Over 100 years old stockhouse in a little village in the archipelago of Maxmo in Vöyri. The atmosphere is calm and quiet in the village. The place is 10 km from the local center and 40 km from the city center of Vaasa, the capital of the Pohjanmaa/Österbotten county. The region is about 50:50 bilingual finnish-swedish speaking, but the archipelago is nearly 100 % Swedish speaking. Many people speak both languages. English is a common foreign language. You get by with english very well.

A fresh and cosy guest house with a sauna, with a nice sea view, located in a bay in the archipelago of Maxmo ca ½ h drive from Vaasa. For 2 adults (not suitable for children, but small infants possible). It is very well equipped and located only 15 m from the shore line. Two older bikes available for our guests. Suitable for use all around the year (electrical floor heating and A/C). The hosts are availible most of the time, and speak English, Swedish and Finnish.

Small guesthouse with sauna on the countryside

Booked on the same night and arrived at the property in the evening. It was easy to find. Turning into the yard opened up a wonderful garden and the cottage exceeded expectations. The cat came to greet us right away, even in the living room. The sauna had gentle steam. Toys for a 3-year-old were found outside and the twins were able to lower themselves to the cottage floor to play. The cottage had all the necessary dishes and necessities for cooking. We slept well at night. Thanks for this experience. Full 5 stars.

We had a nice two-night stay at the cottage. The cottage was as described and in its own peace. We felt welcome. The children especially enjoyed the nudity and watched the waders on the beach. The bedrooms were pleasant to sleep in and the blackout curtains were really good! The kitchen had everything you needed. The indoor shower was necessary for our group. Unfortunately, we did not have time to test the yard sauna. The Orisberg church and the surrounding area seemed interesting, so there was also something to see for the next visit.
