Bay Stays @ The Bay Stores

PhilippeRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Clair's house was very cozy and spacious. Very nice kitchen/dining space where we spent most of our time, but also a very pleasant living room upstairs. Beds were very confortable and it's a quiet location. Clair was really friendly, helpful and responsive. Very useful to have Clair's store next door too. Whiting bay is a great location. There's quite a few nice walks to be done around it, and it's really not far to drive to Brodick. Our 3 days there went far too quickly! Thanks!

Absolutely fantastic. The property was even better than the photos. Check in and out was straight forward. Property had everything needed and furnished to an extremely high standard. Location was perfect as right on the beach. Would definitely recommend.

Symphonica: Artist's Nest on Estate by the Sea

ChrisRating, 5 stars6 months ago
My husband and I had never stayed on the Dunskey Estate before, or in this part of Scotland. Both were a revelation. The estate is gorgeous with tracks through the woodland displaying wonderful autumn colour. The accommodation was beautiful, comfortable and tranquil. We loved the decked garden from which to view the Hunters moon and starlit sky. The secret entrance to the enchanting walled garden was magical. The surrounding delights of Portpatrick, lighthouses, Logan Botanic Gardens and the Mull of Galloway were stunning on a blue sky day. Sadly, our stay was too short this time, but we would love to return to enjoy Dunskey in different seasons. Thank you for sharing.

Stunning coastal holiday home

DanaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The place was stunning! We can't get enough of the sunroom and the sitting room facing the coastline. We had a very chill stay as the place was very cozy and there were lots of places to see nearby. As an introvert person, I love the idea of self check-in as it was easy and smooth. Place was spotless and everything was working. Even the kids adored the place as they have a playroom with toys too. They have cutleries and cooking tools as well which were very handy. Cheryl was very responsive with our queries. Several friends already asked about our stay as they find our photos beautiful too. Overall delighted to have stayed in their place and would definitely recommend!

Traigh - Kintra Beach Cottages

AndrewRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Very cosy cottage in a beautiful, quiet location. The cottage had everything we needed. Nice views out to the sea from the big windows. To the back of the house, views out to the farm with sheep, lambs and rabbits running around. We drove all over Islay during our stay so, although the cottage is fairly remote, it doesn’t take long to access other parts of the island. Plenty of wildlife to spot, we saw eagles on more than one occasion, but unfortunately no otters. Particularly enjoyed the trip up to the American memorial, distillery tours, trip to Jura for the day (warning - you have to reverse on to the small ferry!), Finlaggan and the Oyster Shed. There are a lot of single track roads to negotiate and some of the surfaces are quite rough but we found it to be part of the adventure. Enjoy the peace and quiet. We had a great time.
