The house is an absolutely charming combination of old & rustic with tasteful decorations and modern amenities. The design of place is really smart and well considered. It is located in a really, really quiet spot and is very peaceful and beautiful. The closest town (Mogadouro) is maybe a 15 minute drive away. And there are lots of places to visit in the area by car. Rui is a great host. Responsive and helpful. We were looking for a place to stay with our dog to escape the fireworks during the São João celebrations in our part of Portugal. Rui assured us we would have a peaceful time at his place and he was 100% right.

I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

Beautiful house with everything I needed. Immaculate and comfortable. Patrícia is a wonderful host, kind and thoughtful. Nothing was too much trouble, she was eager to make sure my stay was perfect. I would totally recommend staying here if you want time away from it all or a base to explore the area.
