In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and Amazon Fire TV (Magenta TV). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

The author and artist Gunnar Brusewitz lived here and studied Tåkern and its nature in the spring of 1940. Cozy log cabin by Lake Sommen. Excellent for those of you who want to get out to the quiet and unwind from everyday stress. Quiet location with the wild nature around you. 150 meters behind the cottage is a barbecue area and a beautiful view of Lake Sommen. Nice forest areas with walking paths and hiking trails for mushroom and berry picking. Great chance to see a lot of wildlife such as deer, moose, fox and even sea eagle. 500 meters walk to the steamboat harbor, swimming area and fishing.

By car, it takes about 20 minutes to Tiveden National Park with hiking trails and fantastic nature. The house is 110 square meters and fully equipped. Good WiFi. An oasis!

Tivedens National Park is close as well as the long sandy beach Harjebaden. The house was completed in autumn 2018 and has all amenities.

Guest house on farm between Vadstena and Omberg

Welcome to our guest house on our farm, which is located in the middle of Vadstenaslätten next to Vättern. Here, you are close to Vadstena with medieval environments, castles, monasteries, cozy little shops and restaurants. South of us is Omberg, which is also one of Östergötland's most visited excursion destinations. The bird lake Tåkern is located east of the farm. There's plenty to see and experience.
