Here you can experience the Knausen cabin, which was built in 1940 and has retained most of its original character. Here the beds are built into the rooms, there is no Wi-Fi and dishes must be washed by hand. However, the location can bring peace of mind with beautiful lake views of Ålfjorden, a large property with a lot of natural land, access to the beach, fishing and a short distance to Ølen, Etne, Odda/Trolltunga, Haugesund and Karmøy.

Otertong outdoor area right next door. Between Stavanger and Bergen/Hardanger. 30 min to Haugesund, 1 h 50 min to Odda (Hardanger and Trolltunga). Rented out for the first time in 2026.

Welcome to our cozy cabin located on Molnes by Skåneviksfjorden. Here you can enjoy the days in calm surroundings with nature close by, either in and by the cabin or by using the amazing nature that surrounds the cabin. The cabin has recently been completely renovated and contains a living room and kitchen in one, 3 bedrooms with room for 6 - 8 people, bathroom, basement with washing machine, internet and TV. There is easy access by car all the way to the door.

Centrally located in Sandeid with a short distance to good fishing and swimming opportunities, play areas, shops and cafe. There are also a number of hiking opportunities/ top tours in the nearby area. Sandeid is located about 50 km east of Haugesund and about 110 km north of Stavanger.

Furthermore, the quiet surroundings make it magical when you take a bath in the jacuzzi while watching the sunset. We highly recommend a hike to Himakånå. It is also possible to take a day trip to the Pulpit Rock.

Ølen is a good starting point for day trips to nearby tourist attractions, like Folgefonna glacier, Trolltunga in Odda, Langfoss & Låtefoss waterfall, Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) or excellent skiing options! The house owners are very helpful in planning your trips.
