Lumen Designer Remodelled Kyomachiya | Double Bedroom + Scenic Bath Hidden in a Quiet Lane

This is a Kyo-machi house with nearly 100 years of history, while preserving the traditional structure and charm, it has been transformed by Japanese designers, incorporating the comfort and utility needed for modern life. There is a floor heating system throughout which makes it nice to stay even in the winter. There are two separate toilets, a bathroom that is thoughtful to meet the needs of multiple people staying.The bathroom has a bathtub with a view of the garden, so you can take a hot bath and relax your body and mind. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking yourself during a long stay and enjoy the charm of Kyoto's local ingredients. Located in a quiet alley in the heart of Kyoto, whether it is a trip to the historic Nijo Castle, or to the Nishiki Market and the Karasuma area shopping, all within a 15-minute walk, with both transportation and living function. 京町家コテージkarigane

Built in the early Showa era and long used as a tea ceremony classroom, the townhouse has been reborn as a private rental inn, "Kyomachiya Cottage karigane". It is a 1-minute walk to the hot springs and Daikokuji Temple, which has deep ties to tea. Shino, with its unique cafes, coffee roasters, delicious Japanese confectionery stores, bakeries, and soba shops. Please use the carefully restored Kyomachiya as your base for sightseeing in northern Kyoto, where time flows slowly, with a focus on natural materials and traditional craftsmanship by Miyadai Koge and Saigo craftsmen.

Our hotel’s place is near SENBON-MARUTAMACHI bus stop only 2 minutes walk from there. This is very useful bus stop, you can go directly to ARASHIYAMA , KINKAKUJI-TEMPLE,KIYOMIZU-TEMPLE, JR KYOTO STATION and so on. Our family founded Japanese rice shop in 1894 but I remodeled into hotel this spring. We are living long time here, and I want to keep my family’s business and hospitality mind for hotel work. Because the guest room is only 2, each room separate, so you can spend calmly and relax.
