Family-friendly holiday rentals in Vágar

First trip to Faroe Islands - wonderful welcome from our hosts with plenty of local tips. Great place to stay from which to travel all over the islands. Hot tub well used by us.

The accommodation was the absolute highlight of our stay in the Faroe Islands. It is really uniquely beautiful and the pictures cannot reflect the beauty of the surroundings. The house is so cozy, authentic and a place where you can relax and also feel comfortable right away. Unfortunately, the hot tub was broken, but we were told in time and we were offered a sauna directly in front of the house instead. That was really great! Hans & Bina are very friendly, super helpful and respond very quickly :) we would come back again just for the accommodation. Thanks very much for this opportunity. Best regards, Lisa & Anne

We stayed for almost 2 weeks and we never got used to the view. the house itself is very nice and has everything you need. The location is the best, both for peace and quiet and to get everywhere in Faroër.

This little cottage was absolutely perfect for our stay in the Faroe Islands. We sat and had coffee in the sunroom every morning and watched the waves. The hot tub was amazing, even with the drizzly weather. Leynar was a a calm and peaceful home base for our trip and it was easy to hop back on the highway and go wherever we needed. Everything in the house was as described and the kitchen was very useful! The beds were pretty comfy too!

We greatly enjoyed our week's stay in this delightful farm cottage. After each full day's outings, it was wonderful to return to this warm, cozy cottage with its lovely views over the hills. It is described accurately on the website, is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. Its location makes it easy to go anywhere on the islands. Tórður was a most helpful host. We would happily stay here again on a future visit.

The Turf House was great. Brighter, and more spacious than the listing would suggest, the pictures don't do it justice! I could even navigate around the first floor at 6'1" without hitting my head. Excellent proximity to a few great hikes, a couple of restaurants, groceries, and a gas station. Don't hesitate to book!

We had such a wonderful stay! The location is wonderful for exploring Vagar and right near the local football pitch and beach. The house is very comfortable and makes you feel at home.

Marianna’s house in Kvívík is a comfortable place to stay in. The house feels really traditional and the village has some history which is interesting to explore. Driving around the Island and to Tórshavn was easy and buying groceries outside of Kvívík was no Problem. Also, communication with Marianna was easy and fast and she was a really friendly host. The fact that we could use the washing machine also came in quite handy.

It is very convenient to the airport, the room is warm and clean, the kitchen is full of kitchenware, the small supermarket next to you can buy a lot of things, and it is easy to go anywhere.

What a wonderful first impression to the Faroe Islands, staying in the small quaint village. Five minutes from the airport was wonderful. The village itself was pristine as was the house. After a long day sightseeing. It was wonderful to come back to such a comfy and restful home. Thanks for hosting us. It’s a long way to come from Australia but it was worth every minute.

The apartment was very spacious and in a quiet area. We travelled with several suitcases, so the large apartment gave us a comfortable freedom with our belongings. Our contract also included a car. The car was serviced and in good condition, so exploring the archipelago with it was pleasant and effortless. The hosts were very helpful throughout the holiday and gave good advice and instructions for our day trips.
