Zakynthos experience. Highly recommended :)

I would give 10 stars if I could. Everything from check in to check out was extremely smooth. Christo has been an incredible host, and acted as our main point of contact for all of our questions while at the Island. The house is cozy, well decorated, right on the beach front, which looks better than the pictures. I highly recommend this place.
