Fishing licences must be purchased when fishing in rivers or water. One kayak and two paddle boards are available for free use. Boat hire is available in the area. Bed linen is included. If you want to do other things, it's a 30-minute drive to Voss town centre.

In winter, the lake is often suitable for ice skating. The surrounding mountains offer beautiful hiking trails, including the popular route to Vetlevarden at Storfjella, starting just outside the front door. At the end of the lake you’ll find the impressive Hesjedalfossen waterfall, only a 20-minute drive away. A free canoe is available for guests.
