Putara base camp feature a fully equipped kitchen, an open plan living area and dorm style sleeping area (6 beds are on the mezzanine floor, access is only by a ladder) with a capacity of 10 guest. You also have the option to pitch a tent. A separate ablution block with 5 showers and toilets. Nice big fenced grounds for the kids to play and have their little adventure. The Tararua forest park offers beautiful bush walk and is located 5 minutes down the road and great swimming holes nearby.

The Fifth Room

Easy walk to Jackson St shops, cafés and restaurants. Petone Beach and Railway Station within a 10min walk. Percy's reserve and walking tracks close by. Wellington city a 10 min drive (off peak). The InterIslander Ferry is a less than ten minute drive off peak. Perfect to catch an early morning Ferry, or late afternoon disembark. Supermarkets, specialty stores, cinema and pharmacies. Petone pretty much has it all including a Kmart which is quite literally at the end of the street.

George's Hideout in Carterton

Chill out in the garden under the fruit trees during the day and watch the stars of the Wairarapa dark sky at night. All the other attractions of Wairarapa food and wine are close by. Only a 5 minute stroll to the Carterton main street, a 10 minute drive to Greytown, 15 to Gladstone and 20 to Martinborourgh vineyards and restaurants. Time out in our castle turret

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This wee slice of paradise is about 10 minutes walk from our home on a 6 acre lifestyle block. We saved three ‘turrets’ from a local castle and have created a space away from the trappings of modern life (including electricity and cell coverage!) and our creek amongst our sheep, chickens and ducks. This space is ideal for two with a double bed, gas cooking as well as a pot belly stove and a seperate camping style bathroom.

Located in Tawa, it is a 10-15 minute walk to local cafes and restaurants, plus other amenities including a supermarket and laundromat. The cabin is self contained with it's own bathroom, and a small kitchenette for your convenience. Please note the cabin is located up a flight of stairs behind the main house on the property.
