Farmstay holiday rentals in Vila Real District

We had a great stay in the "Casa da Mata". Lost in the heart of the winery and on the edge of the forest, this house full of old-fashioned charm, well renovated and comfortable, is perfect. Every room has a beautiful view! But the best view is from the terrace where we had all our meals. We also loved our interaction with Fernanda, the best host you could hope for. And his kitchen is a delight! Fernanda feasted us with good garden products, fig tomatoes & eggs.. And very good bread, brought every morning!!! We can only thank her again for her kindness. We will keep in mind this beautiful week perched on the heights of the Douro for a long time. I forgot: the pool and common areas also added a nice plus value to this week.

The super nice complex is an oasis in the somewhat bustling environment of the city of Vila Real. Ins and their people are very friendly and extremely nice without being intrusive. Fresh bread is brought to the house every morning, great service, also the daily cleaning of the bungalow is very pleasant. The garden surfaces are very well maintained, the pool is cleaned daily, the water is super clear and refreshing. Our bungalow was more spacious than it looked in the pictures and wonderfully cool due to the thick granite walls even at 33 degrees outside temperature. The excursion tips are lovingly drawn and well thought through. All in all, four of us had a wonderful week at Ines. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and it was nice having two bathrooms. The patio was nice to enjoy too with great views all around. We had a car with us and we're able to park it across the street in an off street parking space. Julio was kind to give us a quick talk about the region and a taste of his delicious port wine.

Beautiful farm and house! Being able to wander the farm and pick fresh produce to cook was a highlight. If you’re looking to stay out in the country visiting Amarante, this is wonderful!

A fabulous place to stay, even though nearby houses, it felt very private and peaceful. The house & pool had beautiful views, the bed was very comfortable. Thank you

Quinta Do Rapozinho is a beautiful place located in a former traditional northern farm. We had a bit of a struggle to find the place, arriving late at night didn’t help 😞. My advice is to write the name of the place on your satnav ( even if you are using your mobile like I did). The place itself is amazing, peaceful and all the staff is very friendly and helpful. Amazing location with stunning views and cows on the field some days. They work really hard to make you feel comfortable. The breakfast is varied and very tasty with plenty of home made butter, yoghurt and cake.Cheese, ham,granola, etc. We tried both,in the breakfast room and delivered to the room and they are equally delicious. We stayed in the Casa do Palheiro it’s cosy, warm and rustic in a good way. Our son and girlfriend joined us over the weekend and the space was plenty big for four adults,if you are looking for a taste of local history this is the place.

The apartment is comfortable and with everything you need to live there in comfort. Franz is a kind, helpful, and discreet host. He gave us the opportunity to use his pool given the heat of those days, to eat the grapes he grows and the lemons. We rarely had such a good time. We also had the company of his very nice cat Tom who occasionally came to say hello to us. The house is in a location away from the chaos of the city and offers an enchanting landscape. You need a car to get around.

Amazing stay with an even more amazing host🥹. I have to highlight Inês' friendliness and availability from start to finish. The space is exactly what it promises: calm, relaxing and unique! With many nooks and crannies to discover, friendly animals, an incredible pool and nature in its purest form! We couldn't find a place that would allow our dog to enter the pool and Quinta da Emília allowed it and made Joca's experience even better! In addition, we were also able to receive family, including our 2-year-old godson, who also took great advantage of everything the farm has to offer 😊 ahh! We still "stole" some peaches to bring as a souvenir 🤭 It was amazing and we highly recommend it!!! 😁 A huge thank you to Inês ❤️

Great hosts make a stay fantastic. Puri and Paulo are certainly the greatest hosts we have encountered ever. They elevate their quiet and peaceful apartment by their incredible generosity and friendliness. We arrived late afternoon to a welcome plate of local meats and cheeses all of which were delicious and the best that we have had on our visit to Portugal. We were expecting to have to find a local restaurant for dinner - however Puri had a roast chicken ready for us due to the late arrival! A proper free range country chicken - full of flavour. The fridge was stocked with breakfast items including lovelly fresh fruit and jams made by their small company - some of the best blueberry jam I have ever eaten. Paulo very kindly found a winery visit that was open (during harvest) and booked it for us and suggested some view pionts we should visit. Quanta Terra is in a must see building with great wines and a perfect host. Saddly that we only could stay 2 nights - we will be back.

Great stay with our two dogs! The scenery is beautiful. The house full of stories. The pool is a real plus. The neighborhood is very friendly. There are two many walks to do in the area and many with swimming nooks. We recommend 100%!

Carla was very responsive to any issues we had. Very helpful and friendly despite the language differences. Casa Sophia is a perfect as a base for exploring the northern region of Portugal.

Beautiful apartment in a stunning location. Wonderful beds and linen. Pool was very well kept and great for a refreshing dip. Hosts were very friendly and had great recomendations. The view across the valley was outstanding. Short drive to Pinhao. The owners offered us their own wine and port which was delicious.

Lovely peaceful stay. Was met by Lisete's lovely Dad on check in and he was very friendly. Brought us bottles of his own wine to enjoy and some port. Lisete was always very responsive to all our questions. The views are amazing and it's the outdoor space along with the fantastic pool that make this house. Kids really enjoyed it. Lovely to sit out at night and admire the views and enjoy the peace and quiet. The inside of the house is exactly as described and met all our needs. We spent very little time indoors as weather was fantastic. A car is definitely needed as the house is remote. Lots of areas to explore. Amarante is particularly nice. Overall a fantastic stay in a lovely home. Highly recommend if you want to switch off and just relax. Thanks to you both for a wonderful stay.

La Quinta is located in a beautiful quiet environment. It has air conditioning and a very nice terrace for breakfast. It's the perfect place to rest, hike in the natural park or take a trip to the Douro Valley about 40 minutes away by car. Ana is very available and has good tips for finding activities in the surroundings.

Amazing location with incredible views. Beautiful property with great interior design and well chosen artwork, sympathetic to the original school. Thanks to Tania and Carla for the care and attention and for the outstanding breakfast each day. And for doing a shop for us on the first day before our arrival. We would definitely recommend the chef at home meal. Great food and service by the guys with traditional Portuguese dishes on offer. Fantastic stay; we didn’t want to leave….ever! Outstanding! Beautifully furnished, clean house equipped with everything you need. The location is extremely quiet, so you have the feeling of being the only house in the area. The complex is very well maintained and the pool is large enough for swimming. Communication with Carla is straightforward and friendly, we always felt we could turn to her if we had problems. We enjoyed every second and there is nothing to complain about. If we choose Portugal again, the accommodation and Carla will be our first choice again.

Little gem lost in the mountains. It takes a little drive to get to Quinta do Réal but it deserves a little effort. Friendly welcome and perfect place to rest.

Beautiful house by the lake, in a very peaceful village. Had a wonderful stay with my girlfriend and we couldn't be happier!

I can't say enough about how incredible this Airbnb was, Carla and her property were so beyond expectations. My family and I felt extremely comfortable there, it is remote but absolutely beautiful. We were not able to use the pool, because the weather was a little bit cold. I jumped in for like 20 minutes and even though it was cold it was very nice. Carla was so communicative the entire time we were there, she made lots of helpful suggestions and helped us to book a tour around the Douro Valley and surrounding areas. She and a friend also cooked us breakfast every morning, which was delicious and helped us to start our day. 10 out of 10, I would absolutely return.

Ana was a great host, the apartment was fully stocked and had so many special additions, like meat, cheese, and bread, fruit, eggs, and other breakfast foods in the pantry. Fresh bread on the door in the morning!! Wine in the refrigerator😃 Pinhao is great to explore and be a homebase. It was wonderful to relax on the balcony and play cards in the living room after a long day of fun.

This was just the perfect getaway spot for our family. Everyone was happy. There was plenty space both indoors and outdoors. The pool was terrific with plenty toys for kids. The forest was available to us and was safe and had stunning views from all sides of the house. We felt very relaxed and enjoyed the bbq space and had shade during the hot days also. Maria and Nester keep Devon veg gardens and we enjoyed freshly squeezed orange juice from the trees! It really was very special and we hope to return.
