Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Volterra

Before arriving, Stephano informed me in detail if we would get lost, and he also carried a heavy carrier. A welcoming wine gift warmed our heart on the table. He also gave us detailed instructions on how to get on the bus to Florence and the bus stop. He wanted to tell us anything. In the old farmhouse, everything is prepared like a house for family, not travelers. I took pictures of the fantastic sunset and scenery. When I go back to Seoul and get tired of my daily life, I think I will reminisce about this picture. And thank you for the gifts, Nicoletta.

Breathtaking location with views that are exactly what you want in the Chianti region. It was a beautiful place and was very nicely setup. Extremely responsive and helpful host. He provided recommendations and was quick to respond to questions. The house is centered nicely within the region and allows access to many different villages, wineries, and restaurants. An amazing experience and I highly recommend!

My husband and I, plus our French Bulldog, had the pleasure of staying here for just over 3 weeks. Immediately felt like home, and host family had everything to do with that! Highly recommend. stunning views, fabulous location and some of the most gracious people I've ever met.

It would be simply impossible to overstate how fantastic our stay here was. We're a well travelled family worldwide, and can honestly say we've never experienced anything quite like this week. The property is a hidden gem nestled in the side of the beautiful ancient village of Peccioli, surrounded by rolling hills of olive groves and vineyards as far as the eye can see. Enjoy breakfast/coffee in the private courtyard & gardens with morning sun pouring over you, or settle in for an evening listening to wildlife with a glass of Tuscan wine. The property is well equipped and boasts clean, tasteful sleeping area which my girls greatly enjoyed sleeping in the ceiling/mezzanine space! However, the big differentiator is Elena herself. You would be lucky to meet such a beautiful, warm, kind and sincere lady. She helped us enormously with local knowledge & advice about places we'd never have found, and can now say we'll never forget. Elena made this stay amazing, and we'll be coming back!!

Hands down our favorite part of our two weeks in Italy! Casa Al Poggio was our Tuscan home away from home. We went and did all the things… Florence, Cinque Terre, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, etc. But coming “home” to this place was the best. So peaceful and picturesque looking across the valley at the Badia Di Passignano. We cooked many meals in the well stocked kitchen and my husband loved the rustic BBQ. Fresh herbs in the garden and the smell of jasmine blooming on the patio. Book yourself extra time here…you won’t want to leave! Emanuele & Tamara are the kindest people. Take them up on all of their restaurant recommendations. Everyone one was a hit! We can’t wait to go back.

We vonden onze airbnb schitterend! Antonella is een top host! Ze gaf ons leuke tips en was heel bereikbaar. De ligging was heel goed, we hebben vele leuke steden/stadjes bezocht en Colle di Val d'Elsa is mooi en heeft heel vriendelijke lokale inwoners 🤩😍

This place is something else! The views, the pool, the houses, the interior - it’s something else. We stayed with our 18 month old and had such a happy time - surrounded by nature in such gorgeous accommodation and a kiddy kitchen / toys which were perfect for Otis. It’s simply beautiful and Martina is so helpful - highly recommend with a family or groups of friends for a zen and unique time. Close to lots of gorgeous places and Martina has wonderful recommendations. Only watch out is the 2km dirt track road to get to the location but it’s 100% worth it and quite fun! Enjoy - we can’t wait to come back :)

6/5 – Wohlfühlwohnung mit traumhafter Aussicht und herzlichen Gastgebern Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in dieser gemütlich-rustikal eingerichteten Ferienwohnung. Die persönliche Note sorgt für eine warme Atmosphäre – man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Die Küche war bestens ausgestattet, das Bett sehr bequem, und alles war sauber und gepflegt. Ein Highlight war die Terrasse mit dem liebevoll angelegten Garten. Abends konnten wir dort herrlich den Sonnenuntergang genießen – der Blick über das Tal war traumhaft. Die Lage ist ruhig, aber ideal für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Besonders hervorzuheben sind Maurizio und Stefania: Sie waren außergewöhnlich zuvorkommend, immer erreichbar und haben sehr schnell auf Fragen reagiert. Man merkt, dass sie mit echter Freude Gastgeber sind – offen, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können die Wohnung uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit, Maurizio und Stefania!

Very clean Airbnb, the host left us with a bottle of wine and brownies for our arrival which was very thoughtful. The Tuscan views from the bnb was very nice.

This estate is a dream—life changing in all the best ways. From the jasmine-scented gardens and sweeping views of Siena to the beautifully restored guest suites—personally designed by Andrea, an architect and true artist—every detail felt magical. He greeted us so warmly, spent generous time sharing the estate’s history, and even gifted us a bottle of his family’s wine—which was absolutely lovely and made us feel truly welcome. The plunge pool was a refreshing retreat, and the setting was pure tranquility: birdsong, rustling leaves, and golden Tuscan sunsets. Andrea gave us a wonderful tour and shared the story behind his family’s efforts to preserve this incredible place. We adored the gentle Maremma dogs, Fiora and her puppy, Pecorino, who made us feel right at home. We were so impressed with this stay and Andrea’s efforts to preserve this very special place. Every moment here felt like a scene from a film—elegant, peaceful, and filled with soul. We can’t wait to return.

This was such an amazing stay! Very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing stay far away from the major cities. Beautiful views from everywhere! Would recommend doing their wine tour on site. It was fun, informative, and delicious! You definitely will need a car to get to this place in addition to restaurants and grocery stores. Would highly recommend this place!

Brilliant apartment, very clean and everything thing you need, just like home from home, plus extra goodies in the fridge free of charge. Walter is a great host, very responsive, and helpful. Roberto was very kind to drive us to and from the station any time we needed, such a gentleman! Thank you Walter & Roberto.

Tolle geräumige Wohnung, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Hilfreiche Informationen durch die netten Gastgeber. Ruhige Lage. 2 tolle Bäder mit Regendusche. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, auch mit vielen Kleinigkeiten, die man im Alltag gebrauchen kann. Der Garten mit dem Grill ist toll mit schönem Ausblick auf die traumhafte Landschaft mit den Weinbergen und Zypressen. Wenn man ein Baby hat, sollte man ein gutes Babyphone mit weitreichenden Verbindung mitnehmen, da der Garten ein paar Meter vom Haus entfernt liegt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen.

An amazingly peaceful property with lovely view over hills and valley. Incredible, when so close to the hustle of tourists in San Gimignano’s main streets and squares. The property is simple, elegant and timeless. We loved it. Thank you, Alberto for letting us stay.

We stayed for 5 night and enjoyed this large, well appointed two story apartment. The place was warm and inviting and was an authentic home to be a unique setting. My family enjoyed the surroundings and there was plenty of restaurants to close from. Be prepared to tackle the 52 steps to the apartment door which my 90 year old mother managed twice a day. Keeps you healthy.

Fiore all' occhiello, lo spazio esterno con pergola. Posizione comoda per visitare Volterra. Lo consiglio assolutamente

Tutto impeccabile! Proprietaria estremamente gentile e disponibile: ha anticipato il check-in di qualche ora e ci ha permesso di rimanere oltre l’orario di check-out. Ci ha accolti davanti all’appartamento, mostrandoci casa e dandoci ottimi consigli anche per visitare la zona. La casa era pulitissima, in cucina non mancava nulla: da utensili, piatti, olio, sale, caffe..disponeva di ogni cosa! Appartamento spazio, balcone grande e molto accogliente! Consiglierò questa soluzione a tutti quelli che passeranno per Poggibonsi!

Great stay, everything is in walking distance 5 minutes to busses and trains. Apartment was beautiful loved sitting outside in the courtyard. Eugenia was super helpful and friendly, definitely recommend.

This place is great, I strongly recommend it. The hosts are also amazing. We stayed while doing a bike trip around Tuscany and the hosts allowed us to store our bikes in their garage.

Können wir absolut empfehlen ! Ist alles so wie im Text beschrieben und auf den Foto´s zu sehen. Liegt ca 2 km außerhalb vom total schnuckeligen Örtchen Casole de Elsa. Von Andrea + Barbara gab´s alle nötigen Infos zur Anreise und viele tolle Tipps vor Ort, immer mit den dazugehörigen Links. Zum Beispiel verzögerte sich unsere Anreise verkehrsbedingt auf ca. 22:15 Uhr. War kein Problem, wir standen in Kontakt und als wir ankamen, hat uns Andrea persönlich in Empfang genommen. Und wenn wir während unseres Aufenthaltes eine Frage hatten, kam immer sehr zügig eine Antwort. (Wo man in Siena am Besten parken kann, wie gelangt man am Besten nach Florenz, ...)
