Wir hatten mit unseren Kindern eine tolle Zeit bei Antonio! Das gesamte Anwesen (inkl. dem Pool) ist super schön und sehr gepflegt - so ist auch das Haus indem wir uns extrem wohlgefühlt haben. Antonio war jederzeit erreichbar und hat uns mit wertvollen Tipps rund um Volterra versorgt. Wir können einen Aufenthalt uneingeschränkt empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

Un de nos meilleurs séjours assurément !!!! Mattéo est un hôte très aidant et prévenant. La maison est juste un petit bijou au sommet de cette colline...une vue sur un paysage Toscan très inspirant du côté de la piscine (qui est une très jolie piscine)...bien que partagée nous avons été toujours seuls à en profiter !! La terrasse où l'on prenait nos repas est très agréable avec ces fortes chaleurs. La situation de la maison permet de rayonner dans la Toscane...Lucca, Sienna, Volterra, San Gimignano....et nous avons pu pousser jusqu'au Jardin des Tarots de Niki de Saint Phalle. Nous recommandons fortement un séjour chez Mattéo...et pensons y retourner une autre fois.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Angela, Luigi und seine Frau waren sehr nett und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und hat ein wunderschöner Pool mit grandiosen Ausblick. Auf der Anlage gibt es Hunde, welcher aber sehr ruhig und zutraulich sind. Angela hat sofort auf Anfragen reagiert.

How can we even put into words what an incredible experience this was! Antonella was kind and helpful, and her home is just stunning. She made us feel so at home even with our limited Italian. She prepared us a home cooked, four-course meal one night and it was absolutely delicious. She even gave us the leftovers so we could have them for breakfast the next day. The villa was breathtaking and in a perfect location to visit beautiful towns in Tuscany like Pienza, Montepulciano and San Gimignano. We especially loved the pool and visiting with the animals. This was a bucket list stay for us and worth every penny!

We stayed 5 amazing days at Il Gufo and loved every minute. Jacopo is an amazing host and went out of his way throughout to make our stay great. Even meeting us locally and showing us the way to the house. We highly recommend staying at The Owl. The location, high in a valley provides spectacular views and is perfect to relax and unwind. We do not know what was better. The location, accommodations or the fact that we met Jacopo and became immediate friends. That combination made for the greatest memories. Also Luba, their beautiful dog, immediately loved us and greeted us ever time we returned. A little secret, he is an amazing chef and if you get a chance to go to his restaurant do it. Also his dinner recommendations were great. We had dinner at Corte Dei Frati 2 times. Thank you Jacopo for making our 30th Anniversary trip so amazing. We feel privileged to have met you and we will return on our next trip to Italy. You are an amazing person and host. Love Steve & Vicki

I don’t have the words to describe how beautiful this apartment on the hillside is. The apartment itself is nice and cosy and spacious, and the kitchen contains a little bottle of olive oil produced from their own olives. But it is the location, the gardens and the little farm and the view across the valley which can take your breath away. Sonia is happy and welcoming and patient. She showed us around the wine and olive farm and was always approachable when we contacted her. There are two guest apartments side by side, but it is quite private nonetheless. Note that you can hear sounds from the other apartment quite easily. I cannot recommend this enough! Would love to come back.

This home is the epitome of a classic villa in the chianti region. Lecchi is very a small village that is walkable to a market, bar & cafe, and one of the best dinner spots we visited in our entire trip to Italy - the Malborghetto restaurant is a must! We rented a car for this week of our trip, and would highly recommend doing so. There are many nearby villages with great trattorias and shopping options - and gorgeous views everywhere you turn. Casa di Lyndall is a roomy, well appointed home with all the amenities you could need. Very clean, and very comfortable, and the view out the front windows is beyond compare. Lyndall was very responsive and provided us with excellent recommendations of things to do during our stay. Clementina greeted us when we arrived and was so sweet and helpful. There is nothing we would change about our stay!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt wirklich sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wieder bei Maria buchen. Wir sind mit kleinem Kind gereist und alles war top und bestens ausgestattet. Maria war immer sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und gut erreichbar. Alles war genauso wie beschrieben und erwartet. Der private Pool hat das ganze für uns abgerundet, es war herrlich! Klare Weiterempfehlung!

Wirklich sehr schöne Unterkunft und dickes Dankeschön an Camilla die sich um alles kümmert. Bei uns zum Beispiel um die Reservierung eine Tennisplatzes. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

This house is the perfect place for two families traveling together. It’s incredibly cozy, thoughtfully designed, and fully equipped with amenities that let you truly enjoy the beauty of the Tuscan countryside. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The hosts went above and beyond — welcoming us with fresh fruit, traditional sweets, bottled water, coffee, milk, and a selection of Tuscan wines, which we truly appreciated. They also provided high-quality Italian hygiene products, which added a thoughtful and luxurious touch to our stay. One of the highlights for us was the host’s responsiveness. Communication was always fast, helpful, and friendly — a detail that made a big difference. We didn’t get a chance to use the private pool due to our tight schedule, but the property still gave us a real sense of independence, comfort, and safety. I 100% recommend this property. It’s a peaceful, beautiful place — perfect for relaxing, connecting with nature, and creating memories

Stella nos recebeu muito bem, foi simpática e prestativa. A casa estava muito limpa e organizada. O espaço e aconchegante. O lugar é extraordinário, muito bonito, com natureza exuberante e uma vista maravilhosa. Stella recomendou lugares para visitar e restaurantes da região que gostamos muito. Somente elogios, nenhuma reclamação.

Our stay at Villa Di Scopicci was delightful. Anna was responsive in giving us good directions to getting to the villa and best ways to travel. Upon arrival, she greeted us and showed us the villa and gave us details about the home. My husband and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary and wanted to come to Tuscany. This villa provided the beautiful landscape we were hoping for, some starry nights, and the quiet we had been seeking. Sometimes we weren’t sure if we were still hearing it was so quiet! The wind, the birds, the rain…that was our soundtrack. The kitchen had this Downtown Abbey kind of feel to it as the house is so old as does the masterful staircase to the upstairs. The view outside the kitchen window while eating and doing dishes and the view from our bedroom balcony are images I will always remember. Such lovely gardens! We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful accommodation in Tuscany. The views are stunning, and the property includes a small, fenced garden, which was perfect for our dog. There's also a large pool available to all guests, which was a huge plus. Having a car is a must. The location is ideal for visiting local spots like Siena, San Gimignano, and Val d’Orcia. The host provides a fantastic guidebook with recommendations, and we were never disappointed by any of the places he suggested. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals, and we enjoyed relaxing dinners in the garden under the lights. Overall, it's a cozy and comfortable place, perfect for a Tuscan vacation

excellent place for a short visit to Volterra. 10 min walk to the historic city centre. clean and quiet. very narrow staircase to the upper floor.

Such a wonderful gem of a place to stay. Views were top notch and all within walking to our favorite dinner restaurants and town center. Just an amazing experience and location. Rossana was a great host- very communicative. She decorated her place with really nice special touches. We will return!

alloggio molto grande e in una posizione perfetta: tranquilla ma centrale. Casa fornita di tutto ciò che serve compreso il caffè. Volterra è anche il punto di partenza perfetto per visitare i dintorni, spesso più affollati e turistici. (e abbiamo sempre mangiato benissimo) Francesco è stato un host amichevole e disponibile a darci tutto l' aiuto necessario e ad accertarsi che il soggiorno andasse per il meglio.

Soggiornare da Virginia e la sua famiglia è stata un’esperienza meravigliosa che porterò nel cuore. L’alloggio è immerso nella splendida campagna senese. La casa è curata in ogni dettaglio, pulitissima, accogliente e dotata di tutto il necessario per sentirsi a casa, con quel tocco rustico e autentico che rende l’atmosfera davvero speciale. Gentili, disponibili e sempre pronti a offrire consigli sui luoghi da visitare, ristoranti tipici e attività nei dintorni. Il silenzio e la tranquillità del luogo permettono di rilassarsi completamente, ma allo stesso tempo la posizione è strategica per visitare Siena, la Val d’Orcia e tanti altri borghi incantevoli della Toscana. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca un soggiorno autentico, a contatto con la natura e la vera ospitalità toscana.

first I love his neighbors who checked us in. Cinzia was amazing. She not only showed us our place but took our kids to show us her farm. she also makes her own olive oil and gifted us with some! Wonderful Italian neighbors!! I contacted Rocky in advance and he provided me with specific recommendations for where we should go during a long drive we took. we went where he suggested and was not disappointed! Amazing quiet location with great near by wineries. would 100% recommend to everyone!

Very easy to find and close to funicular that ran every 30 minutes on schedule. At least 5 restaurants for lunch and dinner. Small store for basics. Terrace facing northeast was wonderful in the morning. Umbrellas for shade if needed. Washer with folding clothesline to dry inside or out. We only used the main bedroom and bath - both on second floor. Very nice. The second bedroom was on the second floor and second bath was in the basement - did not use those spaces or the sitting room in walkout basement. Kitchen stocked with basics for electric coffee maker (a bit noisy) and hand brother. Gas stove for heating milk. Toaster oven. Large grid freezer with many ice trays. Enjoyed the cat that showed up A few times. Easy 20 min walk from main train station (not Centro) to funicular. Main station also had many bus connections like to Grotta Giusti but only to swim in outdoor pool. You can’t swim in the cave - too bad. Would love to come back.

We loved our stay here! The house and the views were truly as picturesque as it seems in the photos. A dream spot! The town itself is full of local flair and is beautiful too. Not touristy at all. Close enough to nearby towns though to explore more of Tuscany! Overall a great stay and Laura was a kind and responsive host.

The area is incredible, peaceful and the view spectacular. Asciano has the delightful charm of an Italian village. The people were friendly and welcoming. Even got greeted by their local police who offered up their number in case we needed anything. I felt safe, and it felt as if I lived there for years. I’d say this is a piece of heaven on earth. Bellezza maestosa! Non vedo l'ora di visitare di nuovo la Toscana e la città di Asciano! Grazie!

Die Unterkunft ist paradiesisch. das Haus, der Garten, die Aussicht, die vielen Details waren für uns umwerfend. Es ist ein sehr besonderer Ort und in jedem Winkel ist die jahrhundertealte Geschichte spürbar. Gastgeber Thomas und seine Söhne sind unglaublich gastfreundlich, wir hatten viele inspirierende Gespräche. Danke! Der Aufenthalt bleit unvergesslich und wir hoffen, bald wieder dort zu sein.

Onwijs fijn appartement dat goed koel blijft tijdens warme dagen. Uitzicht vanaf het prive terras was adembenemend en het appartement was smetteloos schoon. Alles behalve een weegschaal om de koffer te wegen was aanwezig, echter die was binnen een half uur geleend van de ontzettend vriendelijke eigenaresse (die overigens olijfolie en honing van eigen kweek aanbiedt).

I had a wonderful stay at Gilberto’s place and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The house is very comfortable to live in, well-equipped with everything you might need, and pleasantly warm inside, which made it feel very cozy. The internet is fast (30-40 mb/s) and stable, perfect for remote work. The bed was incredibly comfortable — I slept so well during my stay! Gilberto and his family are truly lovely people, always kind, helpful, and quick to respond to any message or question. It’s also a great location for trips to San Gimignano or Volterra, and there’s a very tasty restaurant right in the village (Tre Archi), which is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend this place — it’s one of those stays that will stay in your memory for a long time, not only because of the beautiful home but also thanks to the warmth and hospitality of the wonderful family hosting it.
