Family-friendly holiday rentals in Vágar

First trip to Faroe Islands - wonderful welcome from our hosts with plenty of local tips. Great place to stay from which to travel all over the islands. Hot tub well used by us.

Die Unterkunft war das absolute Highlight unseres Aufenthalts auf den Faröern. Es ist wirklich einzigartig schön und die Bilder können die Schönheit der Umgebung gar nicht wiedergeben. Das Haus ist so gemütlich, authentisch und ein Ort, an dem man zur Ruhe kommt und auch direkt wohl fühlt. Leider war bei uns der Whirlpool kaputt, was uns aber rechtzeitig gesagt wurde und wir haben das Angebot bekommen, stattdessen eine Sauna direkt vor das Haus zu bekommen. Das war wirklich so toll! Hans & Bina sind sehr freundlich, super hilfsbereit und antworten sehr schnell :) wir würden allein nur wegen der Unterkunft nochmal wiederkommen. Vielen lieben Dank für diese Möglichkeit. Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute zu Hause gefühlt in dem sehr gemütlichen Häuschen. Alles war im Vorfeld klar Beschrieben worden, so war es für uns auch problemlos möglich, den HotPot mit dem bereitgestellten Holz aufzuheizen, was uns ein besonderes Badeerlebnis bis spät in die Nacht hinein ermöglichte. Jederzeit wieder!

This little cottage was absolutely perfect for our stay in the Faroe Islands. We sat and had coffee in the sunroom every morning and watched the waves. The hot tub was amazing, even with the drizzly weather. Leynar was a a calm and peaceful home base for our trip and it was easy to hop back on the highway and go wherever we needed. Everything in the house was as described and the kitchen was very useful! The beds were pretty comfy too!

Virkelig hyggeligt hjem med rigtig flot udsigt. Huset indeholdt alt, hvad vi behøvede og mere til. Vi var 10 personer over 3 generationer og der var god plads til alle. Oplysende og opmærksom værtinde.

The spot is absolutely worth visiting with a great view overlooking Tornshavn, in the middle of meadows with curious rams :) Cosy, you can feel really like at home! Also, there is a bus stop on the other side of the road. The owner is very helpful, reacting quickly - great communication. Highly recommended!

Vi havde nogle dejlige dage i Torshavn i denne bolig. Den ligger meget centralt og med kort gå afstand til centrum og gode busforbindelser. Der er en fantastisk udsigt fra lejligheden ud over Tinganes og havet, men uden at være klods op af industrihavnen. Et rigtig godt sted at bo i Torshavn.

Vi havde et skønt ophold i Gunnvás bolig. Vi følte os virkelig hjemme i de dejlige, kunstneriske omgivelser. Tórshavn centrum var desuden indenfor gåafstand. Vi kommer gerne igen!

Wunderschönes Haus mit Grasdach, genau so wie auf den Fotos. Tolle Lage, vom Flughafen leicht zu erreichen. 2 Supermärkte in der Nähe. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, der Wohn-Essbereich sehr gemütlich, die Betten in den Schlafzimmern sehr bequem. Wir sind jeden Tag nach unseren Ausflügen gerne in unser "zu Hause" zurück gekommen. Sehr empfehlenswert, wir würden wieder kommen.

We had such a wonderful stay! The location is wonderful for exploring Vagar and right near the local football pitch and beach. The house is very comfortable and makes you feel at home.

We loved our stay at Elinborg's apartment. It is very spacious and much bigger than it seems on the pictures. The kitchen is fully equipped and we felt like home. The location is very good as well! There are two supermarkets in walking distance 5-10min and also a bus stop for the 300 line to the airport. You can go on very nice walks and hikes in the area. We loved it :) Communication went very well and fast and Elinborg's husband even offered to drive us to the airport. We can definitely recommend the apartment!

Super Unterkunft, sauber und in perfekter Lage. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Unternehmungen! Sonfinnur ist ein super freundlicher Gastgeber und sehr kommunikativ. Er gab viele Tipps und spezielle Hotspots. 10/10 und somit absolute Empfehlung!

Marianna’s house in Kvívík is a comfortable place to stay in. The house feels really traditional and the village has some history which is interesting to explore. Driving around the Island and to Tórshavn was easy and buying groceries outside of Kvívík was no Problem. Also, communication with Marianna was easy and fast and she was a really friendly host. The fact that we could use the washing machine also came in quite handy.

It is very convenient to the airport, the room is warm and clean, the kitchen is full of kitchenware, the small supermarket next to you can buy a lot of things, and it is easy to go anywhere.
