The house is located in the Lucchese countryside, in the Carignano area, in the middle of the Tuscan countryside, but at the same time close to the city center and all services. The old farmhouse has been divided into eight individual apartments, each with its own exclusive garden, as well as a large common park with a swimming pool shared with the guests of the other apartments. Being in the countryside, the access road is very characteristic but narrow and unpaved (suitable for any type of vehicle).

La Castagna - a special place in the mountains

Come experience the beauty of "il dolce far niente" set against the mountain backdrop of Vico Pancellorum. La Castagna is a renovated cantina located in the centre of the village surrounded by Chestnut forest and stunning views. It can accomodate up to 2 people and comes with a seperate entrance, a small kitchen and a modern bathroom. Perfect for someone in search of tranquillity, foodies, nature lovers and adventure seekers and is an easy 45 min drive from the historical walled town of Lucca.

We are 200 meters from the medieval walls and the historic center can be reached in a few minutes on foot. We are located in a very quiet residential area, but very close to shops and a pharmacy. The house is fully air conditioned with split in both bedrooms and in the kitchen. It is our custom to provide the house with a welcome kit for the needs of the first few days, so that our guests can provide for their needs without urgency. The Arches - a beautifully renovated apartment

'The Arches' is a beautiful, traditional Garfagnana home. The building is around 500 years old, and is thought to be at the very heart of the original Cardoso, with the village growing around this centre over the next few centuries. Recently restored, the house has many original features, including wooden beams, terracotta tiles and its two distinctive arches. Quality features complement this history in the form of two modern bathrooms, central heating and a contemporary kitchen.
