A quiet place by a quiet bay at the countryside. There is no public transport. The road to our place is a narrow road up the hill towards the mountain Beinisvør. By the town Lopra (before the tunnel to Sumba) you turn right. "Um Hestin". Before the top of the hill, turn left: Víkabyrgi. Our house is the last one on your left side. The Harbour-master´s house in Tvøroyri on Suðuroy.

This cosy traditional faroese house from 1930 is located central in the town and in walking distance to café shops and supermarkets. The bus drives directly from the ferry to the house, so it´s not necessary to bring a car to come to the house. This house is perfect, if you like to experience the island of Suðuroy or just to relax in Tvøroyri. Suðuroy is the southern island of the Faroe Islands and has a lot of beautiful places, where you can hike. The host is ready to help you with advices.

Luksus sommerhus i fantastiske omgivelser.

Luksus sommerhus fra 2022 i skønne omgivelser med en fantastisk udsigt, beliggende i et afsides sted med et utroligt rigt dyreliv. Du kan møde harer lige udenfor huset, og fugle bygger reder runt omkring i græsmarkerne. Der er 12 sengepladser i huset, plus 2 rejsesenge til småbørn, men masser af plads for ekstra madrasser på gulvet. Fra juli 2023 er det muligt at leje adgang til jacuzzi til 6 personer mod ekstra gebyr. 1.000kr for 1 dag, de efterfølgende dage koster det 500kr pr dag.

Her kan du roligt læne dig tilbage og slappe af i vores unikke og rolige sommerhus. Huset blev bygget i 1920, men er netop blevet nyrenoveret. Nyd den flotte havudsigt fra næsten alle vinduer. Placeringen er central. Den lokale købmand ligger 250 m fra huset, og 30 m fra huset ligger kajen, hvor der er mulighed for at fiske. Der er 4 værelser, 2 større og 2 mindre. Tilsammens er der 7 sovepladser. Kun 10 min kørsel til fodboldhal, svømmehal, café’er og resturanter.

Næsten 200 år gammelt fredet stenhus i den i historiske bygd Húsavík på Sandoy. Du bor tæt på naturen i et gammelt traditionelt færøsk stenhus med græs på taget, vægge af træ og træ- og stengulve. Huset er i en længe, hvor du går igennem ’røgstuen’ (hvor sovepladsen er) ind i stuen (glasstuen). I røgstuen er der højt til loftet, mens der i stuen er lavere, med udsigt over havet. Badeværelse af ældre dato, og et lille køkken med nye elementer og opvaskemaskine.

"Petursborg" luxury in Vágur

Luxury Villa Peter Dahl built "Petursborg" (Peter's Castle) in 1907 when he was the mayor of Vágur. Peter was a visionary man with a pioneer spirit. Among many projects he established the local bank, built the road through the village and was also deeply involved in the first hydro electric plant in the Faroe Island, located in Vágur. The entire house was renovated from 2022 to 2024 and is today a beautiful old style house with a modern touch.

Suduroy, luxury and cozy house with sea view

My traditional Faroese house is located on the southern island, Sudoroy, surrounded by breathtaking nature with public transportation right by the door. The 2 hour ferry trip to the island, return ticket about 11 euro and 37 euro with car, is beautiful. Newly renovated house decorated stylish and simple with danish designs. Beautiful sea and mountains view from all rooms.

We renovated this old boathouse recently. There is a rowingboat available as well. It is the family’s boat. The house offers you a peacefull sanctuary to collect your thoughts. 5 minutes walking distance to groceryshopping. Bus stop to the rest of the island is oposite the house as well. There is a bed for two people and a couch that also can fit two people

Family house near the sea in Suduroy/Faroe Island

Our house is in Vágur, Suðuroy. It is spacious and has four bedrooms. Petrol station, Magn, is in walking distance. We are the closest neighbours to Pálshøll, aquatic center. The location is perfect for exploring Suðuroy, and Vágur has dining and shopping oppourtunities. We personally love walking around the lake west from the village.
