Waterfront holiday rentals in Vila do Bispo

We had a pleasant stay. The listing matches the listing in every way. It is spacious, well-equipped. It is very well located, close to a beach. Private parking is an asset in this tourist area. The only small downside is that the area is very windy (at the end of August). We recommend Paula and her listing 😁

We enjoyed the location and the view. If you love cats this is the place to be as well, as there are many, free roaming, friendly felines. We enjoyed being in a small town but easily could travel to the other towns by car. Also there were many restaurant choices. Be advised it is bare bones as far as supplies, no tissues, paper towels etc. and limited number of towels were provided.

Having stayed locally many times we were thrilled to be based in the midst of it all in Salema. Emma’s place is fabulous. Huge balcony looking out over rooftops and the sea. We were so happy with the view and to hear the waves. Very peaceful. We will be returning to this apartment, we can’t imagine finding somewhere as good at such a reasonable price. Thank you Emma! Great apartment in a great location (supermarket around the corner, 15 minutes' walk to the sea) with great amenities. The pool is large and there were always loungers available. Overall, the apartment is highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our stay. So much to see around the area with great beaches and landscapes full of colour while we were there. Jean-Louis and Helena were very friendly and helpful with good recommendations.

We stayed here on our honeymoon and it was perfect! Super comfortable, lots of space to relax, well decorated and had everything we needed. The hot tub was not hot when we arrived and took longer to heat up than expected, do put the heat right up and allow a good few hours before you want to use it. But absolutely heavenly to have it, used it every day! Burgau is a beautiful town, we came in April and it was the perfect level of lively but not crowded. Recommend the coast path for gorgeous walks from the apartment, and also Love Burgau restaurant for vegan (and non vegan!) pizza. The host was super responsive and very friendly.

A calm, the feeling of being alone in the world. A very welcoming, clean, tidy house. Warm and caring welcome. A terrace with a magnificent and magical view! A gem!

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in Nan and Sue's very cozy and top equipped house. We love to cook and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Including hand blender! The furnishings are very cozy. We felt extremely comfortable and will definitely come back. The area ( end of January) is very quiet. The village no longer offers a shop, which can be compensated with shopping in the neighboring village.

We had a super stay in Salema. The house was the perfect location. Bathroom new refurbishment great plenty of hot water. Downstairs toilet a bonus. kitchen well equipped. lighting update required downstairs The furnishings in the lounge requires more comfort a new sofa and wall hangings. We shall be back thank you Joaná. It worked so well for the 3 of us. The outside space perfect for meals as we love cooking as vegans. View *****

Loved our stay at Raúl‘s place! Such a beautiful house that felt homey and personal but also spacious and welcoming. Great big living room and kitchen and the terrace and garden was a plus too! Location in Vila do bispo was also perfect ! Would come again and recommend warmly :)

The space is simply indescribable! We couldn't have had a better time. Anna has furnished the accommodation so lovingly, minimalist and tastefully. A dream! We felt more than comfortable as a family of four and enjoyed the 10 days very much. Everything was super clean, the washing machine very helpful and everything you need was available. The terrace was our highlight with the large dining table and outdoor shower. We were welcomed with fresh flowers and a wine. The place could not have been more perfect from the location, everything can be reached soon and the dream beaches are right outside the door. Anna's recommendations for beaches/ restaurants etc. were very helpful and more than great! Everything was very quiet and relaxed, the parking situation sometimes a bit challenging due to the street, but easily doable with some practice. A great recommendation for Anna's lovingly furnished Airbnb! We will definitely be back.

The space is simple and convenient. The terrace and the view of the sea are outstanding, in the morning, at noon, in the evening and at night, simply beautiful. The beach can be reached on foot in 10 minutes, provided you are reasonably good on foot (small children and elderly people rather not, as it is steep downhill). The access is 2 km a bit bumpy, but with a normal car it is quite possible, but not advisable from a sports car. Two restaurants within walking distance (Zavial and Ingrina, 30 or 40 min), plenty of restaurants by car <15 min.

An amazing location and beautiful home with lots of extra amenities. It’s about a 16 minute walk to the busy parts of Lagos (which isn’t much walking at all in Portugal), and the apartment itself is absolutely stunning. Veronica was wonderful to communicate with, giving recommendations and responding quickly to any questions we had. The pool was an awesome bonus too! I truly felt the culture of Lagos in this neighbourhood and I have zero complaints!

We weren’t disappointed when we walked through the door, stunning! The views of the river and marina are next to none, loved watching the little egret, storks, grey heron and even a blue heron! Miguel and Liv were attentive, making sure we had settled. The marina is full of fish and so clean. Very easy walking distance to fab restaurants and old town. We will definitely return. :)

Bruno’s place was exactly what was advertised. 10 minute walk to one of the best beaches in Europe and 10 minutes to city center. Perfect for my family and our short trip to Lagos. Bruno communicated daily and gave some tips about what to do in Lagos. Overall a great stay and would book again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kasia's place. Kasia was extremely helpful with providing us with invaluable information regarding things to do and places to go whilst in Lagos. We would definitely stay there again.

Delighted: location & pool and view from the balcony (very private). Bolt from train / town €3-5. Apartment is basic, outdoor furniture looks new. Marcos & Elaine take pride & care of the apartment . Elaine baked Pastel de Nata, truly the best I’ve had to date in Portugal. The only frustration, advertising a coffee maker, and not say it requires “special sized coffee pods” or where to get them. I specifically asked at check in about the pods, Marcos agreed they were there, neither one of us looked in the box. An hour later, noticed only a few pods & I messaged Marco showing him a photo & he said that was all they provide for the Welcome Gift, no advice of “how or where” to get more pods. This is very disappointing, advertisement with photo of a proper coffee maker for the duration of paid stay yet guest can’t use the coffee maker the entire stay. Also saying that there is “Instant” coffee provided is not acceptable. Restaurant downstairs has real coffee, felt like being at a hotel.

We loved staying at Marlene's place! The location can't be beat. The views were amazing and we enjoyed the easy access to the beach and the walking trails along the cliffs. We found the walk to town totally doable (10-15mins) with also a few restaurants even closer (Mar, Luca's rooftop, etc.). The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

Vitor’s place was great. Very near to everything in Lagos. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had all the supplies we needed! The parking garage was clutch as well. There are not many places to park in that area.

Rosa’s place was great and exactly as described. Very short distance to beach and town (~15 min). She had recommendations which we appreciated. Check-in was easy. The place was as described and Rosa was super communicative. We encountered some issues after checkin and Rosa handled them immediately, which was so appreciated!! The place was super clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for an amazing stay, Rosa!
