Such lovely hosts , friendly, thoughtful, and really went the extra mile. They checked in with us when the weather turned and brought extra firewood to keep us cosy, plus a surprise some home-baked cookies which absolutely made our day. Felt really well looked after, would definitely stay again!

Had a lovely stay at Kim’s cabin. Enjoyed the garden, the bath, the random books selection as well. Everything was clean and very cute. Love the small attentions too. Waked to the recommended cafe which was really nice. The Otaki Beach market was nice for a stroll on Sunday morning. Lots of places to see in the area! Thank you Kim!

What a beautiful hut Emma’s place is. If you want to disconnect and enjoy absolute peace whilst overlooking magnificent scenery this is the place for you. The outdoor bath is highlight and recommend ordering the platter and going for a walk. Home was well equipped and spotless. Would come again for sure. Thank you Emma.

super relaxing, quaint, and cosy space. Natalia did a great job of making us feel welcome and at home, with the fairy lights on outside and the heater on inside when we arrived. would recommend and absolutely would return

My husband and I stayed at Joanne’s place for a weekend getaway. It was perfect for us! We loved the cabin vibe with all the wood, the comfortable bed, the fireplace and spacious bathroom. The location was great, very peaceful and in company of dozens of birds in the morning and sheep grazing nearby. Also the night sky visibility is unbeatable. What a delight to watch the stars on the wooden patio wrapped in super soft blankets! With Greytown 15 min away, Castlepoint 1h15 min away and Mount Holdsworth trailhead 30 min away, this was the prefect spot to visit Wairarapa. We will happily come back!

Had a great stay here. It’s a nice spot in a quiet neighbourhood and perfect location to the beach just across the road. Walkable distance to restaurants, bakery and dairy’s. We didn’t need to use the car at all while we were here which was a nice change! The place was clean and warm also :) Loved that it was pet friendly also so we could bring our dog along for the trip

A lovely private cabin amongst the trees with the sound of the river and cicadas. The bed and chairs were extremely comfortable and the cabin was very clean. Gail also was able to provide access to indoor bathroom/shower and some kitchen facilities as there were no other guests staying at this time. Gail was very friendly and helpful and a lovely host.

Had such an awesome weekend get away. Super peaceful area by the beach. Pizza oven was awesome

Mark was responsive and made the check in easy. Awesome set up with the outdoor fire and badminton course. Very close to the beach too.

Putara Base Camp is a fantastic place to stay with a group of friends to escape the city to the countryside. The accommodation is rustic but comfortable and has everything you need, including a great supply of firewood. The space was tidy, and the bathrooms were clean. Michelle communicated the check-in instructions clearly. The countryside surroundings are absolutely gorgeous. Overall, it was an awesome stay. Definitely recommended!

Good value for money and a great base for our visit to Featherston Booktown festival as really close to town. Would also be a good location for cycling the Rimutaka rail trail which is close by. The cabin is simple, spotlessly clean and cosy - with everything we needed for a two night stay. Mary is a welcoming host who gave clear instructions and was easy to contact. It is off-grid as described but we found it perfectly warm with plenty of hot water and loved the rural setting

Beautiful tidy cabin in a private location. only a short drive back to the town centre. Cheryl was very responsive to messages and a great host. We enjoyed our peaceful stay here and will reccomend it to others!

Absolutely perfect for our family while we competed in the Nth Island Streetstock Champs!! Quirky but very cool little spot with great parking for our race trailers! Google maps unfortunately took us down a private driveway which thankfully had a turn bay to be able to exit with our large trailers (apologies to those people as it was 10pm!) FYI take the driveway directly before the speedway track entrance not where Google maps takes you. The communication was a little slow and the property listing a little vague but we got there in the end and it was perfect. From the Castleton Racing Team, Thank You so much Angela for having us and we would love to come back one day!!

Small but well thought out. Perfect peaceful place away from home for a night while catching up with friends. Plenty of restaurants, pubs & everything nearby. Pauline's a lovely host, will definitely stay again.

I only stayed one night - arriving late and leaving at check out the next day. As someone who was travelling through town on the intercity bus, this place was super close and easy to find and walk to and from the bus stop. Spacious, private, flexible check-in was appreciated.
