Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Vaal River

Such a beautiful place. Fully equipped, authentically furnished and a very accommodating host, she went out of her way to make our stay special.

We were welcomed as we entered the property with real South-African hospitality! Rooms are large and have everything you need. In winter, I recommend an extra blanket! The surroundings are quiet and peaceful. The only downside is the lack of a shower in the bathroom. Thank you for hosting us!

Beautiful view from almost every room, inside is very modern , solar but also Eskom electricity on those rainy days made a big difference. Clean rooms and bathrooms Private and very safe area Few nice hikes inside the estate easily accessed from the house which was great fun Thank you for a lovely stay

It was a pleasure staying at Charmaine’s. The house is spacious, very well equipped and comfortable - a real home away from home. The garden was also a welcome distraction for the kids. I would stay there again with pleasure. Thank you for everything Charmaine and Stefan we were so grateful for the house during a difficult few days. We felt safe and comfortable.

A lovely, large and well equipped house with garden and pool within walking distance of Parkhurst restaurants and shops. A great place to stay if visiting Joburg - felt very comfortable. Hannah was very professional and friendly and we felt very at home.

This place looks stunning. Beautiful bedrooms, smart tv in all of the 3 bedrooms. Bedrooms are stunning ! The place is very clean. The 3 bathrooms are spotless. I highly recommend this place, and I am looking forward to visit again with my family

Margaret and Salome have created a welcoming and comfortable home with all the creature comforts. They are also pet friendly, which allowed me to bring my Doggo’s with me. There was even a bowl of water waiting for them :) So many places try to skimp on basic luxuries like hand soap, but there’s absolutely nothing left wanting in this accommodation.

We enjoyed the time and stay as we were a large group. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The area was quiet and we felt safe. Some of the bathrooms could do with some tlc. Nathalie and her team and great hosts

We felt right at home during our stay - the space was warm, beautifully set up, and had everything we needed, including more than enough blankets to keep us cozy. The hosts were incredibly responsive and made everything so seamless from start to finish. Thank you for such a lovely experience - we’d definitely love to return!

Awesome place! Super host! Great/safe area. Plenty of room to spread out. Peaceful river in the back. Everything was absolutely great during our stay. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Chiara and Jono's space was absolutely beautiful and so welcoming! They made us and our dogs feel so at home. Their two gorgeous dogs were very well behaved and friendly. We would absolutely visit again and definitely recommend the space to our family and friends 🧡

Loved our stay here! Such a great little place — really nicely decorated and super comfy. The bed was amazing and the heater kept the place so warm and cozy, through a really rainy and cool few days. Really appreciated the food left in the fridge, such a thoughtful touch and very generous! Super private spot with great off-street parking too. The host was lovely and really helpful. Would definitely come back again!

The tent was very neat and clean. I had a blast in the well equipped kitchen. I felt like a master chef. The view from the deck is out of this world. There are so many birds around. We loved that the dogs greeted us everyday, one of them even had a sleep over one night. We nicknamed the river, birds & frogs Natures Radio. My husband tried fishing but the river came down very strong, the barbers in the evening made up for that tho. We planned our days around fishing for barbers at night. Ask Ansie about the barbers when the light comes on!!! What an experience. Not to be missed. I don't at all have green fingers but noticed how pretty the gardens are all around the farm. We will definitely be back, as regularly as possible. If you need to reset your soul, Zeekoe Lodge is the destination. Don't know how Ansie is doing it, but all the mosquitos were on silent 🤣 they were there as expected on the river but I did not hear one of them.

The Host Paul allowed us to have our very small intimate wedding there.. it was the best night of my whole life and the propert is superb😍. I would not trade that night and the overall feel for anything else. I have to add that the staff member was walking around our guests and for most park of the wedding sat in the main houses' bar on his phone watching videos (the guest toilet is right next to the bar btw).. i eventually asked him around 23h00 when our guests left to please leave our house , it was quite awkward having him sit there watching videos while we all stand around the kitchen/ bar and all talking about how the wedding and night went.

Great Airbnb! The place was clean, neat and exactly as described. Communication was proactive and prompt. We really enjoyed our stay. Look forward to returning

Beautiful and tranquil surroundings and landscape. Timothy was a great host, very responsive and friendly. He tended to our requests and needs with urgency. We even ended up rebooking and extending our stay! Would definitely recommend this place for anyone who needs a break from the busy city or who needs to reconnect with nature.

The photos looked interesting and the reviews were fantastically positive - then the reality? Absolutely splendid! 10/10 - minus nothing! We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was spotless, cozy, private, safe, and secluded, with thoughtful touches throughout. Everything we needed (and more) was provided. Michelle was incredibly attentive, offering great advice and quick responses, and Vincent and Nadia were so kind helping us when we got stuck in the mud. Such warm, welcoming hosts. Thank you for an unforgettable getaway - we’ll definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay. The walk to the cave paintings was a lot of fun. There was more to do on the farm than we anticipated. We could have spent the whole weekend there without going out. That being said, its close to Bethlehem, Clarens and the Golden Gate Highlands Park, and we made full use of that. Will have to come back to explore the farm to its fullest.

The cottage was beautiful and pristine. Pear Tree had a beautiful, tranquil and peaceful feeling. The host had a clean and welcoming home, with all amenities provided for a wonderful stay. Beautiful walks and the fireplace in winter was just the cherry on top. Thank you Pear Tree!
