We absolutely loved our experience at Frank’s Winthrop basement apartment! Exceptionally good value for the beautiful area, comfy beds & a very easy to use TV for the rainy nights :) The one thing that would have really improved this place for me personally is enhanced privacy. I would have loved to have our basement apartment door lock from the outside. I didn’t feel unsafe by any means because our entrance was locked and had a keypad we shared with the hosts but would have loved to be able to lock the apartment up while we were exploring MA. A separate entrance for guests would have been awesome too but I recognize that is a tough ask renovation wise. My husband was not bothered by it at all but once I mentioned it, he agreed.

Great location! Great communication. Detailed check in instructions. The lake was beautiful! Very cozy inside the house with many beautiful views of the lake. We very much enjoyed our stay. Thank You! 😊

We live semi-locally (about 45 min away) but needed to be out of our house for a week while work was being done. We had specific needs because of my elderly mother and our dog - first floor bedroom, first floor bathroom with shower, within an hour from our home (so I could go back and forth), and accepting of pets. Bonus points - a desk to work from, and a comfortable home with all the amenities you'd need for a week. That's exactly what we got - which made the week that much less stressful. And how can you be stressed with the views from the upstairs bedrooms, and beautiful Scituate and Cohasset within minutes?! Hosts were helpful and responsive the whole time. Hopefully I won't need to stay again, but would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a spot in the area.

We had an absolute blast on our girls getaway weekend!! The cottage and community were amazing, exactly what we were hoping for and Doug couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He was always available by text or phone. The cottage was clean, nicely equipped, and a great location!! We will definitely be renting this cottage again on our next trip!!! Thanks for having us... we loved every minute!! 🧙🧙🧙

This was a last minute booking for our family for a quick getaway. It’s a serene setting that gave us exactly the recharge that we needed. We very much appreciated the host’s flexibility and responsiveness.

Great cozy apartment style airbnb with an ocean view. This was very relaxing and convenient to walkable restaurants. We appreciate Ryan accommodating some of our requests too. Highly recommend.

Stayed here with a few of my friends for a wedding and the place was perfect! Really close to the Barker House wedding venue, walkable to downtown Scituate. Beds were very comfy and the place was very clean. Overall, a great stay!

Our stay at this lovely Scituate Coastal Retreat was fabulous. The house was immaculately clean and the decor was perfection. The common areas were cozy, but spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with any tools/utensils we needed. Beds were comfortable and our party of 4 adults had plenty of room. The hosts left great suggestions for local dining and the house was only a 2 min drive (15min walk) to downtown Front St restaurants and shopping. Host Andrew was very responsive and wonderfully accommodating, allowing for a later check-out when requested. We were staying in the Winter, so perhsps check out time may not be as flexible in the warmer months. Check-in & check-out was a breeze! We hope to rent this property again. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Bill’s place again. The private beach was amazing. The views were stunning and the outside well well equipped with furniture. The house itself was beautiful. Updated and spacious. The kitchen had everything you could possible need for a gourmet meal. Sometimes when we rent houses, they are poorly equipped. Not this one. It was such a relief. The neighborhood was great and the next door neighbor was very friendly. The area has a lot of restaurants and stores, so everything is close by. Bill was very communicative and quickly responded to any inquiries. He was a great host. Honestly I have nothing bad to say.
