Fishing licences must be purchased when fishing in rivers or water. One kayak and two paddle boards are available for free use. Boat hire is available in the area. Bed linen is included. In winter, the lake is often suitable for ice skating. The surrounding mountains offer beautiful hiking trails, including the popular route to Vetlevarden at Storfjella, starting just outside the front door. At the end of the lake you’ll find the impressive Hesjedalfossen waterfall, only a 20-minute drive away. A free canoe is available for guests.

The young girls lived up here with the cows in the summer pasture and carried the milk down to the farms every day. You reach the cabin within a medium easy 1 h hike from the road, where half of the hike is on a gravelly road and the rest in forest. Use shoes for off road hiking in nature. There are fantastic hiking opportunities with stunning views, and several lakes for fishing in the immediate area.
