Monthly Rentals in Vatersay

Great place to stay and discover the Uists. The shepherd's hut was cosy and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay at the Caravan. It is walkable to restaurants, local shops and groceries and close to the ferry terminal. The view out the expansive windows to the castle and the harbor were beautiful. Sheep and birds were the only sounds to break the quiet. We were most lucky to have an introduction from Loraine to someone who helped us locate our Barra ancestors and show us around to places important to their lives. It was very special.

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful house, 10 mins walk from the beach. Tastefully furnished, super comfortable beds and a very well equipped kitchen. Everyone was very friendly and we bought cakes daily from the cake hut next door. We hired bikes from the community centre in Castlebay, and walked the Vatersay Trail. We swam in the cold, still waters at Vatersay beach. And we watched planes land on the beach at Barra airport. A memorable stay in beautiful surroundings.

It was lovely to meet Michelle. She was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. The pod could not have been any better. Absolutely pristine. Well designed and equipped. Gorgeous location too. We did drive past it at first but we did that at our previous location too, so might be us?😂
