I loved my two week stay at the farm! I came looking for a peaceful getaway from the city and to get a taste of life out in the Wisconsin countryside, and was definitely not disappointed. The farm is way up in the hills surrounded by nothing but land, and always an enjoyed the 10-15 minute drive down into town for supplies. I worked remotely while there, my first time using Starlink internet, and was very impressed with the speed. The place is very homey and cozy, with great amenities, comfortable bed, and warm heat. It was fun being able to watch the cows from the window, too :) Kayla had great suggestions for the area which was appreciated. I was wishing I could stay longer, and also wish I had taken the opportunity to purchase and grill the fresh beef options available! I definitely do hope to return one day.

We had a GREAT time at Isaac’s place. We arrived in a snowstorm that increased our travel time by 50% but Isaac’s checking approach was so easy and straightforward that it made us wearied travelers feel right at home. The home was spotless clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. We had a great family gathering with our “boys” and their wives. We did go for a brief hike at Wyalusing state park— breath-taking views, especially with the fresh snow cover.

Staying at this charming bungalow was a delightful experience, and I would have extended my stay if it hadn’t already been booked. Upon entering the home, I felt my entire body exhale and instantly felt a sense of relaxation. This beautifully restored residence perfectly balances the character of an older building with the modern comforts of a pristine kitchen and bathroom. Its prime location makes it easy to explore downtown Prairie du Chien on foot or take enjoyable day trips. It’s also an ideal spot for anyone needing to work remotely. One of the highlights of my stay was the time I spent on the screened porch, where I enjoyed meals, reading, and tackled some work tasks. I loved my time here, and I hope it's available when I return to the area again!
