Micaela’s house is beautiful facing a stunning beach. Chinga welcomed us and let us in earlier than expected, which was a huge relief. He was incredibly responsive and helpful - always popped round when we needed him. Asante Chinga! Halima cooked us a lovely breakfast. We also had a great massage. We enjoyed the Yoga Bar, Imani Beach Hotel breakfast and a couple of good dinners at Zan View. The house is stylish, the sand garden delightful and through the tiny gate you are already on the beautiful beach. Definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Othman's home. It was the perfect peaceful retreat after our safari. It is very close to the beach and has its own beautiful garden. Othman is a very welcoming host and has many recommendations for both the local area and other parts of Zanzibar.

We had a wonderful time. The Villa is just brilliant. A little private oasis on a beautiful, huge beach. We loved watching the hustle and bustle of local industry (seaweed farming!) from the beach as well as tons of activity including horse riding and kite surfing. Despite this the beach did not feel overly busy. We went to the west side of the island at one point and were so pleased to be on the much less crowded east side. The villa was perfect. We thought we would cook but actually having Freddy, a private cook, a few times and also eating at local restaurants was so easy and cost efficient so we didn’t bother! The restaurant next door even brought the food to the villa. Mohammed looked after us brilliantly. Nothing was too much trouble and he kept the pool and beach surrounding the villa looking immaculate. Daily cleaning meant everything was ship shape. All in all a wonderful stay and great way to see in the New Year!

A slice paradise with private pool, right next to the beach, very secure and quiet and wonderful hosts (and dogs!). We had a fantastic time with the family. Thanks again & we would recommend staying here in a heartbeat.

the accommodation was even bigger than it appeared in the images: Carola and Mado did a really beautiful job! The house was equipped with everything you needed and the garden with a pool is very well cared for. in less than five minutes you reach the beach (with a couple of deserving restaurants) and this is very positive for those who, like us, did not know the area. very interesting to be able to order the groceries before arrival: we found everything you need to have breakfast in the morning and we didn't have to buy anythingelse (we had lunch and dinner at the restaurant). Carola was responsive from the first minute and Mado (known on the spot) was very kind, as was Salum (the man of reference on site). i would like to give you a suggestion: the apartment deserves to be lit with hot light bulbs (the white ones currently installed do not fully appreciate the environment). if we go back to Kiwengwa, we know where to sleep!

If you like a private place on a beautifull spot this is your place! The beach and house are beautifull and very authentic. The staff is amazing and the chef cooks the best mrals we have tasted on Zanzibar.

Great host. My only complaint is that they should have a solution for the flies so that you can enjoy outside without swatting them off the whole time. Lastly, it’s far from everywhere and everything and getting around became costly so take into consideration rebooking but the place is beautiful and peaceful.

Price performance ok. I liked the fact that the accommodation is occupied almost at any time, i.e. we had a very safe feeling even during our excursions. Breakfast is fine, you always get fruit and every day something different African. There are other things on request. Family atmosphere.

We enjoyed the accommodations. The weather was extremely hot during the afternoon, so we would come back and rest in the room until later in the evening. The area was peaceful and the room was comfortable for resting in the afternoon.

The house is very new and clean, the room is equipped with a private bathroom, it will be more convenient to give the room a few trash cans.

Karen unfortunately slipped and fractured her leg on our first day. The hotel owner and staff could not do enough to help us to enjoy our stay until we were repatriated. We were relocated to a poolside room, help was provided with all access whre required for the wheelchair. Nungwi is lovely and whilst we were unable to get on the beach the area is lovely with nearby local restaurants and bars. Thank you to all of you for making our stay fantastic

As the first guest at Lilou's Airbnb, I can stringly recommend staying here for thise looking for accommodation in the Kiwengwa area. I made my reservation last minute, but Lilou was a clear and fast communicator which enabled my stay to go ahead. The cosy apartment was extremely clean and had beautiful views towards the ocean. The beach was a short (but steep) 5 minute walk away. Park Village, where the Airbnb is located, is a secure, large housing complex - with many places still under construction and a good ("Upstairs") restaurant on site. Check in was via a local gentleman called Abdul who gave a short tour and handed over keys. The apartment was immaculate and had a beatiful pool to relax in after travel. Please note electrical sockets are all European style (2 round pins) rather than typical Type G Tanzanian sockets. Thanks Lilou for a great stay and best of luck with the airbnb, I would certainly be happy to stay again.

Just Heaven truly lived up to its name! The laundry service was a thoughtful touch, making our stay so much easier, though we did lose two bras—maybe blown away by the wind! Overall, a wonderful stay and we’d come back for sure!

Patrick was the best host we had in Sansibar. A friend of mine and I are travelling the island and Patrick was very kind and helpful, he booked us a Safari. Thanks for that 🙏🏻 Its nice to talk with him and he also cooked rice and beans for us which was very tasty!! Definitely recommend to stay in this apartment. We stayed 7 weeks at Saids place and liked it very much. From the beginning we had 2 people whom we could anytime ask for help. We felt very safe at Saids place and did not even shut the appartment with a key since there is a big fence around the buildung. The area in which the appartment is located is rather quiet the village ist about 5 minutes walk away and there are not many tourists around. The walking distance to the beach and a very nice resort called Waikiki is about 5 minutes away. Said himself was very helpful and friendly. He invited us for a great homemade dinner (the best we had in Zanzibar) and repaired Christians bicycle. We would be glad to come back stay there and meet Said again.

The place gave us exactly what we came for in Zanzibar, the beach front , only issue i had was how to get to the place , google map took us to different Zanzibar beach house and I didn’t have a sim card or data to communicate wt the owner , I think it’s better to use matemwe or just heaven apartment coz the locals know this places , the lady Esta was always there to help with whatever we needed and the owner always asking if we needed anything, so me and my friends felt at home . Beautiful location on the beach of Kiwengwa in Cairo in front of the sandy tongue. Very well restored house, it keeps the African taste intact with the right comforts . Excellent cuisine nearby and also wanting at home with the good Ramma, as well as a driver also as a cook. I loved the varied landscapes of the tides that created beautiful natural pools. Highly recommend. I'll definitely be back.

This little pad was perfect. Quiet, secure and basically in the heart of Nungwi beach. Beach and restaurants were a 2 minute walk. Supermarkets a 1 minute walk. The accommodation has two amazing bedrooms each with ceiling fan and AC. Hot showers. Also you get an amazing breakfast with the stay. Fresh mangoes, pineapples and Avacado. Eggs on toast and an endless supply of coffee. Maurizio being the Italian host lent me his perculator and Lavazza coffee from the old country. Any minor issues Maurizio and Priska attended to asap and were an absolute pleasure. We stayed for three weeks and did not want to leave. Thanks again Maurizio and Priska

It's a nice place to stay, big and comfortable. Hot water, good shower. Washing machine if you stay long, TV and sound system. Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Quiet area. Electricity was ok, internet quite slow and unstable. Abdurahman is easy to communicate, helpful and responsive. Will be glad to stay again!
