Room with a View and Breakfast

MariahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
John was a great host, welcoming my son and I into his home. There was a nice sense of community in the home filled with past travelers and stories. I much more prefer the experience of a home than staying in a stuffy hotel. The accommodations were the perfect size for my son and I, not having to cook breakfast was a huge bonus and it was very delicious. The area is walkable, sadly it was a little cold and snowy to venture out on foot. Will definitely stay again!

Lavish Room in Downtown Mansion

NicahRating, 5 stars14 months ago
I absolutely loved staying here, and I can't wait to go back! If you love historical sites like I do, you'll love this place. Check-in was easy, and the pictures were accurate. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had tickets to the Orpheum Theater, which was only a six minute drive away. I enjoyed the complimentary wine they set out in the evening. It was a great place for my birthday staycation. Check it out!

Estate Rooms in Downtown Minneapolis

Very beautiful mansion in Minneapolis! We only spent one night but could’ve easily stayed a full week. Beautifully decorated in time for Christmas as well. Fully recommend the hot tub in the middle of winter, nobody else was up for the challenge so it was very private.

Convenient St. Paul location near Colleges

I was able to work from the kitchen table- where there was cereal, lots of cut up fruit and homemade mini muffins- which were delicious! They made the availability of the kitchen area open which was really appreciative. Super nice people. The bed was very comfortable and the tub was super deep- which was nice soak in. The neighborhood was beautiful! Walked many miles. easy access to the very inexpensive public transportations systems. Thanks for the opportunity to stay with your family.

Sunny Room in a Historic Home

AnitaRating, 5 stars18 months ago
A classic bed and breakfast experience with wonderful hospitality. I booked all three rooms in the house for a group of older relatives in town for a wedding. Kathi and Randy went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable, answering questions about the local area, providing history about the house and providing a first-class breakfast and snacks. They even took some sweet photos of the group together and texted them to me. The house has period décor with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. The three rooms - the Charming Room (Dickens), the Sunny Room (Charlotte) and the 2 Room Suite (Smith-George Suite) each have unique looks. The 2-room suite is very large and has stained glass windows, fireplaces and its own bathroom. The Sunny Room has a lovely view and shares the bath (located in the hallway) with the Charming Room, which is smaller.

Good Food, Good Fun, Waking In a Winter Wonderland

VictoriaRating, 5 stars27 months ago
Monica could not have been more welcoming as a host. (I also briefly met Russell and Rebecca, who were also lovely, but the North Minneapolis property at which I stayed was mainly managed by Monica.) Along with ensuring my access to a variety of amenities (however experienced I may be as a traveler, I always forget things!), Monica also went "above and beyond" as I was dealing with a flare-up of a mobility-limiting condition, finding a heating pad for my use and taking me on pharmacy and grocery runs when I could not otherwise manage other transit. Moreover, she prioritized my well-being as an immunocompromised person by declining reservations from additional guests, absent their assurance in advance concerning their vaccination status. I found her highly knowledgeable about the area and a very caring, sincere human being overall.

What a great place for me and a gal friend to have a stay-cation. Beautiful history everywhere but also very tidy and homey. I’m super happy with the price and the location. Can’t wait to try again in the summer months! Thank you!

Loved the home! The architecture is beautiful, loved the historic decor. We LOVED the jetted tub! Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to extreme weather conditions, but absolutely plan on rebooking for my birthday!

Pet Loving Garden home Minnesota Twins & Vikings

ArthurRating, 5 stars28 months ago
Monica was a very gracious host. She really took us in under her wing. She stocked the fridge for us and even got some gluten free bread when she realized that a member of our party was gluten intolerant. She went out of her way to help us feel welcome, comfortable, and at home. Her place was very clean and tidy. She even had boxes that we could put our toiletries in to keep them in the bathroom. She also had a fabulous garden. She said it wasn't as great as it usually is, but we thought it was lovely all the same. I would definitely stay with her again. She's a great lady and we were lucky to meet her and be hosted by her. Thanks!

Ryan's place was very pleasant and peaceful. He was very responsive each time I booked the reservation and the process for checking in and coming and going was excellent. Felt like living in your own studio apt. I would definitely stay again and recommend anyone else to do so. Thank you Ryan for being such a wonderful host.
