Wonderful location. Especially loved the balcony in the evening, sipping chilled wine and watching the buzzards soaring above us. We even got a fabulous sunset. Highly recommend as a base for exploring the Black Forest

Quiet area within walking distance to restaurants and shops

We were there with four people and two dogs and everything matched the description. A nice cozy, clean apartment where you could feel right at home. We also found the range of utensils (towels, dishwashing detergent and the like) and the possibility of washing your laundry on site to be great.

The accommodation is very spacious and from the balcony you have a beautiful view. There is a lot to discover, hike, excursion destinations, etc. in the area. Great for getting to know the Black Forest. For us as a family with children, it was particularly nice because there are chickens, lots of vehicles, a sandbox, a slide, etc. We felt very comfortable!

Perfect accommodation! We took this apartment for a family weekend at EuropaPark (only 20 minutes by car), we all left delighted. The accommodation is clean, accessible and has more than necessary inside. The accommodation is decorated with great taste, with small details everywhere in the apartment. It was a pleasure to stay here, and we will definitely come back. I recommend Iris's apartment to everyone. Thanks for the stay.

The stay was perfect all around. The accommodation was exactly as described – clean, well equipped and furnished with great attention to detail. We especially liked the quiet location and the cozy atmosphere, in which you immediately feel at home. The host was extremely friendly, easily accessible and made check-in super uncomplicated. Even small extras like coffee or tea made the stay particularly pleasant. I would come back anytime – a clear recommendation for anyone looking for a reliable and charming accommodation!

Our family of four, kids 12 and 9, had a lovely week away here! Fantastic views of the Black Forest, comfy beds, stylish bathrooms, terrace, well equipped kitchen and parking. Hornberg is great for hiking and sightseeing. We hiked through the woods from the house, drove to Feldberg to climb the highest point in the Black Forest and enjoyed a walk to Hornberg Castle. Triberg Waterfall was a great day out, as were the various museums and attractions there. A highlight was Ride and Slide day at Europa Park and Rulantica. Amazing rides, short queue times and excellent theming. We've been to Disneyland and, honestly, had a better time here! We headed to Baden Baden for a walk along the allee and a trip on the funicular to the watch the paragliders jump. We spent the whole of our last day at the Freibad Hornberg, a wonderful lido, local to the house, where our kids played on the huge slide and diving boards for hours. Can't recommend the house and location enough!

Really impeccable accommodation! Everything in the best condition and also the kitchen was well stocked and left nothing to be desired. There were also toys for our 16-month-old son. We can recommend the accommodation without reservation! :)

5 stars all around! A wonderful, quaint home. We felt like VIP guests! Nui and Stephan were such kind, helpful and great hosts. An all-around perfect stay and visit. We wish we could have stayed longer and would certainly recommend to all.

I live in Airbnbs and originally booked Claire’s house for 3 nights and extended it two more once I realized how great it is. All the other reviews are accurate about location and quality. It’s full of books and other non-IKEA things that make you feel at home. The apartment, even though downstairs, has its own outdoor space and feels airy You can get into Freiburg very easily by public transport and there are walking trails directly from the house. Plenty to do. Bring a bike if you can. I would absolutely stay here again.

We liked the stay in the Sonnenhäusle very much. The house is quiet and you can start hiking right at the door. We also received tips for hikes, which we tested directly and found to be good. 🙂 The house is well suited for 4 adults and the spacious garden invites you to relax. Communication in advance and at check-in was excellent. The house itself has everything you need and the sauna after a long hike was an absolute treat. We would stay there again at any time!

We were very comfortable with a dog! Especially if you bring more leisure time, you will be well supplied with excursion tips and instructions in the extensive, thought out folder in the apartment. We were able to start spontaneous, small hikes directly from the house. We found that the space on both floors is super smart and pleased to be able to shop directly from producers in the neighborhood on foot. For our purposes, staying at Elena's was just the thing :)

Daniela is a very nice and helpful contact. The location of the apartment is quiet and the surroundings (the village) very idyllic. From the accommodation, you can quickly reach the surrounding vineyards, the city centre of Baden-Baden and numerous hiking routes through the Black Forest. Just the thing to unwind ☀️

We really liked the spacious, bright and well-equipped apartment as a group of four people. We especially loved the terrace! Even in the rain, we were able to use it and relax on it. The little cat, who visited us from time to time, also sweetened the evening. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

The apartment is modern, everything looks like the photos. Fully equipped kitchen, incl. Oven, microwave and fridge! We were very pleased. There was a washing machine and hair dryer in the bathroom. It was also clean, and the location is perfect for Europapark visitors. (10-15 min drive).

We felt at home in the accommodation from the beginning. The apartment is excellently equipped – there were many small hygiene items, a fully equipped kitchen and everything you need in everyday life. The large, private balcony with morning and evening sun was a real highlight and invited you to linger every day. On hot days, the air conditioning cooled us pleasantly, and the modern, spacious bathroom was also very comfortable. The friendly contact was particularly positive – we always received quick answers and also received great tips about the area and activities. All in all absolutely recommended – we would come back anytime!

What a fantastic place to stay! The loft had everything you could ever need or want…even little things like sandwich bags and a free welcome drink were provided. The loft was spacious yet felt cosy. It was in a quiet area yet less than a 15 minute drive from Baden Baden. There are plenty of walks straight from the accommodation, or in and around the area. We also visited Europa Park which was about an hour away but easy to do and for anyone that loves waterparks or theme parks these are amazing! We would love to come again one day.

The host Anita was very friendly and always responded quickly. The apartment is pleasantly clean and well furnished. Magnificent view from the balcony. Beautiful hikes can be taken directly from the house. We loved staying here.
